  • Should You Let Your Compost Heat up and then cool down?
    The answer is yes.
When you heat up your compost it kills off weed seeds and any nasty bacteria.
The secret is to let it cool down and run compost worms through it.
These little guys will make it way more fertile and a way better compost.
You can then use it on more sensitive plants as well.

Doesn't it depend on whether you want a more Microbial or Fungal Dominant Compost Pile

How I do it, is to let the final pile cool down and allow the soil life move through the pile before harvesting. I have another video next week showing how I feed the cooler pile. Hopefully RUclips notifies you and you see that one when it's released.
