      You need to lower the lens as led is higher than the beam of halogen.

      There are many factors and many upgrades to headlight housings over the years that help mitigate any glare to oncoming drivers. It is more or less the color of the light which causes distraction and not the actual brightness intensity itself. If you notice, the most distracting lights to see on the road are the blue HID lights which cause a lot of glare for the human eye, whereas you probably never noticed the 6000K lights on the road because they are more natural to the human eye.

    Some notes. At 1:17 the plastic tabs with he was fidgeting, the video skips it but you pry on the inner part of the tab. At 1:39 he say guide tabs, comes right out. Its actually plastic pins that snaps in pretty tight. Use a proper pry tool, they are sensitive, I broke both of them on one side. At 2:20 the plastic piece he says comes right out. It is clipped in as well, you have to pull it with a good amount of force not just a "good tug".

    Great video, thanks. I'm considering installing these on my 09 Tundra. Couple of rookie questions first, though. Is there a proper orientation of the LED bulb...what I mean is, is it possible to put the new bulb in upside down? I know to line up the tabs to the notches in the light housing, but the LED doesn't appear to have the same structure on both sides of the bulb. Also, as far as mounting the driver, my battery area doesn't have room for anything else. Is there any place else you would recommend to mount the driver, or any flat spot that will reach the light? Where did you mount the driver for the passenger side? Thanks for your video!

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  8 лет назад +1

      Thank you for your interest. Yes, most of our LEDs are polarity specific, so if you insert a bulb and it does not come on, first think I would do is remove, flip 180 degrees, and reinsert. Also, you can mount the ballast anywhere under the hood you find room. You would just want to ensure that where you are mounting is dry, and free from dust. It should not be difficult to find a place the mount the driver's side ballast.

    Are these better than hids ?

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  5 лет назад +1

      HIDs are considered an outdated technology. They would still project your lights very bright. However, they require much more power from your battery, and run at a higher temperature in your housing, making them more risky to damage. LEDs are just as bright, if not brighter, run at a lower temperature, and last much longer, which we back with a lifetime warranty.

    Can I also put leds on my fog lights or is that illegal

    • @PrecisionLED
      @PrecisionLED  6 лет назад

      The legality varies vastly from locale to locale and you will need to check with your local laws and regulations. What we commonly dissuade customers from, and what is illegal, are any colors above 6000K, as they are prohibited by the Department Of Transportation. Any color hues in your headlights are very distracting to other drivers which is why we only carry the 6000K color temperature for the headlamps, as they project the purest white.
      With proper installation in a projector housing, your aftermarket LED headlight/fog lights will perform exactly like OEM LEDs.

      Thank you for the interest. The video is for the 2nd generation, which would indeed include the 2016 Tundra.
