    We have failed as people on the global table when we look at what God has given to us. The most brilliant people on planet earth are Nigerians, we don't need others to do for us what we can do better but because of greediness, our leaders turned blind eyes to the development of our country.
    Social Contract is the starting point, if we must move Nigeria forward. The people must follow and obey the rules on public infrastructure.
    You have said it all. But will they take a positive steps after this?

    The Biggest Problem in Nigeria is Judiciary. The day the judges stand up for truth and justice every other thing will follow. They know all what you’re saying ma but they will rather do the opposite.

    • @emekanwosu2987
      @emekanwosu2987 4 месяца назад

      The politicians captured the judiciary by installing their families and friends. How do you expect with that level of corruption the judiciary to work. Even in the 70s as a kid during military the judiciary was working to a 80% but the level of corruption now is high. Social contract will not work in Nigeria because 95% of politicians have dirty agenda

That's a big blow. I believe Belo Turji than those saying what he is saying is a lie. I challenge Matawalle to swear with ogun or Sango that he doesn't have hand in insecurity issues in Nigeria. There is no smoke without a fire 🔥 but the country is quiet over such very important information because of the bad people in government. Bad governance. Good job madam Okonjo Iweala. The idea of a wholistic social contract for Nigeria will be a step in the right direction. But are we(Nigeria/Nigerians) ready for this? The unity of the country will go a long way in helping out. We are too suspicious of one another. Would you blame anyone? It’s high time we forgave ourselves, come together and channel a sustainable direction for the country irrespective of our tribal/ ethnic and political affiliation. May God bless Nigeria.

    This woman truly is great and knows her craft.
    It's a basic foundation to protect development and economic gains made in Nigeria irrespective of what party/who is in power.
    Buhari took this country back several years from where GEJ left it, sacrificing economic growth for fight against corruption, and for what? Corruption and insecurity continued throughout his tenure and is still there whereas we eroded and lost the economic gains we made in the past.
    It's a shame!

    well said, Madam DG. we play politics with EVERYTHING. if we could be consistent with policies that work for ALL and not come with catchphrases ' Hope, Renewed Hope, Aligned HOPE, Change etc. But will we listen is the question? That mainly contributes to what we are seeing today. We as a people don't know what we really want as a COLLECTIVE. Thanks for telling the truth, you are an excellent role model and you know because you have worked for the government before and are talking from an insider's point of view.

    This is honest truth. My fear is the civil servant who has turned politicians and greed, rather than policy makers and executors. The government should make the civil service truly independent, trained, and obeyed civil service rules and law.
    Truly, the issue is respect for the rules and laws by all irrespective of status or gender.
