      It’s Just Kenya Diy skincare can be damaging to the skin tho! It's recommended to not use physical exfoliaters for sensitive, dry skin. For oily skin it is more ideal, but switching to BHA's and AHA's is a much wiser choice.
      When using lemon juice in Diy skincare, make sure the percentage of it is less than the other ingredients in it. Lemon juice sensitizes the skin which can damage it actually a lot.
      For more info you guys should watch James Welsh and Liah Yoo on skincare, they are game changers and open up your mind to what skincare really is!

    Honestly, I’m a bit envious of her skin. I’m Korean-American and follow a multi-step skincare routine too. But I still deal with hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation. Then again, I’m sure there are other factors in her favor (diet, age, climate, etc.). Plus, I live in a very sunny area where no amount of sunscreen can keep me pale (though it doesn’t stop me from trying). Oh well, not everyone can look like a K-pop star. I do feel lucky that I have natural double-eyelids though.

    • @ぷらちな-y2t

      Lotus Song hey I live in very sunny area too. But I take vitamin C 3 times a day and use sunscreen. After few hours, I reaply it. Plus I try to wear cardigan when I drive or be in the sun for long time. So far I'm able to keep my skin white!

    • @lotussong1
      @lotussong1 5 лет назад +4

      *i'M sO pUrE* It sounds like either cystic acne or a bug bite. If it really itches, it’s probably a bug bite. If it hurts when you press it with your finger, it’s probably a pimple. For a bug bite, I’d recommend hydrocortisone cream/gel. For a cystic pimple, I’d recommend a pimple patch and/or acne spot treatment. Hope this helps!🙂

    And about that Neutrogena hydro boost cream, you should use it! It's great for all skin types, has an unscented version, softens skin and makes your skin hydrated and plump! It even makes a bit shiny! The Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser is a gel cleanser that gently exfoliates so you can use it on the daily. It also has hyaluronic acid that plumps and refreshes skin. It's soap free, oil free, paraben free and non-comedogenic. But when using the cleanser beware that it contains AHA (alpha hydroxy acid in case you didn't know) which can make the skin more sensitive to sunburn so I always apply sunscreen after using it. Sorry for the long posts but I like talking about this kind of stuff. Also I got the cream, apricot scrub and cleanser at Target for those wondering.

    Girl you glow, you have such clear and perfect skin i'm kinda jealous ! The products are very expensive though, they must work really well if they are that high in price, anyways maybe i'll give them a try once I end puberty, my skin is going through many changes causing me to have rosacea, oily skin, and also blackheads :( But I scrub daily with lemon and baking soda so it's not that bad it's actually pretty clear, so i'll stick to my scrubs and creams for now XD

    • @Sashimi1408
      @Sashimi1408 4 года назад +2

      Lemon and baking soda is the worst thing you can do to your skin! Any physical scrubs are too abrasive and cause micro cuts to your facial skin that will damage it. You may not see it yet, but it will certainly show in a few years. Use a chemical exfoliant like AHA (glycolic acid) or BHA (salicylic acid - this one is gentle and also good for rosacea and skin prone to breakouts and blackheads). You can get really good ones from Paula's Choice. Just start with a lower % dosage or AHA/BHA and do it 1-2 times a week. Your skin will improve and certainly thank you for ditching the physical scrubs :)

    Also other stuff I use on my face includes St. Ives apricot face scrub, Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser, Neutrogena hydro boost water gel cream and this diy scrub I made but don't really use often but would like your thoughts on the recipe!
    (I make the scrub in a washed out baby food jar)
    A teaspoon of sugar
    A teaspoon of salt
    A teaspoon of green tea
    A teaspoon of black tea
    A few teaspoons of coffee
    Pour in a bit of honey, apple cider vinegar and olive oil and then mix well. I used to use it a lot but after learning that there is a risk with using olive oil on my face I don't do it much. But when I do I use it before I wash my face.

      병순 Don’t do it! Although it might work for some people, your skin can’t adapt to a change so quickly. Yes you can introduce new products to your routine but your skin isn’t the same all the time. Use only what your skin needs!

      We're so sorry to hear about your experience. We know first hand what a chore it can be dealing with sensitive or breakout prone skin. It can also be a lot for the skin to deal with when introducing 10 new products all at once. We're big on the "skip care" trend, where you only use the products your skin really needs. If it helps, I am HUGE on skincare now but when I first started, I couldn't go FULL OUT either. I had to introduce one step at a time, giving my skin an adjustment period before adding another. Now I am up to a 10 step program! :)
      Also, second tip! You may still be able to have the steps, just maybe without using ALL korean products. All my skincare even now is a mix of korean and American products but I still have my 2 cleansers, toner, essence, serum..etc. Some are cleansing story, some are neutrogena, some are random brands that worked. My point is, find what brands work for your skin and see how many of the steps you can accomplish safely. :) Good luck! :D

      idiot sandwich she means her skin is oilier than the average person. The average person has a mixture between oily and dry. Even when she washed her face, throughout the day the oil builds up. Using a lot of products that are normally for dry skin would increase the amount of oil buildup and that would cause more and more breakouts lol.
