There is no reason I should be looking at these but I want one.
They are pretty fun to check out! Maybe you could rent one for a weekend!
nuCamp RV - Teardrop Trailers & Truck Campers yeah your right maybe I will
Hidey Hole ha I feel the same way what’s the price on these
🤣😂 same
@@nucamprv I would love to rent one for the weekend
I like the change in the galley as the old stove top is fairly unusable except for small pots or making coffee. Omitting the electric fridge is a step back in my book - all that in favor of a microwave oven that you can only use on electric hookups (same as the AC).
For me: I bought the boondock edition to actually boondock. So I removed the microwave and AC and replaced the former with 2 custom matched drawers for extra storage and the later with shelves. I also installed a real heater that works out in the boonies: a propex gas furnace. I installed it under the trailer in a custom housing behind the axle so rocks etc. won't damage it and it's ducted into the wall right about where the heater is in this model. Works like a charm and sips gas - a week of yellowstone in winter takes about half a tank of propane when heated to around 70 degrees.
I added 2 extra solar panel ports (I do have the solar option) so I can plug in additional portable panels for parking in the shade. I replaced the battery with LiFePO4 batteries, which means I can run the fridge as well as the heater and even the TV pretty much indefinitely with a little sun every day. I actually do like the TV - I can sort through images and video footage more comfortably than using a tablet or phone - needless to say I added a little raspberry pi and a roku - both mounted hidden in the bulkhead - I can download/review footage and watch/stream movies should I have cell reception.
I'm thinking the next step is to replace the torsion axle with a timbren suspension - that should make it move a lot smoother over bumps. I wish the boondock edition had that standard.
Sounds like you've made some awesome modifications! We'll also pass along your feedback to our Design Team!
The 12v tv with a fire stick and a Hotspot and im good. I like the tv too.
I could add a full bathroom and a way to use the kitchen in the rain without getting wet. Try using a add tent or awning to extend the usage of the outside of the camper.
There are a number of great additions that you can add to the TAG to do exactly that!
Getting the boondock with those diamond plate fenders would look good behind my jeep with its diamond plate fender flares
That would look great!
I really wish Nucamp would have stuck to a Dometic Fridge/Chest or at least ran wiring for one.. my second beef is the battery box.. Need a larger option and third they need to have an option for a Multi Axis Hitch System which would help prevent theft! All in All I like the XL Tag! I just haven't broken down and bought one yet.. Maybe this year!
Thank you for your feedback!
I love it ! Small light and super cool inside!
We're glad you like it!
How much did it weigh
Really cool teardrop trailer. Great review too! Hope to get one in the near future.
We're glad you like it! Let us know if you ever have any questions!
Wow! Thank you, looking forward to getting one
You'll have to let us know what you think when you do get a TAG!
Just bought one. The only thing I wish it had is the electric frig. With a cooler, especially a Yeti, it will be heavy for me to dump out the water (melted ice). The mobility will be an issue. They are heavy when empty.
Teardrops are the coolest thing ever!
We're glad you like them!
Thank you for the very informative video. It's been difficult to figure out exactly which features are now standard and what has been changed from model year to model year, especially considering that that 2021 order form doesn't necessarily specify things like the microwave coming standard in the 5-wide.
We're glad you liked the video, Drew! Reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com. They'll walk you through all the features and answer all your questions!
Just ordered one, so excited!
That's so exciting! Welcome to the #nuCampFamily!
How much is this one?
Yes tell us the price
Can you buy me 1 please
I've had my T@G for a year now and love it. I would rather have a cooler than a fridge, one less thing to draw power. Have not seen a better camper for a better price.
We're so glad you're enjoying your TAG, Mark!
I love my norcold fridge.
Get 2 6v Batts and a 300 watt solar panel and you'll never have to shut it off
@@somemedic I do have solar, and at some point I will update to lithium, then I will think about the fridge.
The 110 volt heater, air conditioning and microwave oven actually makes sense due to the front cargo platform having a specific location for a 2k generator!
The nerf bars are a very practical and useful protector and step and quite nicely integrated.
For 4 season camping, insulating the water tank and pipes and installing a diesel hot air heater would be good DIY upgrades.
We agree! We've seen a number of our #nuCampFamily members insulate the water tank!
