The Warmistress, Tanya, is back and this time she is commanding a beautifully painted and unique Ork army. Note however this was filmed before the release of the new Codex. Sigh.
She is met by T'au Nick and his Genestealer Cult. Not sure you can be "T'au" Nick if you aren't playing T'au but we let things slide here for Nick. His Genestealer Cult have a new pet named Spike and it will be interesting to see what they do with it.

For not knowing her codex that well, Tanya did an amazing job with her orks! Both of her games now have been incredibly exciting. Please bring her back! Also, on a side note, Tanya may have convinced my fiancee to start playing 40k. She wants to start Orks after seeing this game and her amazing paint job! Thanks Tanya!

My fiancee totally had a stereotypical idea of who plays warhammer (not sure what that says about me lol) but it totally changed her mind when she saw someone like her not only make a beautiful army but also play like a champ. She actually watched this whole video, then I showed her your Instagram and she was so impressed. Thank you for showing her that this hobby is for everyone! You rock!

@@the.warmistress You said you didn't know your codex very well, but I think you really nailed everything other than a mistake with the morkanaut's zappa, it can only deal a single mortal wound each time it shoots (unless that changed with the new codex I don't have yet).

If there was ever any question of Nick being a true sportsman, just remember that he Cheers when his opponent's vehicles blow up and only damage his units.
That may be in part because Nick loves him some explosions, it's adorkable

I just CAN'T get over how good JT's commentary is! It sounds so professional, and somehow makes the game much easier to follow

He could easily comment high level sports on TV, better than most high ranking commentators.

Congrats to Nick for winning with GSC, that's not an easy thing to do in 9th. Congrats to Tanya for her wonderfully painted orks and a fantastic match. Loved those Kommandos in barrels.

You guys should have an audio library of sound effects voiced by Nick and use that library for all the effects. 😆

What a close game. I will say this is my favorite channel for battle reports. 5% because its not 2+ hours long and 95% because of the commentary

Love seeing custom armies. I know Orks are supposed to look very ramshackle, but I love how clean some of them look. The Trukks are a great example. That industrial look feels good and looks great.
I like to imagine this is how all orks start out, then after 2 or so battles they look like the standard ramshackled models lmao.
Maybe they have been donated this tech by a mysterious benefactor

He's also the goat
Nick gets happier when his opponent does something amazing than when he does. I am all about that. His energy is amazing.
Even when he's hyperactive about something not going his way, it's more "I can't believe how badly this is going!" than "This sucks because I'm not winning!" Never a sore loser, that's good.
Both of Tanya’s matches on P.O.T.T. have come down to less than three points and I’ve been on the edge of my seat for both. She’s had a damn good run of matches.

Nick plays GSC and Tau arguably the weakest factions in the current meta and still gives an amazing battle, I love his Upbeat style of exaggerating actions and roleplaying his army
Nick is one of the best players I have seen. I wish I could play against him just to feel the energy!

its a lovely paint job on those orks. not often that you see a crisp ork paint job but it works and the color choice is superb.

Tanyas conversions are awesome. Her armies are a real inspiration to ork players everywhere.
I think they are actually 3D printed from Gear Gutz mekshops (they say it at the beginning of the video). However, the paint jobs she did were 👌👌👌

Honestly I've always loved the orc half of warhammer and I think after seeing how cool the orc fraction can be I might start collecting, thank you Tanya. Maybe I'll get the girlfriend into it too, she does love to paint.

This is the first '40K in 40 Minutes' I've watched and I just wanted to say how much fun it was to follow! Both armies looked amazing, both players seemed like they were having so much fun and the overall video quality and professionalism was top notch! I shall be watching many more!

I am always happy to see Genestealer Cults on the board. My first army that I started this January and I love watching my boys pop up from nowhere killing orks.
This is one of the best games I’ve seen from the channel yet. Nick and Spike really clutched the last couple turns.

I saw on the Warhammer40k subreddit when Nick posted Spike, that critter is sweet!!
I expected him to fight first with the glasscannon genestealers... and the rockgrinder before that of course.
Play on I have to say, after watching the 2nd and 3rd seasons I've been inspired to start looking into the rules, I've done a couple times but the energy and pure fun that you guys have makes me want to play this game, and while I can't afford an army right now (I'll have to start saving slowly) I CAN start up another dawn of war campaign, and Nick makes me wanna play the Tau so bad, so much fun and enjoyment from the lot of you, I hope you guys keep playing for years to come and keep showing people how fun these games can be

I could see that Ork army working pretty well with Bloodaxe's, particularly with a couple more Choppa bois mobs instead of shootas to get some charge, fall back,and charge action going on,and maybe a couple more Kommandos for flux(idk tho I'm very new to bigger games like this lol)

FOR THE CULT
I recently started looking into Genestealers (Which I wanna convert into Skaven) so this was a GREAT match! Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
A space Skaven cult would be awesome, go for it!!! I'd recommend using the Veer-myn range of models (non-GW) for cheaper conversions

Considering how much work Spike did, this wasn't an Orks vs. Genestealers match, this was an Orks vs. Tyranid (singular) match.

Also, sometimes the news are grim, pandemic, unemployement, terrorism. And then you see Nick succeed in Mind Controlling a Morkanaut (or was it a Gorkanaut ?) and things look much better :)
