Flying on City Hills - Inline Skating City Flow Skate

- I discovered a section of the city that has amazing opportunity for speed if traffic is on your side. This my be my fastest inline skating session yet. I actually began this session more tired than usual as I'd gone to bed late the night before and didn't sleep well. Maybe that's why I was favoring this area where the gravity was a little more helpful. Although even when things flattened out I found myself continuing to pump through the speed. An early morning skate is never a bad decision, even if you don't feel your best to start!

Man I started skating last week with the goal to go to work (2.2km) skating, I am now confident in parks where I have a lot of space and the road is smooth, but in the streets with all the bumps and obstacles, and way less space, it's something else. I hope I'll stay motivated and end up being as good as you !
Very nice video, can't wait to see more !
That’s awesome, welcome to the community! I have a feeling you’ll look back shortly and wonder why you thought things were so hard. But that’s also totally normal. Learning to skate confidently on various surfaces doesn’t just happens automatically. Keep pushing yourself to improve, but never let it stop being fun and stay close to your limits to avoid injury or accidents. If you’re having fun, nobody can tell you you’re doing it wrong. Happy skating :)
Nice flow! I hope I'll end up in Philadelphia one day, so we can get skating together! 🙂
Thanks! Skating together would be great. I would definitely let you know if I ever find myself going to Belgium.
@@rerollinginline It would be awesome to see you guys take on either location.
its always so relaxing to watch :) inspiring me to also do these kind of videos!
Do 'em! Honestly, I'm here because I found Bill Stoppard's channel. Never skated outside of pickup roller street hockey as a kid. After 22 years off skates, at the age of 38, I threw my skates on to just have some fun and shoot around the rink one day. Felt amazing, but then I found Bill's channel, decided to try urban skating and now here I am. One goal of the channel is just to get more skate videos out there for people to see. I'm trying to pay forward the inspiration I got from Bill.
@@rerollinginline crazy, all I did was play street hockey as a kid aswell haha 👍👍
It is incredible how you skate without a doubt, and your musical taste the same! Are you planning to put another camera on your chest to be able to add 2 different perspectives at the same time?
Thanks so much for the support! I've been meaning to play a little more with camera angles and perspectives. Since this is a 360 cam, I actually have the forward-facing perspective as well, I just usually don't export it reframed in that way.
@@rerollinginline You are great greetings from Spain! Barcelona! :D
Another great video. Skaters should always be learning advanced techniques (as I have said in previous posts, your soul slide use got me to finally commit to using it) but besides your excellent footwork, people need to watch your head. The head on a swivel technique is integral to street skating safety. It is not unique to this video, but it shocks me seeing other skate looking over the wrong shoulder, etc. Keep smoking those roads and stay safe, bro.
Totally agree about head movement. I respect the city environment because it’s inherently dangerous. However, if you focus on awareness, I find you can mitigate a large amount of risk. People have asked if I’m scared of getting hit by a car or something, but I don’t think they realize how careful I’m actually being. There’s a lot of footage I capture that doesn’t make it into the videos because I have to yield my line to traffic, pedestrians etc. and it’s just not as interesting. And of course the reason I yield is because I’m paying attention and avoiding problems ahead of time. What does make it into the videos are the lines where I’m free and open. I think when I’m sprinting down a street in the center of a major city, it might seem reckless, but it’s really not. I’ve thought about doing a video on safety and the stuff I do to try to keep myself safe the city.
Bruh, 5k SUBS?!!! Congratulations, what an amazing milestone! Wishing you continued success; thank you for sharing your skills, knowledge, and passion!
Yeah, I wasn't even expecting 100 subs on this channel, but here we are. Appreciate the support, thanks!
I love watching these vids. I like rollerblading and do it every single day, but I live in florida where every inch of land is made for cars, homes, or stores. So I can't really do it a lot. I've been told I have talent with it for how young I am and how quickly I learned how to, but I feel like even if I'm good at it, I have a lot to learn still. So much to find out and I don't know where to start. Thanks for making these vids though, it makes me happy knowing that maybe I'll be able to skate in these big cities where roads aren't cramped with cars.
