Steve's out here getting ready to be the Gary Fisher of modern hardtails, I think! He has his own signature bike, and is starting to get input into companies' designs.
@@halnogaies1256shut up and stop taking my money🤣 I am going full hardtail only because my rides don’t happen like they use to and I want fun playful days. I own the commencal meta ohlins and now a paradox. Time to sell my full suspension
Looks sweet. I built up a Paradox over winter, and my full sus has been gathering dust ever since. I love love it, and I’m guessing that this would be a fantastic little brother to the 29er!
I'm old school as old school gets. I still ride a 26 and just love it cause how it rides compared to a 29er. I would go for a 27.5 for my next bike but I do like how the newer 29ers ride these days.
The BPV3 does rail. I rode it today and yesterday. About a 100 rides total on 'er. 42 y.o. and faster than ever! Inspiration thanks to this channel, of course.
Steve, if you are looking for future video ideas, could you discuss tire pressures for hardtails and maybe some tips about how to dial in? My bike is a totally different beast from 20 to 25 psi, and matching front/back is touchy too.
I would enjoy seeing that video too! In the meantime, if you search for "SRAM tire pressure calculator" that will help guide you to a decent starting point.
I am so very happy you just said these are some of my favorite wheels. The Atomik carbon with Berds. I have to find just a few more parts before I can finally get mine on my bike but they do look and feel like a quality wheelset.
Yeah the mrp has so many options I thought that was cool. Over 1000's of options and different colored lowers. Pretty much whatever u can dream up. But I'm going with the cane creek helm air this time. Bike looks sick!
This is a good looking bike, looking forward to your review. I dunno if you know, but WTB Vigilante and Ranger 2.6(in both diameter) measure out to 2.72 or so. Close to 2.8, which could be just as good as 2.8.
totally thought they were built in CAN but given the price, it totally makes sense that they are built over seas. I have no issue with that, just something new I learned. Chromag's built in CAN frames are rad but way out of my price range... though I might have considered it if their warranty period was better than 1 year, which I think is pretty crappy for a $1600+ hardtail frame..
Man, that bike looks tremendously cool. The Enigma doesn’t really fit my use case at the moment (as I’m already in love with my Paradox)….but it’s such a great looking bike I kinda want one anyway! Really looking forward to the ride review!
Great looking bike and love those wheels. What companies are making 35-40 iw carbon rims these days that you like? I see you have enves on your maniac... I want a dedicated plus tire wheelset for my Middlechild...
Do you know when they'll be available for purchase? Placed a deposit for a RSD Middlechild and is experiecing delays so hoping that this might be a good alternative.
27.5 ain't dead 29 ain't dead 26 ain't dead N+1 will never die.... I really wish people would stop implying any one of these is going to die off ... 🙆🏿🤦🏾
@@hardtailparty I'm shopping for 26 forks for my 26 dirt jumper. Fox, Rock Shox, Manitou and even Sountour all has 26 shocks. And that's not the new Pike DJ
@@chriswillis6747 right, dj forks are available, but MTB forks with 130-160mm travel are really lacking. It can be done but it's getting harder and harder.
It's not suspension, just a big of flex built in. I haven't heard of any of these cracking yet. I put a LOT of miles on my paradox with no issues. I suppose anything can break with enough torture and abuse, but I'm not worried about these breaking at all.
I haven’t seen it as an issue but aluminum has a relatively short fatigue life compared to steel or Carbon Fiber. For the price of Banshee Aluminum frames they better last.

Livin the dream
Yo! I'm down for that. We need another rider who knows what Mtbers want and need.

Great video suggestion. A lot will depend on terrain, riding style, rider weights rim width, tire casing, but it's definitely a lost art.

Can finally upgrade my kid to a decent hardtail to match my paradox since these come in a size small finally
i just noticed that your stand is painted. looks awesome !
That's a nice looking build! I'll be interested to see your ride review.
The Enigma will likely fire up the "27.5 bikes are dead" debate!! 😉
Beautiful bike! That hardtail is right up my alley.
This will be the frame i move my Meta build over too, this is gonna be baller.
Great looking frame. I’m torn between this or the RSD middle child

Where are you seeing 4 years? It says 1 year on their frame user guide page and the warranty page too.

That's soooo sick! it looks amazing 👏
Will you be trying it as a Mullet ? I want to buy one of these frames and run it in Mullet.. it would be great to hear what you think of it..
Looks awesome. I'd like to know how good those mrp forks are. Being able to customize the colors is sweet.
Hardtail dream bike
Can't help but wonder what it would be like as a mullet with a 130mm 29er fork?
You and me both. I think it'd be an EXCELLENT candidate for a mullet. Much better than the paradox.
Do it, get experimental!!
Still my favorite company

I think it would be an excellent mullet candidate for those who want to mullet a paradox but not have an insanely low bb
@@hardtailparty Hope you can test this one as a mullet!
What size is that frame? Im thinking of replacing my 2018 medium Chromag Wideangle. I'm pretty much the same size as you. Thanks.
Beautiful bike!

Their website says it can be fitted with 140-160 fork? I like this frame a lot but only have a 140..
thats beautiful, perfect geo for me! This or a liteville is going to be my next bike. Any chance you could get a liteville h-3 mk3 in?
I've tried but no luck. Perhaps if enough of my viewers politely contact them and request one for review...
You'll get a longer dropper than that in there once you've chopped the seat tube down..... 😉
Like it. Looking forward to the ride vid
I almost chipped the gusset off my paradox, but the curve in the seat tube was the limiting factor.
You mentioned the internal routing on the chainstay, is it the same on the other side for the rear brake?
No, thank goodness. You can see it in the shots at the end of the video.
if you were to build a retro mtb, which one would it be? it would be nice to see you building one
See my $300 bike challenge series.
MRP moved down the road to Fruita? When? Coulda sworn they were in grand junction.

Was hoping you would take for a ride in the geo-meter.
I actually filmed this before the geo meter existed. Announcement date was delayed over and over again, so I'm excited to finally announce it.
Are these available to order & do you know how much they would cost? Thanks for the great video as usual!
MSRP - $1099 USD / $1449 CAN. You will need find a Banshee dealer near you or a shop that sells them online.

They should be available to purchase asap, but I can't speak to delivery dates. You'll want to reach out to your nearest banshee dealer for details.
Depends on where you are located? If you're in North America they are in stock and ready to ship to your dealer now!

I wonder if I should trade my Chromag Wideangle for this!? 27.5 x 2.5 with a 150 Pike....it's a ripper 😬
