The Sony A9III is totally nuts. It's stunning how you can capture (flying) birds in so many different poses. Any the auto focus, unreal. It allows for spectacular photos. Just think of what is going to come in the future. Right now it's a 24MP Global shutter, 120 FPS. It can only get even better from here for future global shutter cameras. Thanks for the video, great insight in the A9III.
I love your work so much Olle, I started wildlife photography a year and a half ago because your videos are always so inspiring, and now I am fulfilled every day with this passion, so thank you very much !
Hi Olle! I’m a 13 year old bird photographer just starting to get more into it and running my RUclips channel! I really love watching your videos and all the photos are so amazing!
I admire your passion and excitement for birdphotography so much! Being so happy with 2 minutes of perfect light is so relatable.😂😍 Also, I love how your videos are getting more professional every time! It looks like your feeling much more comfortable speaking English in front of the camera, which is awesome!😃 You're definitely one of my favorite nature- and wildlife photographers out there!❤ I can't wait for your future videos.☺ Much love!❤
Thank you for your video! The section that helped me a lot was how you were able to “protect” a photo you wanted to keep and delete all others in a group. That helps in the sense of being able to do your edits in the camera and avoid transferring a massive number of photos to your computer for post processing. There is really nothing online that I could find that explains that. I just got the A9 III a couple of weeks ago and have been using it with a 300 GM and the Sony TCs ( 1.4 and 2.0) and have been so impressed! As you said, the AF is the best I’ve ever used! And having the ability to shoot at 120 fps in RAW is outstanding in getting shots that you were never able to before. I think for bird photographers who want to get that Osprey in a dive or an Eagle the moment it plucks a fish out of the lake are going to love this camera! For fast action of any kind this is a game changer. Looking forward to your overall review. This is a fantastic video for bird and wildlife photographers. Thank you for putting it up! 👍🏻
I`ve seen couple of reviews of the A9, and most people and wannbe photographers dont get the sheer power you can get out of this cam. And dont get me even started with video. Cheers Olle!
Love your Videos, they are always so nice and cosy to watch after a long day. I started photography because of your videos and still really enjoy seeing your reviews. Keep going and till your next video...
Last year I bought a used A9 Mk1. What I noticed in the first few days is that the camera is designed for speed. Focus mode, image sequence, exposure compensation via dial. Even with the Sony 200-600 you can capture swallows in flight. Even the focus speed at night is very fast. Comparable to my A6000 or A99 in daylight. There are compromises in the dynamic range with compressed raw. But less of a problem in daylight.
I got a used a9 to about a year and a half ago too, and I love it! 10 months ago I got the a7r5 and I love it too! In another year I want the a1!!! I can't afford the a9iii!!!😢
I love your videos so much. They are so relaxing, and to see the incredible shots you get always makes me smile. I'd love it if you would ever think about doing some informative guides for new photographers as I have no idea what shutter speed, ISO etc. I should be setting for photos. Thank you for your work Olle, very inspiring!
Thanks for sharing your experience. That at 2:09 , the a9 iii with the endless buffer plus the bright daylight usable display of the Z6 iii would be the ultimate bif camera.
Nice walk, great spot, crazy cam, good job. Thanks Olle! The a9 III is a beast, but in the end its your passion and joy, that makes the photo. Still, a great camera. Cheers, Peter
Great skill and great tool to accompany that incredible talent! Yes i wonder how you make that 200/600 work. Cause i trugle a lot with quality of that lens espesialy when u start pixel piping
Great video as always 👌🏾 #relaxing - a9iii seems really cool but omg.. the idea of ending up with 1000s of photos for one shoot is overwhelming. Demands at least some sorting during shoots.. but still really cool!!
Great video! I’m currently using the Sony A1, and I have to admit, sometimes the autofocus doesn’t satisfy me. I’m really looking forward to the performance of the A9M3. The biggest factor holding me back from buying it is the 24-megapixel resolution. If the birds I’m shooting are a bit far, I’m really worried about the photo quality.
I just love Sony. Just a few years ago when Sony had 10 or 20fps, the competition was already struggling... Look at this, 120fps AND WITH Sonys industry leading AF... raw etc. everything + pre capture :D Oh man, this is like God Mode in video games
