Hi, unfortunately there are no kitchen in the dormitories. There is a small convenience store in every dorm where you can buy ramen and snacks. Usually people just order food as it’s so convenient. There are many restaurants outside the campus but nearby. I often went there as it’s quite cheap to eat outside. Or I went to the North Cafeteria on the campus that is open until 7pm.
Heyyy ❤ thanks a lot for making such an informative video. Do you know by chance if one can request to share a room with someone specific, like a friend? Or I just have to wait to be sorted with someone random?
Hi, thank you for watching!💗 You can of course try to send an email but I don’t know anyone who has successfully done so. Based on what I’ve seen they tend to try to group students by nationality :)
Hey there. May I know what type of battery is needed for the closet lock? 😁 Have you tried walking from your hostel to the E8 area? I wonder how many minutes it will take to walk from the west dormitory to the east faculty buildings like those on E8 area.
I didn’t use the wardrobe lock so I’m not 100% sure. I think it was either AA or AAA battery. If I remember correctly you need 4 of them. I think you can find those at the dormitory convenience store :) From my dormitory W6 to the library (E9) it takes approximately 12 minutes depending on your walking pace. To E8 it might be closer to 18 minutes😄
@AadaAndHeikki Thank you for the information. Actually, I will have to walk from W4 to E6. I can do an estimation based on your experience now. Going to be an exercise for me everyday later 😅

Yes, there are two campuses. I studied at Daejeon campus so I don't know anything about Seoul campus. I was an exchange student there for one semester.

Hi ! Do we have to buy our own laundry detergent when using the washing machine ? I don’t want to buy a huge bottle which is gonna take so much space in my luggage :’(
Hi! Yes you need to buy one but you can find 1kg package from the small convenience store at the dorm. I didn’t use the washing machine that much and I had left 1/4 of the package. If you have some left in the end of the exchange you can leave it on a table in the hallway where people can freely take stuff.
Can u tell us how much to get a room alone there? Can an undergraduate student get it? Im thinking about applying to kaist but i have 3.5 gpa..is it fine?
As an exchange student it can be possible if nobody is assigned to double room with you. I’m not sure about the single room without special requirements. The rent for the dorm varies but as an undergraduate student you’ll most likely live in Dasom hall. The rent for double room will be around 343€/$370 - 414€/$447 for 4 months or single room 1079€/$1164 for 6 months.😄 I think 3.5 gpa will be fine since the threshold is 3.0 gpa☺️

We are glad you like it! The double-room dorms are exactly the same in Yeoul hall but without a shower and a toilet.
