Im getting fed up with how sun glasses marek is treating you lately you WERE very brave going up that mountain!! U should knock his glasses off!? Mean glasses marek!
Sunglasses Marek says he is watching you.
I think my answer is the generic answer for many, but Freddie Mercury. He was an absolute showman, and I'd love to have seen what else he'd have achieved. Good walk btw 👍
This is beautiful!! You should definitely go to north devon and walk along from clovelly to hartland to spekes mills, you will love it!!! Good smuggling history along there too ❤️
I just looked it up. It looks cool. Does it have any scary paths next to steep drops though?
Nothing too bad. From hartland quay to spekes possibly but the path is set back quite far from the edge and there is a fence next to the cliff. The smugglers pub is a beauty exactly half way, so ideal for lunch :)
Great to see you walking in Conwy harbour and up mountain. Well done for continuing up the scary steep path. Hope you felt proud. It’s a lovely place to visit.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. A beautiful part of the world.
The Camp Snap images are coming out a lot nicer than I expected.
Great walk, Marek! Maybe your best one yet. I just started watching your video a couple months ago, and I see you just reached 10k subscribers. Congratulations! Love the videos!
Thanks cool dude.
How nice to see you on a walk I've actually done myself! Hiked the Snowdonia Way in 2019. I'd love to give Heath Ledger quite a few decades more.
It would have been very interesting to see what he'd have done next.
Great views on that walk. Nice to see you getting around the UK.
Rik Mayall needs bringing back, but Buddy Holly is a great choice.
Finally someone agrees with me about Buddy Holly. He was only 22! No-one manages to do anything great by 22. I would love to have heard the 70's drug induced Buddy Holly phase.
I have got a gilet and I am not ashamed.
Thanks for spelling it out. I had to google what it was.
I'm so glad to have "discovered" these videos. I'm quite addicted now, so you need to keep them going. Not sure if you read the Giaurdiaen, but yesterday's had an article on long walks by David Nicholls. It was great... and between his article and watching your videos, I've decided to do a lone 3 or 4 day walk in the coming weeks. I'll keep you updated.
Scottish/Irish correspondent.
Jumpers, hate them (I like a gilet, great thermal regualtion as I'm quick to overheat). Steve Irwin is good shout for one to save (from comment below), he was a good kid.
In the future there will be a war between jumper and gilet wearers.
What a stunning big walk in North Wales!
Thanks Rustle.
Love the pigeon horror film cool dude.
This is an accurate emoji depiction of the film. I need to do a mountain emoji and it would be perfect.
Fantastic walk, cool dude! Hope you managed to get a few more North Wales walks in
Yes some more coming cool dude.
Great video Marek with some pretty amazing camera work 👍🏼- looks like you’re getting good at this! Still catching up with all your vids and enjoying them all- membership subscription incoming.
Oh yeah, I’d save Superman (Christopher Reeve)
I like the Christopher Reeve film with Jane Seymour when he travels back in time.
I had to double check the thumbnail and channel name but brilliant to see you up in North Wales, Marek! If there's more to come then I look forward to seeing it - I'd love to see your reaction to the queues of people heading up Snowdon!
No chance of a Cool Dudes embroidered gilet, then?.....
I think Snowdon would definitely be too steep for me cool .
I would save Freddie Mercury as I think he had a lot more great songs up his sleeve
A lot of people agree with you on that cool dude.
Celeb i would save...
Steve Irwin.
Stunning walk. Well done on conquering those steep slopes. Wearing flip flops anywhere that isn't within walking distance of a beach/swimming pool should be banned.
Flip flops and socks!!!!
Beautiful views. Well worth the walk. I would save Tolkien.
He lived until he was 81 cool dude.
True, but it would have been nice if he had finished one more book.
Maybe l'll change it to Alexander the Great then.
Please do a tour of north Cornwall! Port isaac, Delabole, Tintagel and Boscastle are very interesting places. Love the videos Marek!
So, no CDWC gilets coming then?
Lovely walk. Congratulations on becoming a mountaineer!
I would love a green beanie!!
They've all sold out I am afraid cool dude.
great video keep it up
Thanks cool dude.
Good to see you tackiing some walks a bit further north. Sorry its so hilly up here!