Thanks to you I was able to buy the Sony 200 600 and I think that now with this review, what you have done, I am going to think very seriously about buying this camera❤
I remember a DSLR review only a couple of years ago, probably 2018 where a youtuber was reviewing the camera I ended up buying back in 2019 (Canon 800D/T7i) and the dude said something along the lines of: "This camera is also great for sports and wildlife photography as it shoots 6fps raw photos, an average older camera might shoot 3-4, and a pro camera like the 1Dx which is 8000$ might shoot 13 or even 14 shots per second (insert baller looking shot of the 1Dx), so this is definitely a great middle ground for people just starting out", it's amazing how nowadays 15 fps is very accessible with the likes of the canon r50 for just about the same price as the canon 800d just 4 years ago... and the top of the line is now a whopping 120fps + 1 sec pre-shot-raw... I didn't really watch camera body reviews since 2019 so I wasn't terribly aware of the major upgrades that even the mid-range cameras got (I just watched lens reviews from time to time as I was not and still aren't planning on upgrading my camera as it's just a hobby)... I watched a few reviews, along the lines of "Canon R3 (really f-ing expensive so I had to watch it), Canon R5 (8K was on the thumbnail lol), Canon R7 (cuz crop sensor with canon RF mount, but incredibly ugly kit lens though) and Canon R100 (which seems to be a really stupid and crippled camera)", so I really didn't know about all the fancy new features they got, I focused a lot more on physics, math and PCs, kinda forgot about camera technology which I was so interested in back in 2017 to 2019, I just started shooting for the fun of it and for the art, which is something I never thought I would say... dayum, now I wanna upgrade, not that I can, since everything costs an arm and a leg and I kinda need a laptop as I can't really bring my gaming PC full ATX tower with 2 28" monitors to university in another city, might just get a fourth used EF lens for the collection of cheap used glass or even canon FD if I'm feeling especially poor lol... I really want the eye detect AF though...
Good photos are about pointing a camera at the right place at the right time - and pressing the shutter. This camera is a significant step in reducing the friction between the photographer's vision and the final art. There's nothing inherently wrong with that - reducing the friction to producing "real" art will benefit everyone.
I really love this photo. At 14:48, I don't know why my tears suddenly fell. I am very happy. This is a very precious moment for me. Can I get a copy of that photo, sir?
If you haven't done the review video yet, can you cover how well the photos turn out with a big crop? Thinking of things like owls and such that are a long way off and small in the frame. My A7iv does good with a crop but has more megapixels. Very tempted with this camera.
hi bro! Your content and photos are seriously top-notch. You've got some serious talent and dedication shining through in every upload. You're definitely worth a million subscribers and more! Keep up the awesome work, looking forward to seeing more from you! 🚀📸👍
Just a tip, one of the buttons can give a rating to a photo so if you like a picture just give it a star and back in lightroom you can filter out all photos without a rating and delete them at once. Or quickly go through the photos in Lightroom while pressing a number on your keyboard to give it a rating if you like them and then filter unrated - delete. Saves an insane amount of time.
That is a great tip! I actually used that on my first A7ii but stopped using it for no reason. Should definitely get it into my workflow again. Thanks!
I think photography is not only about skill its also about composition and sometimes the best composition comes mainly from nature and the photographers job is just to give it a proper representation.
I dont think it's cheating, it's a tool thats out there for everyone! But I wonder where the fps is going to peak? like do you ever need more then 120 fps raw? Or do you even need that much? It's amazing what a camera can capture today!
Technology in these cameras is amazing, competition between cameras is good giving us great products to choose from!! sony needs to switch to cfexpress B for faster writing
Oh, this place is amazing! I was driving E4 like 50 times, and never thought we had such a gem on the way! @Olle: Do you have some recommendations for bird photography in Sweden? Of course talking about reservations, parks.
4400 photos!? Is the shutter count still kept at 500.000? Thanks again for a superb video. I am super jealous of your “in-motion” shots. Just stunning! 👌

