    Great video! I have this done on my b9 s4 and The big difference is really on the outside/ behind the car. The insulation inside the car really does mitigate a lot of the change especially with the Acoustic glass, so windows down is the way to go for sure lol I think it's probably a 20-25% increase on the outside, but for a daily driver it's perfect in my opinion because i can cruise in comfort with the valves closed on a road trip or have the valves always open in dynamic (with 034 tune) and enjoy the extra noise. Really enjoyed this content, keep it up!

      Hey thank you so much! It was such a basic "mod", but I love watching behind the scenes stuff, so I figured since my exhaust guy will let me film, why not? And yeah I agree with you. Coming from a Golf R, which was def fairly refined but a lot more raw compared to the S4, I had different expectations. And I think you're spot on. Def makes a difference on the outside and a bit on the inside. I can't wait to get the 034 tune eventually. Appreciate you watching and the nice feedback!

      @@Emadifications oh absolutely, the tune makes such a difference with the exhaust because it actually makes the valves always open in dynamic. Stock they still fluctuate based on throttle input. I wanted a golf R for the longest time, such a great little rocket hatch!

  • @Goliath101
    @Goliath101 Год назад +2

    I'm likely going to do the same. Just want a little more noise (very different coming from an S14 to the S5) without the price of these aftermarket exhaust.
    I recommend cutting the side of the air intake for more induction noise versus an expensive intake that does bugger all. Drastic difference to induction noises. I also added a K&N filter at the same time, which may have added to some of the induction noise.

    • @Emadifications
      @Emadifications  Год назад +1

      Yeah this helps a Teeeeeny bit. Btw I do have the CTS intake. It sounds great but not like what it did on my Golf R. It had a grunt it added on the golf. On this, it mostly just added cool turbo noises. Better than nothing I guess. This car is interesting. Why are aftermarket exhaust so expensive?? Ha ha

      Quick update: with the windows down, dynamic mode is def about 20% louder. It actually sounds great.

    Did you ever do the Vibrant mid resonator? I'm looking at the vps front res delete kit and then replacing the mid res with a Streetpower from Vibrant

    • @Emadifications
      @Emadifications  Месяц назад

      Sadly I didn't. It's kind of an experiment honestly. Find a good exhaust shop and have them weld it in. If you don't like it, they'll weld the normal pipe back. That's what I was gonna do but I had issues with the car and sold it.

  • @siezethedays
    @siezethedays Месяц назад

    How come you didn’t go with a downpipe option? Or have you since posting this video?

      I sold this car over a year ago ha ha. I didn't go too deep into the car honestly. Dealt with warranty issues so didn't mod to that point.

      @ oh gotcha what did you get after? Yea I just bought it and did the resonator delete i feel it’s okay. A very far cry from the jdm exhaust modifications I’m used to :(

    • @Emadifications
      @Emadifications  Месяц назад +1

      @siezethedays oh yeah it's not the best but good enough for the cost. I ended up getting a Mercedes wagon. These cars def are sensitive to exhaust mods, not as forgiving as JDM cars. But man when you dial it in, they sound so good.

      @siezethedays Месяц назад

      @ oh nice that’s petty cool! And yea they definitely aren’t. I’m on the quest now to get a downpipe or an x-pipe for more sound 😅

  • @steven-sv8uc
    @steven-sv8uc Год назад

    i recently did 034's xpipe which i believe is what you said center resonator delete and yes there is a lot of unwanted drone. curious if you have any suggestions what i could do to reduce some of the drone lol you seem quite knowledgable about the car.

    • @Emadifications
      @Emadifications  Год назад +1

      I'm learning as I go and doing a lot of research. So my thought is one of two options: 1) put the stock resonator in the middle back on or 2) find an aftermarket resonators to replace it with. Vibrant makes some that are good at muffling certain frequencies. That's my next experiment ... Test out a couple well known resonators. 034 x-pipe is def loud from what I've heard.
      That resonator in the middle back is HUGE. So I imagine it's muffling a lot. So trying to find one that does a bit less than stock but not completely remove it is my goal. I'll update as I figure out. Otherwise, go back to stock in the middle and just do front two res delete like mine and maybe muffler delete. I actually am starting to love the sound in dynamic mode.

    • @LukaDaudt

      Hey man! Have you tried this? Replacing the mid resonator with something less restrictive? I know straight piping that section creates ear rape, so I'm totally looking for a middle ground. Let me know!! @@Emadifications

    Looking for the exact same thing on my b9 S5 since I dont want any drone or rasp. I wonder if a decatted downpipe would make it sound the way we want it?

    • @Emadifications
