For those that never watched It: the man being attacked (Jack from Lost) is the real father of the Girl and the guy with the gun is the adoptive father. The adoptive father wanted to let him die because he still angry that "Jack" didnt take care of the girl and he considers himself the real father.
It was also because of him that his wife(the girl's mom) died
Yet also teaches the daughter u can be an asshole to people 😂😂😂 the girl will know her father is dead and the adoptive father is clearly a monster himself

If you look at the man’s face, there was hatred in him not for the zombie but the man he once called was on the ground being pinned down, the shooter knew that if his once friend is dead, his daughter won’t die just like his wife and he was willing to get his friend killed that his friend failed to save his wife, don’t let past grudges get the best out of you.

He isn't the father. The real father is pinned on the ground. The fucker with the gun is the husband's best friend who slept with the husband's wife early on in the film and got mad at the husband when his wife died because he was separated for awhile from her when they were out scavenging after finding out she cheated with his best friend.
The best friend got angry with the husband and proceeds to take the husband's still young daughter. He still held a grudge years later as seen in the film. The daughter doesn't know that the man on the ground is her real father, and the fucker of a best friend will probably get another woman to bang since there was a new female adult at the end of the film.
This movie was fucked up.