Liked the quiet a/c in one I saw at Austin rv show last year. What was size and brand of the a/c ? I think I was looking. At the base model? Not sure
You can reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com. They'll be happy to walk you through all the details and answer all your questions!
I like the Tag Boondock package but am placing a rooftop tent on the rack which would block the solar panels. Can I custom order a Tag Boondock w/o the solar panels (but still have a connection for portable solar)? What is the weight limit on the top rack?
Great questions! Feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com. They'll be happy to answer your questions!
Did you get rid of the Yakima awning and other led exterior lighting?
Those are all things that are added post production.
How do I get parts for my 2019 teardrop love to have a Catalog with parts for ordering ,,,,
There are a variety of different after market retailers for various products for your teardrop camper. You can always reach out to our Customer Service Team at customerservice@nucamprv.com if you need something specific!
Is this teardrop available in the UK ?
Unfortunately, it is not quite yet. However, we have worked with a few dealers to ship some to the UK for customers!
you got all the originals, copied and pasted, available in France...
I have a 2018 XL, the stove is a sore spot. New stove top is a winner.
Glad to hear you like the upgrade!
@@nucamprv
So if I brought my 2017 to the factory... could a fella get some upgrades?
Just about to order one but I’m curious. Montana boondocks are cold, even in the summer. Is there a way to have LP heat?
While we are always looking at ways to build units that best meet the needs of our customers, at this time we only have an option for electric heat in the TAG.
would love one with radiant floor heating, suspended toilet seat thats high enough to put a bucket under, a doggie door in the floor, solar package with a rain catch system and a wind turbine charging system wile in transit...mmmm what else....a composting system to have a worm farm for fishin with....oooo and a hand crank washing machine...
Some of our other models do have a couple of those features. Check them out: nucamprv.com/
That thing is so tight
We're glad you like the TAG!
Beautifully made as usual for this brand! Where does the AC vent to. It looks like it backs up to the galley, but I don’t see vents for sucking in cool air and exhausting the Hot air.
We're glad you like it, John! Great question. You can reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com and they'll walk you through how the AC works!
Sounds like you just pissed all over their NEW for 2021 model to me haha
It vents into a bulkhead between the galley and the cabin. It's about 4 inches wide and that's where the 2 silver vents on the side top go to. There's also a rather noisy computer fan (at least in my slightly older model) that allows you to force air through that bulkhead.
With Mobile Starlink, all you need is a laptop and good Bluetooth speakers. No other entertainment accessories are required.
I would want small 12V / 120V refrigerator, microwave, a collapsible / removable water tank mounted on the roof with an instant propane hot water heater, with an outdoor shower. A single bed that adjust to recline, a pop-top so I can stand up inside. Solar battery with inverter. No stove top, just a removable table for a portable camp stove works fine because I don't want the cooking smells near the camper. Maybe a pullout Propane hose reel. Some type of automatic fold out awning to cover the whole camper mounted on the roof.
Thank you for your feedback!
Do you step all over your mattress each time you get in? I did not see that it pushes back.
You are able to move the mattress, it all depends on how you want your TAG to be setup.
I could never live in that but I could definitely see myself using this for camping
That's the perfect way to use it!
Dear,
what are the dimensions inside of your trailler (length, height, width)?
Thank you for your interest! You can find the specification at nucamprv.com/tag-trailer/2022-nucamp-tag-specifications/
What is the height? I am looking for something that will fit in my standard garage.
You can find all the specifications for the TAG here: nucamprv.com/tag-trailer/nucamp-tag-specifications/.
what is the brand on that upgrade led amber light? I have been looking for a light like that for some time. Does it have an external switch?
It doesn't have an external switch. The switch is right inside the door. As for the brand, you can reach out to our Customer Service Team by messaging our Facebook Page or emailing help@nucamprv.com. They'll have the exact details for you!
@@nucamprv I got an answer it’s ITC.inc. Thanks.
Very nice
Thanks! We're glad you like the TAG!
That’s bigger than a modern flats bedroom in the U.K.
It's all about how you utilize the space!
Does the non-XL Tag come in a boondock version?
We do have a boondock edition for the normal-sized TAG!
I really want to put one of these on the back of my 97 f350 powerstroke for the fun of it
Sounds like a good time!
What's the coolest about this video is that this is the first one staring a powerful cyborg. That's right mismo constructed Kevin from the ground up and what most people don't realize is that Kevin is as strong as two dozen grown men! And that he can fly! Pretty awesome!y😇
Kevin is pretty great. We get why you would think he's a robot!