I say this because I have configured the 1,2,3 selection for various shooting styles, with one method being for "birds in a tree" and another for "Birds in Flight". This allows me to change a single dial but change a lot of settings but a setting that I cannot change is the frame rate because that is only controlled by the dial. A bird in a tree I don't want to be shooting at 20 or 30 frames a second but birds in flight I don't want to be shooting at 5 or 10 frames so I end up having to change two dials, which can easily lead to missed shots. That dial is also a pain because say you were out shooting landscape and set the dial to timer, you can easily forget to set the dial back to something usable for wildlife.

Yes this camera is cheating, now hand it over, I’m going to have to confiscate and withhold it from you.
hahaa!
Sony entered the chat
the sound of the footsteps in the snow are so nice

The sound of that burst shots is simply WOW! Thanks for the video mate.
Sadly its fake audio. It shoots in electronic shutter.

Great video! Nice to see Tåkern in the winter 🙌

That’s awesome!!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Many RUclipsrs have reviewed this A93. But only this, and this one only that can”connect” properly with this A93. This is how people use the A93
I’ve been debating between a1 and a93 for a birding and this vid convinced me to get a93
You make incredible Videos maaan. They are so easy to enjoy and so well made. Thank you once again for sharing these with us.
Thank you so much! :) Appreciate the words!

Another AWESOME Video!! What a camera…AMAZING captures…
Another awesome video Olle, interested to hear if you filmed any super slowmo video
I can see this whole day. What a beast of a camera for wildlife

Such an awesome video Olle, as always!
Nice Video! The shutter speed on this camera is just incredible.
A wonderful video and superbly contextual review of a landmark camera!

I'm almost as envious of all the beautiful birds in one place as of the camera

Yet another amazing video. They’re always so calming after a stressful day. 😌 Absolutely great shots!
The camera is stunning, too btw. 😂
This is the point where we say goodbye to the mechanical shutters and big, bulky cameras. This is the future!
Great video Olle. I love the Pro caoture on my OM1 which I assume is pretty similar. Well done👍😃
Thanks to you I was able to buy the Sony 200 600 and I think that now with this review, what you have done, I am going to think very seriously about buying this camera❤
saw the first video of you...and im impressed because it seems totally honest what you saying...love it and subscribe ofc after this :) well done

Someone get this man this camera he deserves it
your passion and your works are incredible, I'm auto subscribe your channel cause you inspire me to start wild life photography.
Imagine lightning photography with this. 120fps bursts AND a precapture function. That would be incredible
Oh that is so true!!!
Really enjoy your videos while having dinner❤️

Snygg video! Man blir ju sugen på en A9III verkligen. Vad hade du för vloggingkamera om jag får fråga?
Amazing video as always Olle! Releasing my bird photography video at 12 :)
Great video!
Good job Olle. Can you remember how many batteries you used pls?…. Have you bought one yet?

Sony living in 3024 with Global Shutter. Now the imaginations even comes true earlier than expected ❤
can we take protrait photos with this lens? please make a video on it. please

Yes the mk1 will now become attainable to some!

Wait how did you put that cfexpress as a link in the comments?
Great Video! I think 120 fps is too much. I think 20-40 is sweet. Btw, you would love the Nikon Auto capture Feature. That feels like cheatings

Nice video 💗 i love photography and videography ❤
Man what the hell.. this camera is sick 😮
Great photos !, So this camera doesn't have any mechanical shutter ?
4400 photos!? Is the shutter count still kept at 500.000?
Thanks again for a superb video. I am super jealous of your “in-motion” shots. Just stunning! 👌
There is no mechanical shutter to wear out, the sensor is doing all the work.

The frame rate control dial on the A1 is my most hated feature of the camera, I wish it had the option to control the frame rate via menu selection.