To reveal I’m a few decades older, I’d bring back Otis Redding. He was just becoming more well known. That ambitious walk you accomplished would be something to be proud having done. Well done, cool dude. 👍
Oh, great minds eh?....that's the very same person I was just about to write in the comments!!...then I saw this & thought ''I'm going to write it anyway!!. Brilliant singer. Loved him. Timeless.
@@judybeeA rich, strong, and unique voice. I distinctly remember where I was when I heard he’d died…the high school parking lot, just as school was letting out on a Monday afternoon, and someone had their car radio playing. I suppose, too, because it was the first musical performer that I was a fan of who passed away.
A good shout cool dude.
Wow, that climb looks intense! 😅 And those views - absolutely breathtaking! 🙌⛰ I'm definitely adding this walk to my list. It would be fun to try to find that tiny house too! 🔎🏠 Thanks for sharing this adventure! can't wait to see more of your walks. 👍
Nice one dude. It is definitely a walk worth doing.
Marek, so far from home, a very nice 16:48 to see you breaking out and taking on that challenge. Keep on walking, and making art. Having to work would be so dull.
Thanks cool dude, and thanks for all the cool photos.
Nice one cool dude. That was an epic walk. I love North Wales, I'm heading there next weekend
Have a good trip cool dude. I thought it was fantastic.
Great music should play it more and more
wow Marek, amazing video. We've just finished creating the new interpretation panels for the castle and castle walls, so we'll hopefully be going ourselves soon to see them. Lovely place!
Fantastic.
Maybe if you ate the sprouts before climbing the hill it might give you some wind power to get to the top 😄
Great video as always Cool Dude
Love north Wales my niece is at uni in Bangor, maybe I’ll buy her your magnificent painting. Thanks cool dude!
I once did a gig in Bangor and died on my arse.
I wish I could like videos multiple times. This one was top Marek, nice one 👍
The Welsh hills and valleys are spectacular.
I'd like to bring back Bill Hicks. I wonder what his take would be on the world today?
Even more angry than in the 90s I expect.
Thanks Marek for those stunning views. I terrified myself once on Half Dome in Yosemite when someone dropped a water bottle and thought I could just as easily fall off the mountain. Glad you didn't bottle it. I would've saved Anne Frank's life if I could have. Socks and sandals are totally uncool.
After this walk I came home and googled people falling off mountains. It didn't help my fear of heights.
Awesome walk apart from steep parts, just loved the stunning views! I would be rubbish at the hill climbs, need a couple of huskies to pull me up the hills. I would save River Phoenix as he was only 23 and had suffered lot of trauma, starring in 80s movies such as Stand by me and Running on
Empty.
I agree with River Phoenix. He was charming and brilliant.
Lush - used to live there and heading back in a few weeks so you've inspired me to finally go up the mountain which I always avoided when I lived there as I was young and stupid but those views are stunning.
Congrats on the 10K subs, Marek. 😊
Not ashamed to say I love roasted Brussel sprouts covered in olive oil, slithered almond and pine nuts. Yum!😋
Ugggghhhh
@@cdwc 😆😆😆 Have you had them roaster? Totally different taste to boiled or steamed. It’s like comparing chips with mashed potato.
I bet you stayed at our favourite place in Deganwy, I'm expecting a Blue Plaque next time, we missed you by about a week! Love the area and the walks, nice film Marek.
It was a place called the Old Post Office.
@@cdwcAhh I bet wrong, the Laundry Room is our go-to. We take the dog but he's not up to hikes at his age. Laura and me will be doing the mountain for sure.
Brilliant video and stunning views. Don't stay off the Island for too long though, I'm really out of my comfort zone!
loved the Vid keep it up
Such a beautiful walk, very picturesque!
It was stunning cool dude.
Magnifique!
Great walk cool dude thanks for braving the steep bits! I discovered a fear of heights after I'd already got to the bottom of a very steep (and 80m high) a cliff path down to a beach in Sark, and very nearly couldn't get back up the steps to the top- my legs were shaking so much! (Why is climbing up so much scarier than going down!?)
If I had the power I think I'd choose to save Kristian Digby who presented To Buy or Not To Buy- one of the greatest day time TV shows about houses (a close 2nd being Homes under the Hammer). He was an excellent presenter, plus he just seemed like such a lovely human.
My fear of steep drops has got a lot worse lately. I think it is maybe to do with my balance getting worse as I get older. Soon I'll just be doing flat walks.
