    Great to get free charcoal, I got three large bags full of compost, with pearl light and those clay balls in… two huge piles dumped in the woods. Thought it would be could to start seedlings in

      @BeFree-BeFrugal I personally would use it for established seedlings, not as a seed starter. I have two beds growing my giant celery full of that material, in comparison to some beds without the clay balls. Good luck.

      @BobMelsimpleliving. the compost we buy here now Bob is awful so making our own is key for a good harvest without spending too much money.

    Charcoal looks great Terry, a great ingredient for the compost. Worms have been turning my compost too. Im very proud of you Terry 😁💪👍👌🪱💕

      @sandram4526 my growing spaces are improving over time and seem to hold the moisture better now they are maturing.

    Hey Terry, the worms know where to get the good stuff 😉 I find the pile needs to be pretty moist to break down those horse nuggets. You're into next level microbe farming with all that charcoal!

    Best helpers a man could wish for and do so much good along the way. Well done to give the warning about Eggshell dust as it is a lung irritant.I am just glad we dont have smell o vision. Great video as always, best wishes Mike.

      @sowgroweat6987 added some fish poo to my Perennial wheelie bin, where I have put my old strawberry plants, that should help with the rotting process. Have you any thoughts about Rhubarb leaves in a worm bin, been told they don't like them?

    Brilliant vidio Terry, we are both doing similar with the worms & composting. Love the way you are now making biochar with the carbon from the filters. I also add the biochar into my wormery's now.

      @rolandtaylor8283 learning so much from RUclips and hopefully I will spot some more filters in the future, haven't seen any compost for 10 months now.

      @RobinGardens I would never be able to turn that bin myself, it takes all my time to empty it........🤣, but what wonderful material to use around the allotments.

    To my mind you seem to know plenty Terry! What a rich concoction you have mixed up there! I am off to my new plot today, just for an hour, to see what I will have to play with over the coming years and where might be the best places for a shed and a compost bin area😊. I hope Mrs K is alright ❤

      @izzywizzy2361 it's nice just to have a Potter, but getting the set up right first time is key to saving time in years to come....I am still changing my plots around.......🤣🤦. Update on Mrs K end of next week.

    the dust produced from your ground egg shells reminds me how bad the dust is from using perlite. a good reason to have a face mask handy..................brian

      @briansgardenandpolytunnel8172 only ever bought one small bag of perlite, but yes I have seen others using it and creating a lot of dust.

    OMG Terry your wealth of knowledge is amazing and so inspiring to other gardeners. I’ve just been given a few small pallet collar beds for my new(ish) allotment and I’m in a panic wondering how to make them up. I want them neat and quite high like yours as I’ve got a bad back and struggle to bend but working out how/where to situate them is a challenge but a nice one to have I suppose. Hope your wife is doing ok.

    Well Terry, those unscrupulous cann abis growers will be paying you top dollar for that compost and liquid gold instead of coco coir stuff. Their customers will be sayin' dang, aint that some s☆it!!! Lol. 🤣🌱🌱🌱😎🪴 Excellent wizardry going on there 👍🪱🪱 In fact, they'll skip the cann abis and start smokin' your blend roar 🤣

    I use a lot of coffee grounds too on my four cubic metre compost bins but always try to avoid the worms when I can.
    I dint think that they would like its texture. Are they not bothered by it?

    you can't put the urine straight on your compost bin if you've had a skin full the night before, terry. the worms would bepissed. lol..............brian