These videos are sick! Exactly what I was looking for!
I'm glad you like 'em.
The forward shots are boring, film from behind!
man i always love your videos bro the views the skating the slides the music the how focused you are of the street love it keep it up
Truly appreciate the kind words and support. Thank you 🙏
LOVE THE SPEED!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Same😎
Me too, haha!
@Radek top speed is probably about 25mph going downhill. If I’m just cruising around flat, anywhere from like 12mph to 18mph probably.
Incredible skating bro 😎 wish I had roads like that where I live..
Thanks! Yeah the bit where I'm going the fastest was just a dream. Super smooth, a nice downhill and I caught some green lights.
Perfect, 🎉 how do you choose the right time and distinction? Is it a Wings suite fly in the city?
⚡💯🎉⚡
The eight minutes are too short. ☺What a beautiful city, all skaters (and those who don’t skate as well) would like the same !😍 Thank you very much for this ride !👍😉
Thank you so much, I appreciate the support!
This is so cool! I do enjoy getting outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Maybe I outta give inlines a try. Haven't skated in like 20 years. What could possibly go wrong!
I hadn't skated in 22 years when I came back and started this channel. I had only played pickup street roller hockey on skates. Never tried urban skating and didn't even know you could slide on skates, on asphalt. This past 1.5 years I've been back and doing this channel has been immensely fun. I've learned a lot and improved my skating too. A very healthy activity for me, both physically and mentally.
Это очень круто!
I started Ice Skating for 3 months now and I bought me a pair of CCM shoes… i came across a couple of your videos and I said Im missing out a lot! I love the idea of gliding freely and swiftly through neighbors and cities. Now I need new inline skates 0.0 ✨
Thank you for being such an influence 🔥
Amazing, I love hearing comments like these! I was inspired in the same way, which is one of the reasons I’m here. Skating has been amazing for me.
I have an idea - it would be super cool to see graphical representation of your heart rate while you’re going. Not sure how you could do that, but putting it out there :)
I have a Garmin watch with wrist-based heart rate monitoring, but that's obviously not synced up with my camera. Sadly it would probably be more work than it's worth to align that data.
@@rerollinginline I know that Garmin watches have heart rate broadcast feature, but I am sure camera has to have a support for this to get data automatically. Will have a look, as for curious now.
Dovresti provare a fare un video unicamente senza musica,ma l'unica musica quelle dei tuoi pattini sull'asfalto
Can you talk about doing forward to back transitions at high speed? They terrify me at this point 3+ years in..
I use the "mohawk" transition. I think it's the safest and most stable at high speeds. There are probably many tutorials out there. Even if you learn it, it may take a while before you're comfortable at speed, so stay safe! I think I got good at transitions because I learned to skate from playing hockey as a kid and you're constantly changing between forwards and backwards in hockey.
Cooooollll!!!!! 💪💪💪👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥 Wonderful music!!! Amazing!!!
Thanks so much, glad you liked it and the music!
which model of roller you can recomended for rookie?
i love this kind of videos
Glad you liked it!
What knee pads/wrist guards do you like? I'm a hockey player and just got inlines to play with during the summer. I've been looking for something low profile, not too bulky.
The wrist guards are 187 Killer Pads. The knee pads, I actually don't like and wouldn't recommend. They're slim, but they're cheap and not as protective as I'd like. I've had them slide down during a fall and still get road rash. I honestly don't really have any recommendations for knee pads. I also have a set of 187 Killer knee pads, which are definitely more protective and better quality, but also bulkier. You'll always have to find the point on the scale between bulky/protective or slim/not as protective.
Hi buddy I thoroughly enjoy your videos man. Question for you is which endless frames do you prefer 90 or 100 I see you've had both.
I have a great time on the 100s, but I prefer the 90s for my style of skating and my foot length (265mm).