@@cdwc I think fear of heights increases with age due to the ever increasing awareness of our own mortality...😉
Hey Marek. 😃👍 Great video. Wales is truly beautiful. Glad you're giving it a go, you'll find hundreds of walks in Wales. The Mawddach Trail is especially nice, & 'Panorama Walk' in Barmouth is stunning. I think Buddy Holly is a good call, but as a big Beatle fan I'd have to say John Lennon. Also, be great if Elvis was still with us. So many amazing stories. 👍😃 But what about people like Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking or Nelson Mandela? All worthy of a second shot at life. I don't know how you put up with that Sunglasses Marek. He's so rude, does he follow you everywhere? Keep up the great videos mate. 😃👍
Einstein, Mandela and Hawking all lived until they were quite old cool dude. It was for those who robbed of life early and never got the chance to fulfill their potential.
@@cdwc Ah, sorry, see what you're saying now. Those who died young.
there's only one famous person I'd save, because I miss him so much (superman as I am) Rik Mayall
Yes he was supremely charismatic.
You should've taken Rowan on this one Marek! She would've saved you from falling off the mountain, but never fear, Sunglasses Marek is always around for support to keep you company Great adventure in Wales & not a drop of rain fell. Wow, amazing. Tidy. White socks with sandals & shorts...No. Never. And Bring Back Otis Redding....thought I would be the 1st with this suggestion...but someone else in the comments beat me to it!! Loving Artist Marekemoji x J x
I did not realise Otis Redding was so young when he died.
I think Conwy is said as Con wee but I am Isle of Wight born and bred so don’t take my word for it. We were going to be staying near Conwy in a lovely holiday cottage in 2020 but the pandemic happened, I was gutted as I had booked for us to go on the snowdonian mountain railway. The item of clothing I hate is those ridiculous long puffs coats, people look like they are wearing a sleeping bag 😂
Oh yes the new trendy bathing coats, they are everywhere. (I knew I pronounced Conwy incorrectly)
Those views were absolutely beautiful, wow you got some great footage! 📸
Worst piece of clothing? For me, it would have to be those cold shoulder tops, I just think they dont make sense.
Person who died too young, it's already been said but definitely Rik Mayall. Still feel his passing was way too soon. I loved his naughtiness!
I am going to buy myself a Cold Shoulder top for my next walk.
Wearing a gilet whilst watching your very cool Conway walk 😂. Agree on Buddy Holly. I would have saved John Lennon. Imagine, 🤔 Glastonbury, Pyramid Stage & Legend slot with him & Buddy jamming together.😎🎸 I hope you explored Anglesey while you were there. 👍🏻
That would have been a good gig.
I see your gilet and raise you jumpers with buttons on one shoulder
Ha.
I'd bring back Emily Brontë. 30 is too young to die and she only managed to write one book. But it was a goody. Imagine what she could have written if she lived to 80 or something?
This is a good call. Nice to see some authors picked out.
Freddie Mercury for me 💚
Lots of Freddie fans on here cool dude.
Great walk and view from the top! I share your fear of heights so completely empathised when you were on the steep path. When I get breathless on a climb like that, I can't tell whether it's from just needing to be fitter or from sheer terror at the height! Answer to.your question who I'd want to bring back for more years of life: Rio Mayall, Douglas Adams and Charles Dickens. Talents gone from us too soon. Excellent choice for the new emoji!
Good choices to save cool dude. I am still having nightmares about that steep path.
That would take me a while to recover from too!!!
Sounds similar to when I went up Snowdon there was a guy talking all the way up I felt sorry for his friend, I could hear when I was about 800 metres or more away.
Maybe it was the same bloke.
My wife stormed ahead of loud talkers on the way down Slieve Donard in Norn Irn a couple of years ago. She then tripped and fell on her head, concussing herself and badly injuring her neck and arm. Your tactic was MUCH better. I'll pass it on to her.
Flares are disgusting 🤣
Ha. I don't mind them. Mainly because of Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
Hello Marek. 👋Yay! A new vid! This walk reminds me of when I used to walk up North hill in Minehead. When I was in my early 20s I did a season at the Butlins there. While I was there I walked up North hill a couple of times. Going up it was fine but getting down was absolutely terrifying. I never did find out if there was a less deathy route. There probably was.
