First of all in India nobody has English as native language so most people who speaks English have native mother tongue and English as 2nd languages, and language carries culture civilization and history..... Here nationalist for European perspectives is nazi hitler extreme raccist faccist race- haters ..... But in India all like the word rastravadi ( not exactly but roughly means nationalist) but all political parties from every side call themselves nationalist from the day of independence movement and far beyond that.... So don't make assumptions from foreign press.... Because there are Pakistan sympathizers and Chinese sympathizers who hate current dispensation these people are not winning or their ideologues are not winning elections .... So they are demeaning modi and india from outside with the support of funds and ngo which are leftist and hate India rise......
To confirm this just check no. Of riots in India before modi 2014 and after 2014 modi..... By the way there were many muslim vs muslim riots shia vs sunni riots were common..... Just check no. , you will find after modu there is no riots.... Not 1.... Small scuffles will happen that is natural for 1.5 billion people with 2000$ per capita income.... Always remember there is no riots after modi on religious lines
But foreign media won't tell you that

An evasive snake oil salesman. A manic barrage of words that means little. If that is how the guy negotiates overseas, it will be only their diplomacy that prevents them from showing this Kiwi politician from being shown the door.

Such a harsh assessment of Trade Minister Todd McClay's interview is unwarranted and unfair. His responses may have been comprehensive and enthusiastic, but that's what's expected of a dedicated public servant. He's passionate about promoting New Zealand's interests globally, and his energy is refreshing. To liken him to a snake oil salesman is a cheap shot, and the claim that his negotiation style would get him shown the door is baseless. In fact, his ability to build relationships and articulate our country's position is a strength in international diplomacy. Let's support our representatives instead of tearing them down with unfounded criticism

So McClay doesn't expect China to weaponize trade?
Never mind that is China's core strategy, and has been practicing exactly that against virtually even country it trades with over the last 10 years. Todd is either clueless, or willingly blind. I would pick both.
