Except for the beginning, the end and a small part a few minutes in (edited out as I was fiddling about which various switches and I didn’t like the way it sounded), this was all in one take, so I guess I was in many moods that day!
I knew you had something cooking in the lab,...... i have my homework cut out for me this afternoon,..... to judge by the opening chords, this sounds like a return to the Max of old.......which I like......
This has a great lo-fi sound that works really well with the raw quality of the sound, as if recorded on tape, there are great chugging riffs throughout, I like parts around 20:00, and 31:00.
I was using a Les Paul and an Urban amplifier for this, so I will blame the lo-fi quality on the amplifier. I thought it would be funny to play a really high end instrument through a low budget amp.

It’s the mascot of my kid’s school. It’s the most uncharismatic display of school spirit I’ve ever seen, so I had to make an album based around it.
