Did I detect low blood sugars in today's episode? I do know it culminated in you standing in front of a tree in Alfriston for the sign-off and you looked like you had a weird shock of hair! Freeze frame it, it will make you smile! Another top quality offering and as the rain starts to pelt it down here, I can hardly wait for the next installment, in which our intrepid walker takes on nature's harshest elements. Can you walk the Great Wall of China next, please? That will give us days of footage and insights into your mind! CD#123
Well done cool dude. One hell of an achievement so far. Don't think I've ever walked more than 10 miles so will stick to that but would love to do some bits of the SDW #168
Good work Cool Dude. I did the SDW in both directions - but it took me over a year. I cannot imagine what walking 10+ miles over multiple days must be like - it usually takes me a week to recover doing just one such stroll! I'm also trying to finish off the IoW coastal path in both directions, so I've enjoyed your videos very much indeed.
Thanks cool dude. It is the cumulative effect of the long walks is exhausting. I could manage one long day, also the weight of the rucksack with camping gear makes a huge difference.
You'll be modeling the next version of that back massager... no idea how a young, athletic, mildly photogenic girl got the gig over you tbh! 'Penultimate-day-portable-ponies-as-a-pick-me-up' technique from the South Downs rangers - top walking!
You had a far better time than I did through this section. After crossing the Ouse, the rain came in. On the higher ground, I met fierce winds as cloud concealed all visibility. Waterproofs failed. Head down all the way to Alfriston... Where I very nearly gave up to forge a way home! I had nothing bad to say about the campsite. But then, I arrived soaked through to the skin and was in such a mood I just curled up and tried to forget that bag of mushroom pasta!! Anyway, I look forward to your final day and post-tent thoughts. According to Google, Blackdown is the highest point in the National Park but I don't think it's on the trail. Butser Hill is the highest of the horrible chalk escarpment... But the SDW just skips past it.
The tent was pretty good. I don't know how people get comfortable in the one man ones. I haven't tested it in the rain yet. So much of walks are weather dependent, I think the wind was the biggest obstacle in my South Downs Way.
@@cdwc I agree, I've never tried a one man tent for that reason. My other problem is length... It's not as if tents get longer as the berth increases. Will you be doing a video review of the kit you took, what worked, what didn't get used?
I've done a top ten of my favourite gear. I pretty much used everything in my pack so have no idea how to make it lighter. Maybe carbon fibre trekking poles. Top ten list will be out tmw or the day after if I don't burn out from all the editing.
Marek - do you include additional mileage for 'walking away from camera' and return shot ? Added together we could be talking about record breaking numbers !
Well done, your doing great. You must have pretty sore plates of meat by now. I love the views . It would be interesting to know why you like the hobby walking and where it began ? Sorry just being nosey. You can Chalk up another victory ! You can Chalk up another victory.

to dog poo man or whomever .....'If you spent a bit more on your phone you would not have to talk so loudly'. Great to say on a train. 'Who said that?'
I would like a graph that pinpoints the exact moment in time where people became such inconsiderate bilgegullets. Hope you weren't put off ya cake too much. Gonna be sad when this ends tomorrow.
Oh my goodness!Marek and his my little pony club How adorable!
They were after strawberry laces.
@@cdwc I hope you didn't indulge them.
Marek you brave soul. Think the most I’ve done in a day is about 10 miles....you make me laugh.
If Marek were ever to start a Coolest Dudes’ Walking Club, enamel pins of his head from the Walk Ratings should totally be part of the package.
Surely you can't get cooler than a cool dude.
Just found your channel loving it 🤘
Nice one. Thanks dude.
I get way too excited when these are uploaded
OH. MY. GOD. Those ponies! I would have wasted a solid 15 minutes (at least!) just petting them.
It was as if I had stepped into a pony dream world.
@@cdwc Just don't become a brony.

The long day five definitely broke me. I am surprised I still had the capacity to talk.

Yes, a lot of it from Bramber to Alfriston is great.
Thanks for the walk mate xxx
Those little horses can be evil buggers, you had a narrow escape.
Yes there was a shetland pony in the field at the back of my house when I grew up. It was a total arsehole.
I just very nearly went ahead and watched part seven of your fantastic journey, before I'd even watched this one, part six!
Watch it in reverse and I get less tired and grumpy as the series goes on.
At the risk of sounding pedestrian, what absolutely gorgeous weather you had!
What! Did you not see the wind. THE CONSTANT WIND. Other than that I was pretty lucky.

It should be a law that if a little pony follows you home you get to keep it! ♡♡ Lol

I woke up this morning singing "Ocean Drive".
😁😁😁😁😁 we will all be singing it now
Marek - do you include additional mileage for 'walking away from camera' and return shot ? Added together we could be talking about record breaking numbers !
I reckon it only adds a few metres.
Day six and I took a break in my rewatchathon. Iced coffee and a deluxe hot crossed bun (don’t judge, I know it’s still February).
Marek these are great but you’ve got that silly song stuck in my head. Keep in up. Cool dude number 04
Nice one Cool Dude. Looking forward to seeing you and your Dad's videos.

@@cdwc interesting. A great hobby.
That website is brilliant
A CHAT PRAT?
Membership number??? I don’t think you gave me one Marek cause I’m odd 😂
@Simon Simon I refused the stuff too because I didn't want to waste Marek's money on international shipping. I still got a membership number.
When did you apply for membership? I will send you a number.
Yes I thought I sent you a card. Your number is #160.

For some reason I can’t read that funky font you use and read “walk ratings” as “wank rations”. I think I have a problem
Every Marek video is wank rations
What Jefy said.
I'd call the dog poo bloke, "Verbal Pooman bloke"! Cool Dude #172
Good advertising quote!!! Extra points.
Excellent!!!
Well done Sharon. You've won. Cementing your 'Really Cool Dude' Status. A notebook on its way to you.
Brilliant, thankyou very much!!
Maybe they are full size horses and you just grew taller...
Yes I have definitely grown in stature during this walk.
