These videos are perfect for a relative newcomer to Azure AD. As someone looking to sync from on prem to AAD, the videos I have watched up to now are really helpful and insightful. Thanks!

@@NTFAQGuy They're giving me the confidence to take the jump, hopefully without breaking the existing subscriptions!
That is the issue for me, we have on prem AD and AAD that has only been used for Office365 / Teams etc, but now want to use it with on prem AD for single auth etc. I assume that if I set up sync for a test OU, I aren't going to break anything for existing users?

@@TheM5Dog if you have AAD for Office 365 then you already have it. There is not a different one for Azure etc.

@@NTFAQGuy I guess I didn't word that very well lol. Up to now our ad and aad have been separate entities. I want to set up sync from on prem to aad, but don't want to break anything with the existing users, email etc. Some of the users are likely to be the same after we had an old hybrid exchange set up. I guess I can just sync with a test ou for now and see what happens, I just don't want to break any existing stuff.

I spent an entire day looking for this explanation and every blog or video just stated facts without explaining the link. Now that I found your explanation, I can sleep peacefully. 😆Thank you so much!!

This is where I live during the day with our M365 SAAS tenant. It's nice to see a real description of how it works. Didn't Einstein say that if you can explain it to someone you understand it, if you can't you don't. Thanks John!

A great summary as always! Is there any chance you'll be interested in covering 'alternate login ID'? It would really great if you could clarify details on the different types. As I understand there are currently 3 flavours out there currently; 1. federated alternate login ID, 2. alternate login ID with PHS or PTA, 3. preview version of alternate login ID where you don't actually map a different attribute as your UPN in Azure AD, but it will allow you to login with a proxy address as well as your UPN.