Dude has some guns.
Kevin is pretty fit!
Are they good to live in and does it have a toilet
Our smallest teardrop trailer does not have a toilet, however, our TAB Teardrop Campers do! You should join some of the Facebook Groups to learn from other's experiences!
wow that fisheye camera lens makes the inside of that trailer look enormous
We want to be sure to show the entire interior!
We have a 2018 T@G xl. It has a king size bed. We love it! ~ Maria
“Chass-is”😂
Can a RAV4 pull a XL? 1505 is 5 psd over the weight limit.
The TAG XL total gross dry weight is 1,388 lbs. It all depends on the towing ability of your car and what your car manufacturer recommends.
I definitely want one but I live in Australia, how can I get one please nüCamp?
We have shipped to other countries before! You can reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com. They're always happy to help!
Very cool trailer. Wish it had an aluminum chassis though.
We're glad you like it!
I want one 🥺
We hope you're able to get one someday!
Nice but the interior looks a little nice for a guy fishing out in the woods fir a long weekend. I think it would be cool if one of these manufacturers offered a more rustic looking interior (wood paneling ?).
Everyone does have their own personal preferences! Wood paneling does sound cool!
I’m very much a travel trailer/RV “rookie”, and I’m just now beginning to learn what I’m looking for and not looking for. Competition is so tight and it’s hard to make decisions on things. Anyway, my one rookie question here has to do with the heater. I think you said that it’s not 12V because it would create dead batteries in a short amount of time, and it’s not propane because of the style or something. Okay, then I must have missed it--what exactly powers the heater then? Thank you.
It means it must be hooked up to an electrical source (shore power or a generator).
vanessa brown Thank you, Vanessa! Now it makes sense! I feel like such a noob asking these dumb questions, but it’s the only way to learn. Thank you again.
@@andysmith6824 Andy, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. 😁 You wouldn't believe all the "dumb" questions I've had. Lol. Feel free to hit me up if you have any more. I'll do my best. I'm not an expert by any means, but had to learn quickly.
We're always happy to help answer questions as well! If you have any others, you can email customerservice@nucamprv.com and our team will be happy to help!
nuCamp RV - Teardrop Trailers & Truck Campers That is so great to know, both you and Vanessa! I am still quite overwhelmed by the terms, options, cost differences on two camping trailers that look identical to me, etc....One thing is for sure, there does not seem to be a lack of supply out there! I’m in the SF Bay Area and they are everywhere! I live extremely close to an El Monte RV rental place. They are absolutely gigantic, yet I have never seen one single ad in the 23 years I’ve been here. Not on TV, not on radio, no billboards, nothing in the paper--NOTHING. If I did not know they were there because I can see them from the freeway, I never would have known that I had an RV rental place 5 minutes from here. I went over there a few weeks ago just to look and find out what kind of shape their own, rental prices, etc. The first thing I asked the guy was, “Why don’t you advertise? I live here and barely even know you’re here!”. His response truly surprised me. He told me that they DO advertise--heavily--but not in the United States. He asked me if I ever see the El Monte bus shuttle on the freeway going back and forth to SFO. I told him yes, because my job takes me to SFO several times a day so I do see their shuttles running constantly (it’s a 1 hour drive--2 hours or more in commute traffic). The shuttles are there to pickup their European clients who come to America because where they live, you can’t rent RVs this large or as well equipped. He said the roads over there are also not the best for big RVs, so lots of people have compact travel trailers. They come here for two things: 1) The large RVs (they rent C and A), and 2) to see America. This is a very beautiful country, and I don’t want to inject politics but I have to say just one little thing that I hope nobody gets mad at. I hope our country remains beautiful, and that it remains the place that people leave their countries to come to--for the American Dream which can’t be done anywhere else the same way it’s done here. I’m an example of one. Came from nothing, and now I am comfortable and happy, but losing confidence in our ability to maintain greatness. I guess the reason I’m all worked up right now is because of a news item I read this morning that completely knocked my socks off. If you care to, do an internet search for breaking news in Aurora, Colorado Police Department. Date would be yesterday I think, Friday, July 10th, 2020. I can’t believe it was allowed to happen.