Yes, I hate gilets too. The ones that particular wind me up are the ones that go down to the ankles. What is the point??!
I don't think I could get down a hill without trekking poles anymore. Ha.
@@cdwc Ha! Me neither with my ridiculous knees.
I always have zombie apocalypse dreams 😢 My people although not famous would be my mum and Grandad as they never met my youngest two kids but famous person would have to be Freddie Mercury ❤
I don't know if the zombie apocalypse or school with no pants and trousers is worse.
Congrats on over 500 paying punters, Cool Dude. 🍾 Don't become a mountaineer, though, because you know what Brian Blessed said about them on RHLSTP... RHLSTP!
I'd bring back Les Dawson (well, he did die quite young), so he could teach me the piano...
Thanks cool dude. Les Dawson was 62!
Lovely. I spent a Christmas in Conwy and is it’s one I remember fondly. Well done on that mountain. I would bring back Jimi Hendrix. He had a lot more to give music in the 70s and it would have been interesting to see what he’d have done next. Contrary to popular belief I think he was probably bumped off by his crazy jealous girlfriend rather than drugs. She died in the 90s so I guess we’ll never know.
Conwy is absolutely stunning.
Great video cool dude!:)
Thanks cool dude.
I like pigeons!
No offensive comments please.
I used to be ok with heights but after the skydive I did it's been quite often I've found myself up a hill or watching drone footage on a documentary and had to look away .
I think I might have a heart attack on a skydive.
Thanks
Thanks cool dude very kind.
Nice one, if a bit hard going.
Of course.....it's the home, or was, of Drew Pritchard.....Salvage Hunters TV Program. 😁
I did not watch that but someone else said that to me today.
Enjoyed the video, as ever, but absolutely didn't appreciate my name being used in association with mountain loudmouths
It was a different Cleo I promise.
Plus fours.
Beautiful walk. I can tolerate a gilet. I do abhor baseball caps, especially indoors, but here in the states they are all too ubiquitous. Even worse when worn backwards. Make it stop…
It is because of all the bald men like me needing to protect the backs of their necks from the sun.
I thought that’s what this was for? Whatever, you have my permission to wear one, as you are the original cool dude.
Marek master of the ironic, possibly sarcastic, use of the Ode to Joy. In saving Buddy Holly are you also saving Ritchie Valens, who was on the same flight and was only 17? I'd definitely be saving Buddy if it means the flight making it and saving Ritchie too
You are right. A double save. (Plus the Big Bopper).
I really enjoy hearing about people's dreams actually!
Thinking about planning a trip to Wales in August or September, hoping for warm weather that isn't too hot
You should definitely go. It is beautiful.
You escaped the ! That looks like a proper castle, no disappointing ruins in Conwy.
Agree brussel sprouts are awful. I don't know why they're even grown as you can buy 100 of them for about 30p. Who's making money off of that?
You should take some in your next packed lunch
🤢 I think the walk would likely end at the next toilet I would pass.@@cdwc
What brings you to lovely North Wales Marek? i'd bring back Nick Drake, 3 albums of his music simply wasn't enough.
A walking holiday. Nick Drake was great. It is so sad his fame all came posthumously.
I have the same terrifying Steepness nightmares and I blame seeing Titanic aged 10, when they’re all tumbling down the vertical ship
We must share the same anxieties cool dude.
i'd save Jeff Buckley, died way too soon. also, i think the mountain you thought was Snowdon was Carnedd Llewelyn, you should be able to see the summit of Snowdon (behind Llewelyn) from where you were on a clear day but the cloud was likely hiding it from you in that shot. also, there's a really cool stone circle up behind Penmaenmawr and loads of standing stones and ancient monuments on the other side of Tal Y Fan from where you were. really pretty desolate place, if you ignore all the pylons ;p
I'd bring back River Phoenix - I'd like to see the sort of work he would have continued to make, also, he could finally fulfill his heart's desire which I imagine was to fall in love with me.
Yes. Joaquin Phoenix is one of my favourite actors and I'm sure River Phoenix would have been equally brilliant.
