This video helped my Dad and I unjam our 1948 Mills High Top. It had been jammed for months and we didn’t know what we were gonna do. Thanks for the info!
thank you so much for posting this! we have a mills '34 dime machine which has been jammed for years.....thanks to your video it's unjammed &working fine! thanks again!
@@VintageSlots Looking for a person in PA, NJ, DE or MD who works on Mills, we have a 1937 model, that is locked and jammed. Just inherited the machine from a deceased uncle and the key is no where to be found. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for this video. Our old Mills has been non functional for a few years now. After coming across your video, I was able to have it working in less than 30 minutes. And the problem was in the elevator! Thank you!!
@YourFreeToys - you can cycle the escalator without a coin IF the first coin check at the top inside of the Mills escalator has been removed (which it often is), however cycling it without coins won't really tell you much about how well it functions, will it?? :) @VintageSlots - thank you, between your RUclips videos and your terrific DVDs, you are a lifesaver (or should I say a "slot saver")
Hi,Iam from Australia and have an aristrocrat slot machine,I need to know why is it when i pull the lever the spinning wheels do not spin at full velocity.would you have a clue on what may be the problem,Thanks Patrick
Mine does not seem to set when reinstalling the mechanism it just doesn’t seem to go all the way forward the mechanism works when out of case but won’t work when handle is pulled
I received a Mills Watermelon machine and the one of the three glass panes are cracked. Do you have a video that shows how to access and replace the pane?
I recently spotted a Mills Roman slot machine at an antique store. It's in rough shape. Not damaged, just missing parts. Will you advise me on whether I should pick this up or not? If so, I'm sure I will have to provide you with more information. I am really intrigued by the mechanics of this device ! Thank you.
+Mark Nice It depends on price and condition. If it needs work can you work on it or will you have to find someone to work on it? What about parts? If it needs parts then they can be expensive. Finding someone qualified to work on it cold also be a challenge. Go to www.AntiqueSlotMachinePriceGuice.com to research values. Good luck with whatever you do.
+VintageSlots It's just the wood case with the mechanism, surface rust. $95.00 Thanks. It's a shame to have to pay to get prices from the price guide :(
This is info I have found so far. After removing the top (as shown in video) I found some numbers on the back R-MLB7905. After typing those numbers into google, I found that my SM is a Mills High Top 777 from the 1960's. All of these specific SM I found online had Mills on the front, mine has THE MINT. I knew it was a Mills from a sticker that was on the side. I have tried all the suggestions in both your videos and I still cannot get the SM un-jammed. So, my question now is, what's the best way to sale this SM, and how much can I get for it ?
You can go to www.AntiqueSlotMachinePriceGuide.com and find out what similar machines have sold for. If you click on the "I Want to Sell a Slot" link and fill out the information they will send out the information to dealers and collectors who have registered with them. Good luck with it.
Hello. When I slide the mechanism back into the machine something isn’t right. The lever no longer works, it goes about 1/10 of the way down and gets stuck. The escalator is working properly as well as manually operating the lever (with a screwdriver). Everything runs fine on its own. However when I slide in the mechanism I hear the “ding” like it’s locked in place but the lever will no budge more than 1/10 of motion. Please help! (The slot machine was working properly earlier; I followed your instructions to access the coin container in the front of the machine to collect all of the coins but when putting it back together something shifted? Thank you
It sounds like the linkage between the escalator and mechanism is not correct. Go to 7:20 in the video. If you still can't get it to work post a message in the Just Chatting area of CoinOpCollectorForum.com, use code 3240 to register.
Look for coins that may have fallen into the mechanism. If that is not the issue look for broken or disconnects springs. Make sure the reels are secured properly on the hub and the pay holes align correctly when a winning combination is hit. If none of the above are the problem then the slides may be dirty and need to be removed and cleaned.
Go to www.CoinOpRegstry.com. That is a place which has over 7,000 serial numbers in its database. Go to the Mills area and find a serial number that is close to yours. You can then get a good idea of what year it was made in.
Hello I'm new here and I was wondering if you know anything about a bally slot machine; model 1089-222. with a summit systems tag above it that says; model# 142363
I have a question, My slot machine also made by Mills it is now obvious that the escalator is jammed, all the quarters are touching each other, but i cannot open the back panel due to the reason that i do not have a key to this machine, I've noticed that some other slot machines have a lock similar to a bike lock, but mi slot machine seems to have something different it looks like a ket with some sort of groove, i would like to know if i should drill out the lock, or is it possible to have a key made for that type of lock, if you would like to see pictures of my slot machine feel free to contact me via email fernando@prowindowz.com thank you for the great info.
Most mills machines have customized logs which use a key that has a "wiggle" cut. Virtually impossible to pick. You will probably have to have the lock drilled and then deal with a mess of metal filing inside the machine.
I have acquired a Mills 10 cent slot machine. It has been sitting in a closet for 40 years. It was jammed so I followed your directions and was able to get the coins that we stuck in the window. Thank you for your help. One last thing, I would like to know how to find the year manufactured. I did find a number on left side looking from the back 600591. Thanks in advance for any help finding manufactured date

Brilliant video along with the part 1 video. I have a Mills Extra Bell and this video is just what I need to keep on top of it.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You helped us to unjam our 1962 Mills Lucky Dice slot machine after about 6 months of not being able to figure out what was wrong!

Great video. thanks. I have a problem with my Mills not paying . What's the most common problem cause this to happen?
Check out my video about the reel bundle. ruclips.net/video/sjKSoRKW0i0/видео.html
very nice job.
How do you remove the coins that are visible in the glass window in the front of the machine?
Any idea who works on a "Nevada Bonanza Bank" mini slot machine?
nice video, thanks
Just got the slot machine today. It jammed up after a few minutes, didn't have a clue how to clear. You saved the day. THANKS
I received a Mills Watermelon machine and the one of the three glass panes are cracked. Do you have a video that shows how to access and replace the pane?
Just remove the mechanism and you will see the frame that holds the glass in place. Remove the 4 screws and you have access to the glass.

$3.95 is not really a lot of money for the information that it provides.
Great videos. Would you know where I can find a back door for my mills bursting cherry slot machine?

So, what's your point?
I have an older Mills machine that was given to me. How would I find out what year, model it is ?
Go to www.CoinOpRegstry.com. That is a place which has over 7,000 serial numbers in its database.
Go to the Mills area and find a serial number that is close to yours. You can then get a good idea of what year it was made in.

I think those were made in the 1970s. They are electromechanical and nothing like the machine I am talking about in this video.
@@VintageSlots thank you I have one but I don't know where the keys are for it
You can cycle the escalator without putting money in the machine... but hey, what do i know.
I can take a picture
