Hey, great video and very useful! Quick question why exactly did you guys get demonitized because it sounds like fair use. Was it because you did add original voiceover or because you used someone else’s clip?

Good question, it was fair use according to YT policies and we also appealed, but they just simply declined and replied it doesn't follow youtube policies. But, we still saw many channels being monetized doing exactly what we did, so YT acts weird sometimes

I checked the channel and I can tell you the reason. It's because of the voiceover. They copy and pasted interview voiceovers and put some stock footage in the background. RUclips always encourages you to put your own voiceover and that saved many people from getting demonized. Those video had lack of creativity and lazy editings. You cannot just pick up someone's interview and extract their voice and use it throughout the video as is. That doesn't add any value cause people could watch the original content and will get the same value. At the same time you're generating revenue with their content and for that reason their earning gets divided between you and them when they're the only one who should get benefited by the AdSense revenue.
You can highlight some of their quotes and comments but at the same time you should explain that with your own voiceover and educate people in your way by giving example of those celeb/public figure.
I figured out the whole concept of copyright and reused content cause I have done a massive research on this topic. That's because I wanna start my own automation channel but I just don't wanna jump in and waste my time and money on something that would probably get demonetized. Raz started and continued this channel cause he himself had no idea of copyright/reused policy at that moment. So if you wanna start a channel do your research. Don't just rely on youtube gurus. They're not any different than you.

@@tanushreex While I agree with few things you mentioned, we still didn't break youtube policies, because we would cut the 1hr long video into best 10 mins, so it's concise info for the viewer and there are many channels doing this exact same time and are monetized on youtube (again without a voice over)