Anyway, thank you very much for the RV info! I hope to do something as soon as the pandemic is over and as soon as the riots/burning/looting/protests/murders/etc go away because right now we are losing. I’m ashamed to say it, but we are. The bad guys are winning, and no, I don’t mean the peaceful protestors. I mean the ones who do what I just mentioned--the felony crimes. I’ve seen interviews with business owners in Seattle whose little shops are in the rather large six-block square location of whatever they call it. Cops not allowed in, result: So far 2 murders, no witnesses of course even though everybody saw it. Have you seen this “compound” in pictures or videos? They have BLM members standing guard at each of the entrances with AR-15 assault rifles. They are protecting THEIR BORDER. Yet when the USA tries to protect its border for basically similar reasons that they are, we are called “racist” for wanting to protect a border. What is a border anyway? Well, its primary purpose is to designate whose land is whose. And yes, it changes hands over time with wars. The winner of the war gets the land. That’s how life works on this planet. Nobody will ever stop that. And nobody will ever stop evil. As long as there are humans, there will be evil. But a border is also where laws change. You can do some things on one side of the border, and you can’t do some other things on the other side. Each side has its own leaders. Its own currency. Its own imports/exports. Its own roads and freeway systems. I could go on and on. THAT is why we have borders. Without borders, there is no such thing as a country. It ceases to exist. And these people who want to have open borders and defund the police---they are on a different planet because they either can’t figure it out themselves, or nobody has taken the time to explain to them what it REALLY means. Personally, I say go for it with defunding the police where they want it-like Detroit, Chicago’s south side, Philadelphia, etc. Go for it. They will realize that when they call 911 and nobody comes, it’s what they asked for. I hope they do it. And I sincerely apologize if I’m disagreeing with anyone’s opinions here, but I think the silent majority’s time has come to speak up. We are an enormous group of Americans, but people are scared. If that’s the case with anyone reading this, that’s okay--we get it. But make sure you vote IN PERSON in November. You must vote. Without it, Vice President Michelle Obama will become President about one year after Biden is sworn in. He will retire himself due to personal reasons and medical issues. President M. Obama will appoint Valerie Jarrett as VP, and from there, the USA is done. None of them are smart enough or tough enough to go up against the dictators that this president has gone up against. And he has put up with being “bombed” seven days a week, 365 days a year since even before he announced that he was running for POTUS. I don’t like a lot about Trump, however, it doesn’t bother me because if you look on paper what he has done, first, he has done precisely what he said he would do when he was in the campaign. Second, he has an incredible business sense and world sense that nobody can match today (I’m talking about POTUS candidates). Anything you come up negative about him as far as his womanizing, lying, being into himself and having a large ego--yes, I agree. But what does it matter? Look at what he’s done, or as I always say, “The proof is in the pudding”. Thank you for allowing me to vent. And thank you for the answers to the RV question. If someone is really upset about this, just ask me to take it down and I will. Thanks.
I wish the sleeping areas were 80” as I’m 6.5’ tall and 6.5’ is too short for me. Need that extra length that others offer.
The TAG is our smallest teardrop camper!
There’s litterly this type of Trailer next to me rn
That's so cool!
Do you guys have any dealers in the UK ?
We don't have any dealers in the UK at the moment, but some North American dealers have shipped units abroad before. If you're interested, you can contact a dealer here: nucamprv.com/contact-a-dealer.
Really don’t understand teardrop sources? I see “Little Guy T@G,” “ Nucamp T@G/T@B, etc. Are there two different manufacturers? Is “Little Guys” a separate company in CA?
Little Guy is a separate company that we used to work with to distribute the TAG and TAB. Now, we're our own company handling everything from design to production to distribution!
kevin looks like he built the camper by himself with how stacked he looks
He certainly knows our units inside and out!
The galley. Just looks like one great back ache to me. How is one to utilize the stove and sink with that 1 foot floor in the way? Impractical. Better off with a tent and a Coleman propane stove.
You can reach everything by simply standing straight!
🤣 you don’t stand on the ledge
How do u cook when raining
You can use the rear hatch as cover if you do need to cook while it's raining, but hopefully you won't need to do that!
How much ?? Me and my husband have been looking into smaller camping trailers so we don’t have to buy a huge truck

110 volt heater pretty much negates the Boondocking aspect don’t cha think?
It's all up to how you like to adventure!
That's not a real answer. Why not a real enclosed tongue box with a smaller diesel heater?
somemedic lol...tough crowd!