Hi i'm very curious about the tire compound you are using, is the 85a easy to use for multiple slides?,
because I tried to slide a few times using 85a it feels gripy, it's too sticky with asphalt
These wheels are 85A Rollerblade Hydrogen wheels. Sliding is more about technique than urethane compound. Some wheels may slide easier than others, but once you learn the technique you should have no problem with different wheels. I have also used 86A Undercover Team Blank wheels, which do slide easier than these Hydrogens, but I know how to adjust for the wheels I’m on since I’ve practiced so much and have the skills now. You have to remember that these wheels aren’t designed to just lose traction and slide, otherwise rollerblading would be much more dangerous, lol. So it’s about getting the wheels in the correct position. Sliding takes time to learn, for sure. But like anything, if you practice properly you will continue to improve.
Great Video Bro! Yesterday I was skating with a bright orange shirt and grey shorts myself! Only thing I lacked was your skills ha ha ha
Haha, nice. Glad you got out. It was raining all day where I live yesterday, but I got a good city session in the day before.
@@rerollinginline Trying to get out there as much as I can! it's almost July already, summer is going by fast!
As always very entertaining, thanks.
Please dont forget to record a triskate session.
Thanks for the support! I’ve got a some triskate stuff coming up.

What is the highest km/h you make
I like your videos.
Greetings from Germany 👍😎
Thanks for the support!
In my opinion, when god created you he accidentally made you a human instead of a bird
Lol, I'm not very good with heights so I'd make a terrible bird. I like flying at ground level.
Your videos give me peace
Thanks for this. Your style is exactly mine 20 years ago... Smoking down a sidewalk and for absolutely no reason... clicking your heals together just because you are having fun. I am going to have to dust off the 5-wheel K2s in the closet.
What skates are these? how are they able to ride over dirt, grass and gravel so clean?!?!
These are FR1 Deluxe Intuition with Endless 90 frames. I don't do much grass riding with them, but if the grass is hard it's not so bad.
Wow in philly kk then
Could You tell me What kind of wheels do You prefer?
I’ve really only used Rollerblade Hydrogen (85A hardness) and Undercover Team Blank (86A hardness) and I think both are great. In this video, I’m using Hydrogens.
What is the normal speed of skating a flat surface?
That is a good question, but as always it depends. When i skate with 4x90 (which are only 85, due to wear) my average speed on longer distances is around 25kph. But as soon as the asphalt gets worse and i have to face head wind the speed drops to 20kph.
How does the licensing work with paying well known tracks? I wonder about this before building my own channel
I don't pay for the music, but RUclips detects it in the video and flags it with a "copyright claim". They know I'm using the music and allow me to keep the video, but I can't monetize it. They may also run ads, but the ad money goes to the musicians, not me. So in a way I'm "paying" to use it by forfeiting any kind of money I could otherwise make if I used royalty-free music. I just can't stand the royalty free stuff.
So if monetizing your channel is something you want to do, you should stay away from licensed music. Also keep in mind that either the artists or RUclips could change how they want it to work at any time. I'm at their mercy. Obviously to me, having the music is more important than making money.
@@rerollinginline thanks for taking the time to reply.
Your videos have inspired me to start doing something similar. I like in a beautiful city (Valencia, Spain) the perspective you capture with the 360 is unbelievable.
I wonder if you ever got a fine from a policeman?
Not yet!
Nice music 👌Did you ever think of creating a music playlist on RUclips or Spotify for others to listen during skating?
Thanks, glad you like it! That's not a bad idea at all. A lot of the stuff I use for my videos are from playlists I already have on Spotify that I listen to regularly at work and such.
❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
You know what sick?! I can't define which configuration os better; 4x80 or 3x110 after my flights around the city..... 🇧🇷🤙#loveskate #skateislive
If you can decide which is better, that just means you’ve got two great options!
By the way, I like your video very much, I just wonder how quickly I would get a ticket for such skating in my country.
That's why I was curious if you ever had a problem with the policemen because of roller skating?
