004 - Orchard Fence. Quad Repair. Firewood

- This week I keep working on the orchard. I installed all the corner posts with cross supports in preparation for a couple of gates. I also get the two long 90 foot sections of fencing up with my dad. There was a problem with my quad that I had to sort out and some firewood that needed chopping up. Check it out.

Great video, it's nice that your family came down, even better that your dad gave you a hand.
The fencing is looking good now, and i bet you enjoyed that fix of the very old quad bike, useful for you. It's a pity you couldn't use some of that wood, but if you can get some dosh to put towards more stuff for the remodel, then that would be a bonus for you. Looking forward to the guest room remodel, i have always enjoyed all your videos since day one i subscribed, these videos are just as good so try and keep them coming. Good Luck in your Remodelling.

Those smaller logs would make good bowl blanks. If you don't have a lathe, maybe you could sell them off. Or you could turn cool table legs from them.
Yeah I don’t have a lathe at this point. Maybe some day. For now, it’s going to be some amazing firewood 🔥

Nice. Why is the fence necessary? I mean, in your region, what are you hoping to keep out with it?
We have a ton of deer that love to ravage anything edible. Also, one of the main reasons for the fence is to keep out the bears. I haven’t installed the electric fence yet but that is coming. We have already lost 2 chickens to the bears. They also love eating fruit.
