You can use the RS3 Rec button wirelessly with the a7sIII; no USB cable connection necessary.
@@mediakobo would that run the battery out faster… assuming I have to turn the a7s3’s wifi on?
@@davidmorefield I haven't done any testing, but I haven't noticed any shortening of battery life when connected. I believe it uses Bluetooth, not Wifi, to connect, so there shouldn't much additional battery drain.
Good call on the travel set up. It'll make life much smoother.
Hey David, I noticed that the rec display was still set to the small view. Personally, I find it very useful to enable the Emphasized REC Display for this, especially when filming outdoors.

I only use lightweight tripods. I can hook my bag on if i need weight. You set up low with that lens next to the road... your gonna get some sick mini cooper panning shots man. Have fun! DONT FORGET A ON CAMERA LED to help brighten up car interiors.

Watch out with that SD card case. I had one of them and the pins holding both sides together fell out of the middle QUICKLY. Like a month in.

@@colemowery the heads are not interchangeable between my two tripods. But you can take the 75mm bowl head off the gh06 and switch to whatever you want.
