They can’t perfectly reprint 20+ year old sets. The card original stock no longer exists. Also the factories that printed WOTC no longer print Pokémon cards from what I understand. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. I highly doubt they are just reprinting Vintage sets for streamers. That works mean the entire integrity of their company would be at risk for the sake of streamers when I’m sure they bring lots of business to Pokémon, I seriously doubt they need them to that extent.
Apart from randomness in the Pokemon Pack you also get another layer of randomness in a mystery box. People love randomness and lottery stuff. It's just more to enjoy. But if you want just bigger profit chance, stay away from mystery boxes. That's super simple.

No one's particularly right in any of this. Pokemon does have a frat-boy issue at the moment. The positivity feels extremely fake and they're only pretending to keep their hustle going. Ryan's his best friend and Vault sells his own packs, so of course they're going to defend him. She shouldn't be calling that out because she does it herself, but also Rev's friends shouldn't be so sensitive on his behalf. I propose that no one should sell mystery packs because it is basically gambling with extra gambling.
Okay, nobody and I mean nobody, is in a business to lose money. That being said, PokeRev is probably the most transparent person there is doing this and is giving the best value for the price (looking at you MJ Holdings). You’re gambling squared when you buy any mystery product, including Rev’s. Gambling you’ll get nothing better than a green pack, then gambling there are zero hits in said packs.
Complaining about the price or hit rates of mystery packs that no one is forcing you to buy is really weird. I don’t complain when the blackjack dealer takes all my money at the end of the night 😂
I have grabbed the mystery packs here and there. Last two times I got them i pulled a 1st edition jungle and a plasma storm pack. First time getting stuff past the xy/sun and moon era. I agree they are not for everyone and I have gotten some great pulls from the packs but its a gamble at the end plan and simple.

Yeah, I've opened Mystery Packs before (not often) and struck out on all of them, but that's the kind of game you play with these. The only thing you could maybe get Rev on with his packs is that he might lie about the odds for getting certain packs, but there's no real evidence to support that.

I'm not really a pokerev fan, but I have bought some of his mystery bags. It is gambling, and you should only gamble what you can afford to lose. I personally don't believe they are overpriced. I'm going to assume some prices here, and would appreciate any comments to correct me if I'm mistaken. If you buy a full sealed box of 50 you would recieve 2 gold packs valued at 500, 5 silver packs also valued at 500, 10 red packs valued at 200, and 33 green packs which I will assume are 4 dollars each which is 132. Plus you will recieve the 5 filler packs in each bag totalling 250 packs which i assume are around 4 dollars each for another 1000. The total would be 2332. That leaves him some wiggle room for the price of packaging. Seems fair to me honestly.
It's a gamble buying the mystery packs. People constantly complain about not winning. They wouldn't be rare (or have low odds), if everyone won the gold pack. Kudos to PokeRev getting older cards into fans hands and not charging a crazy amount. Part of the fun is not knowing what you will get.

I had good luck with PokeRev and got a silver pack out of 2 purchased. All in all not the worst repack / mystery pack value out there. You’re getting at a minimum 6 packs that are usually $3-4 anyway so cool you can lose $30 of value or so but Opossum is right literally everything is a gamble at least he’s giving you a decent shot at some old packs that are too difficult to find legit / unweighed

It's a gamble buying the mystery packs. People constantly complain about not winning. They wouldn't be rare (or have low odds), if everyone won the gold pack. Kudos to PokeRev getting older cards into fans hands and not charging a crazy amount. Part of the fun is not knowing what you will get.
Honestly, I think mystery bags are just a way to get rid of mass amounts of product that would be potentially harder to sell on its own. Not many people would drop 500 dollars on a vintage pack, but a lot of people would pay 10 dollars to have a 1 in 50 chance of winning one.

I had good luck with PokeRev and got a silver pack out of 2 purchased. All in all not the worst repack / mystery pack value out there. You’re getting at a minimum 6 packs that are usually $3-4 anyway so cool you can lose $30 of value or so but Opossum is right literally everything is a gamble at least he’s giving you a decent shot at some old packs that are too difficult to find legit / unweighed

Looking back, I opened up Rev's 3.0 mystery pack earlier this year I got from ebay. A red bag had a XY Primal Clash and pulled a Gardevoir EX.