Thanks. I'm not sure exactly what I'd get a ticket for. I do go through red lights if it's safe, and I there may be laws against using skates on sidewalks. Honestly though, I try to be as respectful as possible when I'm skating and stay out of people's way.
Hey I just discovered your channel and love your content! I’ve been rollerblading my whole life. I’m in Manayunk and wondering if you’d ever be down to shred Philly together??
Hey thanks for watching! Nice to hear from another skater in the area. Shoot me an email at rerolling.inline@gmail.com so we can chat!
What type/size of wheels do you have? Mine just grip immediately when I try to stop without a heel brake. Awesome videos!
In this video I've got Rollerblade Hydrogen wheels. 90mm and 85A hardness. Sliding takes some time to get used to, but it's like anything - each time you do it, it gets a tiny bit easier. I was shocked to learn people could even slide on rollerblade wheels when I came back to skating.
Love watching you skate backwards
Not sure why skating backwards is so fun, but it is.
@@rerollinginline It is! I couldn’t tell you why either, but I like your technique!
I used to skate all the time as a kid, I don't no why I stopped. A decade or so later just bought a pair of skates, thanks for re-igniting something in me that I'd lost :)
Yes, I love seeing this kind of comment. I’m the same, hence “Rerolling”. I never did any urban or city skating before I started this channel, but I was inspired by other channels!
What do you use to record yourself?
360 cam on a selfie stick. Gear is listed in the video description.
request please, can you post but not with music🙏🙏🙏
Out of curiosity: do you not like the music choices, just prefer skate sounds or both? If I were to post versions without music, I'd probably just make them all unlisted and throw them in a playlist. I don't want tow versions of every video I upload competing with each other or confusing viewers.

Hello bro, i love your content and it's been helping me alot on tracks and I wanted to ask that which place do u scate cause the roads over there are smoooth 😀
Thanks for the support, I appreciate it! My city skating videos are in the city of Philadelphia in the US.
I wish my main skating area was as interesting. I mostly skate in the hilly section of a suburbian neighborhood where I live.
Most of my sessions are in the suburbs, where I live as well. These city sessions are on weekends when I have more time. Philly is at least 30 mins from me, so it takes a while to get there, park, skate and get home. I'm still not complaining though. There are some more city-like towns in the burbs I'll skate as well. Some of my older videos are from those areas.
Sweet, Dude! Love the soundtrack and the vibe! 👏
Thanks! I'm glad with how this one came together. One of my favorites.
what the name of your camera
My gear is in the video description.
Another great video from you!
What size reel do you use? Do you recommend rather 80mm or rather larger - if you want to ride the same distance as you do in the videos?
Do you find "FR Skates" of the quality super or do you recommend another brand?
Best regards
In this video I'm riding 4x90mm, which is my personal favorite for the kind of skating you see in this video. I've also done 4x100mm and 5x80mm. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but it really all comes down to personal preference. You have to just try different things and see what you like. The only skates I've used are these FR skates, and they've served me well. I don't have any real complaints, but I also don't have anything to compare them to.
@@rerollinginline Thank you for the detailed answer. I will also go for FR skates. Thanks for the videos ✌🏻 Skating is a great balance and hobby!
Nice flow and route😀😎👌👍💪
Thanks as always for watching 🙏
It's nice to see a new video ! By the way, I was meaning to ask what is your favorite or most used setup ?
Thanks! I’ve only got the one boot: FR1 Deluxe Intuition, but my favorite frames are my Endless 90, in the 4x90 rockered configuration. Just a great all around setup, especially in the city.
@@rerollinginline Thanks for the reply ! I got next 80 boots, I actually bought new wheels for them since the originals were 88A. I got a 86A since they didn't have 85A, right after I was thinking that i could of gotten a 90mm wheels since i can use them on the next 80 frame i think. Also i thought I would like to buy myself the endless frame but the trinity mounting one, but since I'm refreshing my basic rollerblading skills I guess I'll just practice on this setup for now :d
Hey, what bearings do you use? id really like to know. Thanks