@@goodbonezz1289 in all fairness to NuCamp I do own this camper and its a great start. I have a good sleeping bag but momma ain't coming camping if shes too hot or cold. Diesel heater or a propane heat option gives the camper a longer camp season. I can camp in the northern states earlier in the year or later in the year and theres less people during those months.
The folks at NuCamp should look at this option along with an on demand water heater in a pelican case for hot water. My rig has a faucet and a shower buuuut no hot water heater. That needs to be remedied.
I agree with Tracy Griffin’s comment. I have wanted to buy the T@G boondock for about 3 years now but have been hoping they would include a propane furnace for winter camping (boondocking at ski resorts). I’m still shopping for a camper less than 1600lbs with a good propane furnace. I almost bought the Aliner Titanium 10 but was worried about water leakage and rotting. I’ve been checking out the E-Pro/Geo-Pro12SRK but don’t like the interior that much. I even considered the ultra-cheap Viking 9.0 tdv package but the refrigerator and air conditioner look so cheap. I might buy the tag boondock and use a portable mr.buddy heater when winter camping with no hook-ups.
Please add screen doors! Would be so nice.
Thanks for the feedback; we'll pass it along to our Design Team!
In the meantime, perhaps something like this could be used www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Screen-Door-Partition-Friendly/dp/B074TWKVQB/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=screen+velcro&qid=1608316663&sr=8-3 - I've used something similar to allow my dogs unrestricted access to my fenced yard (without me having to constantly let them in & out), and it worked great and lasted for several seasons. The velcro allows it to be easily removed from the door frame & folded for storage.

There are different electrical requirements when designing smaller campers like the TAG. You can get a specific breakdown from our Customer Service Team if you'd like a full answer. You can drop them an email at customerservice@nucamprv.com.
No reason why you cant hard wire an arb or dometic chest style fridge in that cooler spot. It's how my 2017 is set up

Hope it doesn't rain when your cooking lol.
The back hatch does offer some protection, but there are many after-market attachments that will offer true protection from the elements.
You realise that the solar panel has the shadow of the roof rack on it right?
There will be a slight shadow from the roof rack, but it won't impact the functionality of the solar panels.
For the price t@g on these campers ($17,000 cad), and not come standard with a fridge is a major downfall and I wouldn't have bought my 2018 if it didn't have one. I serenely hope that you do pass this on to your design team.

Ok.
This teardrop is spotless. The looks are so clean that they make you want to pick up the phone and call. But there is an 🐘elephant in the room. The price. He made sure he did not mention that. Who makes an ad and leaves out the finances entirely. That's because the price of these toys is their biggest turn off. If you have not been exposed to these things you could be thinking from that video that $5000 could get you one of these. After watching this video, try and call or order, and you will be hit with an exploitative $33,000 price tag.
Awesome. That's about $22k right there.
The TAG does have a great setup!
What no tv....
There's no TV with the default package, but the hookups are ready right inside the cabinet.
Clearly you have listening issues, as this was addressed in the video. 🤡
no toillett
You are correct! The TAG is our smallest teardrop trailer, and it does not have a bathroom. If you are looking for one with a bathroom, check out the TAB 320 or the TAB 400 ☺
Nothing like tent camping. Leave your home at home.
"Chassis" is pronounced "Chass-ee"
Thanks for sharing!
@@nucamprv I'm not trying to be a smartass, just pointing it out. Your trailer is amazing BTW!
I was hoping someone else caught that.
No bathroom
There is no toilet in the TAG, but there is an outdoor shower. However, our other teardrop campers do include an indoor wet bath!
How about an actual fridge? No tv is fine......But can you justify no fridge? For me....And yes I’m shopping......THAT is a deal killer.
Thanks for the feedback, Frank! We'll pass it along to our Design Team.
Chas_is? That's not how its pronounced!
Those welds are fucked
These are so expensive they wont even list the price anywhere on the website lol
We actually don't sell any units ourselves; we have a great network of dealers across North America. As for the price, it all depends on options and the dealer (because of shipping and them being independently owned and operated). You can find your nearest dealer by using our Dealer Locator Tool: nucamprv.com/find-a-dealer/
shit !
Who’s here not even looking for a camper... but fantasizing about downsizing and just running away to escape the shit?
Not a bad way to spend your time!
