I have recently begun using the tank perk, and I have found it very useful. I am a mediocre player, and the little bit of extra staying power is very useful. Also, in public games for a less than amazing player, the downsides are not too bad. The low speed helps prevent me from overextending, and has helped me develop habits of sticking with team mates. I don't notice the turncap all that much, as I'm not amazing at drags and accelerations anyway. And I havent really had too many times were someone running away in light armor was a problem, as in pubs they usually re engage you, or you shouldn't chase them anyway because you would get isolated. Also tenacious helps with the health regen for less cost than blood lust. Again if you stick with team mates you can take a few hits, pull back, heal, and then get back into the fight. It may not be the best for pros or those who only like the most optimal load out, but for average schmucks like me it can be very useful.
And here I am playing a dwarf-tank Which is hilariously bad. You can tank 1 extra shot in full tier 3 armor. You move like a glacier, but you do get a slight damage boost from the tank perk off-setting the dwarf so you can 2 shot through medium armor with a war axe.
To me it feels like Dwarf should be the first "anti-perk", instead of taking away 3 points it would give you 3 more, so there's incentive past RP reasons to use it.

What I kind of wished from the Dwarf perk, is that if the Dwarf is wearing full T3, the damage reduction is reduced dramatically. If you wear a 3-3-2 setup, you still get the full 50% damage reduction etc. One dwarf weakness, is literally you cannot catch up to people running away from a swing-
I've had a surprising amount of success with Tank in duels as of late. It's probably because people dont expect you to take an extra hit or two, but I've managed to have surprising success with axe + round shield on Tank. The amazing speed of the axe, great defense of the shield and the natural damage reduction of the Tank (and it's slight range increase) has made the one handed axe one of my favorite weapons.
Something that you missed with the tank perk is the chase mechanic speed. Im pretty sure its a glitch but at the moment the when you have tank equipped the chase mechanic makes you faster than literally anything else in the game. You catch up almost instantly so it makes it very surprising for players that think they can do the cheese tactic turning and running from all attacks.
Maybe against a bad player but anyone who is even remotely competent can just stay out of your attack range because of how slow you are from combining the two.
IMO I think they should just make dwarf cost 6 points like tank and take normal damage. I mean your head gets hit so often, being short is not really an advantage. Also dwarf archer is even more of a death sentence. The extra damage from dwarf AND the huntsman perk is instant death lol
I currently alternate from dwarf to tank every other round in pvp as I enjoy how much it contrasts the height difference. As a dwarf I run firebomb with fire resistance perk and pick up a weapon like my tank does as I noticed fire protects dwarfs more then any armor can. @KingLouie111 Could you perchance do some dodge testing with tank/dwarf perks for us? I find shrug does incredibly well as dwarf and as tank my only viable dodge is to backpeddle 360. If you would like some help I'd be happy to oblige.
I tried dwarf/dodge and don't like it. If the opponent facehugs, you can't dodge far enough and if you manage to dodge you have troubles closing the gap again because you are slow. I'm not an expert dodge player though by any means.
I like dwarf when I want to be sneaky, sneaking into enemy bases, sneaking up on people, basically feel like chucky when I use dwarf. I like tank because it's cool to make a big ogre type of guy, had times when i was a tank with level 2 armor and I was walking around with 3 or 4 arrows I got shot by lol.