I still dislike leg warmers, though you could use them as arm warmers and pair with the useless gilet 😊
Jen on the Moves latest video is on the North Wales main line with quite a lot of footage around Conwy ruclips.net/video/GLUulAYRsls/видео.htmlsi=eYyIRFOAtYkAAdvn I've linked Jen's video here and Marek's video on her comments - hoping you both get a little extra traffic
Nice one cool dude
Wait, I was told my whole life that I needed to eat Brussel sprouts to have the strength to do such things as climb mountains, and you’re telling me it’s possible without? I’d bring back Anthony Bourdain. Not young, but too early.
Exactly. No need for sprouts.
Grey jogging bottoms. It’s a look that says I can’t be bothered and I have no self respect.
Agreed. Track suit bottoms should not be worn in public unless you are engaged in exercise. I think they are gross.
I'd bring back the Queen
She doesn't want to come back.
QotD - Princess Diana or Robin Williams
The People's Princess!
Nice one CD although you should have painted all of those pigeons. My Christmas Brussel Sprout avoidance scam was slightly more advanced than yours; 1) Put Sprout in mouth 2) Pick up napkin and pretend to blow nose but spit Sprout into napkin 3) Dispose of napkin and all evidence
Good tactics cool dude. When World War III comes they will ask you to be a commander in the army.
Surely crocs are more disgusting than gilets.
I have a pair of rip off crocs to slip on when I take the bins out. (The cheap Aldi middle aisle ones)
Regarding the pants and trousers thing, I’m 55 and I still need to check I haven’t forgotten them during my working day.
I expect when you get over 80 is acceptable not to wear pants or trousers.
@@cdwc I hope so. Imagine the time you’d save each morning 😊
Jen - Steve Irwin
Mike - Tony Hancock
Good shouts. It always amazes me that Tony Hancock was only 44. In my head he was late 50's.
Fanny packs
They look terrible but I love my one.
This made me think of the 'lots of friendly people in your neighbourhood' song on Sesame Street.
@@cdwc i will agree they do appear very convenient
Lovely vid once more. I'd save Vincent Van Gogh. It's a tragedy that nobody pronounces his name correctly, but it's hard for most non-dutch speakers, and maybe if he'd been around longer we'd have got there.
And my apologies to any stiletto wearing lady hikers, but Stilettos, are the cruelest and most pointless clothing accessory ever invented.
Van Gogh is an excellent call. I have tried to do a couple of his paintings and it made me appreciate him much more.
It looks like someone had just used the front of the UK's smallest house as the UK's smallest toilet.
Thye probably can't fit a toilet in the UK's smallest house. At least it wasn't a
Spot Marek Q.found Marek ? Answer below.
Thank You Marek for this Smile on me Dial .
A. They are all Marek .
@@cdwc
I hate Brussel sprouts too
Saying John Lennon seems cliche but I truly would either pick him or Eric Carr who was the drummer for the band KISS in the 80s. Incredible drummer, big sweet heart, died from complications of open heart surgery. Truly believe he would have been the permanent drummer for the band had he not died. Truly a loss of a great and sweet person.
Buddy Holly is an excellent choice on your part. Not only revolutionized music, but his poor wife suffered so much and to have not lost him would have been a light in her life.
I also know Im in the minority here but I actually love hearing about peoples dreams. I have a similar reoccurring nightmare but instead of me nearly falling down it, Im trying to climb to this gateway that I know I need to get to or else Ill definitely die but the threat is an ambiguous nothing. Always wake up in a panic haha
I don't like them shoes with fingers.
Toe gloves.
We’d be living in a very different world if we could have given Nicola Tesla an extra decade or two…
Stay cool Marek 👍
He lasted until he was 86!
Granted, but I believe my comment still stands 😂
I would hide my veg in my M.A.S.K (mobile armored strike kommand)car and when the opportunity I would dispose. Ps nice walk
Excellent use of toys cool dude.
Hi im new sub , whats the camera on your coat 👍🏻
Sony a7cii cool dude
(You can bet that roof was awash with sh, I mean, rainwater)
In terms of musicians, it's a coin toss for me whether I'd save Freddie Mercury or Sammy Davis Jr, I would've loved to have seen either of them perform live.
Not so much disgusting, but I'm fascinated as to how so many people can walk around in Crocs and not wince. I tried on a pair with and without socks, and the grip underfoot made me feel like i was walking on a nail brush, curious things
I have a pair of rip off crocs I put on to put the bins out - they are middle aisle ALDI ones (£2.99)
I would bring back Michael Jackson.
I'd bring back Cher Ami.
I googled this, now I am furious.
