Kinda the art of cooking in general, ey? Everything starts as this almost disgusting, gooey, messy bunch of random stuff, but eventually it comes together as something mouth watering. Highly interesting to watch.
If you guys don't know how takoyaki flipping works, here is some process: 1: The batter on upper parts of the takoyaki is semi-cooked, therefore has some gooey charateristics. 2: You take a stick and poke on the edge part of the takoyaki. 3: Move a stick quick enough for gooey part of the batter is pulled on top like a blanket. 4: A stick is also used to spin the takoyaki while covering exposed part to face the grill. 5: As the under-cooked part of takoyaki is placed on the bottom, the semi-cooked (gooey) part of the batter solidifies 6: The solidified part will become like other parts of takoyaki and make it into a ball shape. Did you guys get it? If not, sorry about me trying to explain how things work as many things happen at once when making takoyaki. A tip for takoyaki flipping is timing. You just need to know when bottom part is cooked enough to retain shape even when flipped.
I tried this for the first time last night. Life CHANGED. Omg the flavor was unbelievable I don't know why I expected it to taste weird but its so savory but kind of sweet and soft and chewy and delicious 11/10 would recommend.
Takoyaki tastes a bit like a very savory, very moist biscuit with a crispy exterior and a gooey inside. The little bit of octopus inside is chewy and the flavor kind of just blends with the rest. The real star of takoyaki is the sauce and toppings. The flavor of the toppings tends to dominate the takoyaki. My favorite is a sriracha mayo with bonito flakes but there are many different types of toppings. Takoyaki is best eaten hot. When it gets cold it loses a lot of charm. Both the texture and flavor change if it isn't hot. I've never reheated takoyaki but I can't imagine it would be as good as when its fresh. If you buy some, plan to eat it immediately. Usually the vendor will include a toothpick to serve the takoyaki with so you don't have to grab it with your fingers or get chopsticks.
Thank you for all the info! I was wondering what it'd be like to eat these since I don't think I'll ever have the chance to. This makes it easier to imagine 💔
Skill, ability, chefmanship, showmanship, great taste. In Japan l ate much of my food curbside. The restaurants were another world. Awesome. The streetside vendors are in a world-class of their own.
Takoyaki is so good, it's crispy on the outer layer and the inside is soft and chewy from the octopus and if you put pickled ginger on it, it gets even better
How do I get to heaven? Will my good deeds be measured against my bad deeds? Do I need to be a good person to go to heaven? How do I know if I'm good enough? Answer: By believing on Jesus Christ who took the punishment for our sin on the cross. There are no amount of good works we can do to achieve salvation because salvation is a free gift of God. Hello, I am Japanese. I'm going to describe the recipe now, so if you're interested, please try to make it! But there may be some unclear points because I use a translator. Please understand. Ingredients (for about 32 pieces) 200 g light flour 3 eggs 20cc milk 600cc water (or soup stock) 160g octopus, cut into small pieces 2 green onions, cut into small pieces 20g of Tenkasu Tenka with squid tempura 1 g Otafuku dried red ginger Otafuku Takoyaki Sauce as needed Otafuku green laver as needed Salad oil as needed ※Mix 10% sesame oil into the salad oil for a savory bake! Others to taste cabbage Recipe will be described in the future. ①Mix 600cc of water with 20cc of milk, 3 eggs, and 200g of flour. ②In a bowl, combine the green onions, "Tenkasu Tenka" and red ginger. *Mix before baking so you can get the ingredients in quickly! ③Heat the takoyaki cooker to 200°C and spread salad oil over the entire cooker. (About 1 grain of dregs will accumulate at the bottom of the hole.) Then, fill the takoyaki dough up to 80% of the hole in the takoyaki cooker. ④Add the octopus and other ingredients you have mixed in, and fill with dough until it overflows through the holes. In my opinion, the more dough you let overflow, the more beautiful the sphere will be when you form the circle. ⑤When the overflowing dough has set, cut into a lattice and turn over. 3 tips (1) Turn it over! When the dough around the dough has set and a rim has formed, turn the dough over. Quickly turn it over before the dough hardens completely, and it will be medium soft! ⑥Shape the takoyaki into a round shape while keeping the part you want rounded down. Three tips (2) Tung, ston! Lift and drop the pick on the opposite side you want to make round. The still uncooked dough will follow the shape of the griddle hole and become round! ⑦Spin the takoyaki in a circular motion to brown the takoyaki. Three tips (3): Twirling twirling twirling twirling Turn the takoyaki to brown! The outside will be crispy. ⑧When browned, pour "takoyaki sauce" and "aonori" on top. I couldn't be happier to help!!! :)

Depends on the country ahahaha
This video ain't about bts huns it's about the takoyaki so SHHHHHH we get it yall love kpop
THIS IS JAPAN NOT KOREA , WTF
@@孫子 they are talking about bts because one of their songs is in the background in the video at one point. I'm pretty sure they know the difference between Korea and Japan..
@@exloster9624 I know , but this video is supposed to be about takoyakis which is a Japanese food , and people are paying attention to the background music for too much
@@孫子 Well.. I severely doubt they knew in advance that their favourite artist would be in the background, so they did come for the takoyakis and since the song they are talking about is at the end of the video, it means they watched the whole video and were just surprised in the end, resulting in commenting their last thought. I do not think it's anything that odd or insulting to any.. takoyaki enthusiasts? Really, compared to some comment sections, this isn't that bad. I saw so many more comments about the takoyakis then I did about bts.

I want to go Japan right now:))
Hello, I am Japanese.
I'm going to describe the recipe now, so if you're interested, please try to make it!
But there may be some unclear points because I use a translator. Please understand.
Ingredients (for about 32 pieces)
200 g light flour
3 eggs
20cc milk
600cc water (or soup stock)
160g octopus, cut into small pieces
2 green onions, cut into small pieces
20g of Tenkasu Tenka with squid tempura
1 g Otafuku dried red ginger
Otafuku Takoyaki Sauce as needed
Otafuku green laver as needed
Salad oil as needed
※Mix 10% sesame oil into the salad oil for a savory bake!
Others to taste
cabbage
Recipe will be described in the future.
(About 1 grain of dregs will accumulate at the bottom of the hole.)
Then, fill the takoyaki dough up to 80% of the hole in the takoyaki cooker.
Three tips (3): Twirling twirling twirling twirling
Turn the takoyaki to brown!
The outside will be crispy.
⑧When browned, pour "takoyaki sauce" and "aonori" on top.
I couldn't be happier to help!!! :)
I watch this while waiting for my takoyaki to be delivered.
Technlogy and takoyaki delivery FTW!
seriously the main reason why I would love to go to Japan haha, to eat as many takoyaki errrday
