The Wanted line already has so many flankers that it’s getting confusing from a consumer/marketing point of view, imo. If they release an elixir version, it will increase the complexity even more. Imagine a regular customer trying to decide between the most wanted, most wanted parfum and wanted elixir.

Salty Swede here, in the store when sprayed other than the sweet cotten candy that hits you right away I couldnot help thinking of butternutsquach seeds or The Galia melon or its parents honey dew or cantaloupe seeds. Burnt fudge came a little later on. It is so special, but what do I know i am just an infant in the hobby.

I hate that the Lavandin Absolute they use in this smells only vaguely reminiscent of how lavender smells. My soap contains more lavender than this. But it's an okay scent nonetheless.
Most tropical/hot weather fragrances have notes that don’t last very long (citrus, for example). I know few fragrances that have beast performance and can be worn when the weather is very hot (and I think none of those fragrances can compete with long lasting winter fragrances).
It would be awesome if they found a way to make fresh notes last longer. Imagine L’Homme from YSL if it’s opening lasted multiple hours. It would be amazing.
While I don’t disagree brands should hold themselves to higher standards. I can’t agree with the price. Boss has never come across as an “expensive” brand to me. Yet they’re slapping on a 140$ price tag just because they named their scent “Elixir”. I’m not ecstatic about boss, but we’ll see.
@@ojshaw7671 They’re luxury, sure. My dad used to wear Boss when I was younger, they were still mostly Italian made back in the 90’s. Nowadays everything they sell is made in China. It’s sad how far they’ve fallen.
Hey Ash.....be on the lookout for the new Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir. Based on the 2023 release with added "uplifting fresh notes". I'm expecting a lot based on the elixir foundation.

Designers are using elixir to make Flankers that are unique or adds a niche level and i am loving this, when i hear elixir i think ooh this is going to have a hint of niche to it. And for the most part all the elixirs have had amazing performance of 10+ hours. Please guys if what it takes is "Elixir" for companies to take more risk i will take that. Again Elixir for me just means "Niche Designer" and i hope this becomes the new pattern. For me a new DNA should follow the following pattern eau de parfum (introducing a new DNA) , parfum (A longer lasting intense version of the same DNA) , Elixir (a niche version of the DNA).
People are just snobby and want something to complain about. imo every elixir is amazing and I would build a collection of just elixirs if I was starting out

Here is the thing. All the male reviewers said Boss Bottled Elixir was fantastic and women don’t like it at all. So, unfortunately I will wait to see what women say lol.
Boss Bottled Elixir was praised because it's very different from everything else that's out there as far as mainstream designers go. It's very unique, but it's not mass appealing at all. It's the type of scent you wear for yourself, because you probably won't get too many compliments. I like it personally, but it wouldn't surprise me if it got discontinued pretty quickly, because I can't see this being a big seller.
Man I'm disappointed in Ash. I bought Lattafa Masa based on his recommendation as the best clone of Ganymede. Cuba was right, it's not even close. You lost me man.
If the fragrance lasts longer im all for the "elixir" brands. Keep them coming.If Versace or Azzaro the most wanted makes a elixir im all in.

Gucci guilty elixir is an amazing performer and is an all season fragrance imo definitely give it a shot !
