Real turn of fate Love turn to hate And you can bring em to the water but you cant help em drink There's an old adage that goes "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink" which means "you can tell someone your opinion and why it's right, but whether they acknowledge that and change their mind is on them". In other words it's pointless to try and convince someone stubborn of something.
