I'm so happy we live in a timeline where Dead Island 2 released in a fantastic state, and is one of the better games in a year that's already had multiple bangers only 4 months in

It is a wonderful game. I had no expectations, grabbed it while returning some older games. What a pleasant surprise, for a yet no-name studio, this is nothing short of a miracle. Kudos to the development team and I wish them all the best for releasing a game that runs and plays so well day-one.

Took me 30 hours and 30 minutes to get the 1000G on Xbox and loved every minute of it. My favourite completion in years.

Just got this plat as well and I played as Jacob the game was incredibly fun also keep up the amazing content man you really make my day when you upload also adding the rages was a great choice
I like the rages because other youtubers make themselves look unbeatable and have no problem getting trophy's that a normal person will rage at so thanks for the clips😃

Hearing you tilt at that wave battle bs in the metro. I did the same thing all I can say is it too me longer than it needed to for that fight and I'm going for the platinum but nice job man I love seeing someone who loves dead island 2 as much as I do play the game fully through!

I got platinum after 30h of playing this game and i must say that clearing quests and slashing zombies with Jacob was super fun and sometimes even hilarious. It is a worthy successor of the previous game, not like the disappointing dying light 2

This game was fun to go for. Cant wait for the DLC for it. I am the same with going for games. I usually wait for a few months but this one was different and I went for it straightaway.

Tbh I really enjoyed the first game but i wasnt really hyped for this one, but i bought it day 1 anyway and i gotta say i am really enjoying it definitely recommend it to anyone enjoying these kind of games especially to those who were let down by Dying Light 2.
It's interesting that you choose amy(the most vulnerable character to playthrough as) really added to my enjoyment.

I did the base game achievement hunt when it released and it was an easy but extremely fun one. I won’t say this was the best game of the year since the story was just okay and the number of zombies was underwhelming but they did an outstanding job making the game an absolute blast which made up for some of the shortcomings.

Yes this game even though I’ve done about everything in it it’s such a fun game to kill zombies in, you’ll almost get the platinum just having fun
Honestly my only complaints about Dead Island 2 are;
1. I hate the "next stage in human evolution" trope, it's just gotten stale at this point.
2. The misuse and lack of legacy characters.
3. Why the new zombie infection? We still had the Kuru teased at the end of Riptide, plus all the zombies ended up becoming near identical special infected anyhow.
Other than those arguably minor gripes, the gameplay's fantastic. The gore system is the absolute best I've seen in a game to date and I hope more games utilize whatever the heck the team did to make that happen.
Man another great video, this one is a must by for me, cant wait to play it.

I love the "souls borne" type games, but I never play them as I'm completely useless and can't get pasted standard enemies, so I choose to watch walkthroughs on them instead of playing them lol
im really happy i did a full run no deaths both dlc's and everything done with Amy with the hard card on so i have beaten this game at its hardest with no deaths xD cant wait to see what else comes to dead island 2 or will we be lucky enough to get a remaster of the OG games with the same aspects this game has.
I'm working on this Platinum now. I have about 12 trophies left, which are mainly the challenges and non story quests.

Funny story, I tried getting Ninja for 3 days and gave up... then literally completed the challenge 12 minutes later while playing the final story quest.

I started with Dead Island Riptide (PC) back then. And even most of the ppl don't like that, i enjoyed every minute with Sam B. To be fair the story was a bit strange, but fun. And when they announcent Dead Island 2 the first time, i was freaking happy with the Cinematic with that jogger. But then nothing for many many years. I bought later the Dead Island Pack for my PS4, so i can play the first one as well. But one day i saw it, that the "real" Dead Island 2 is comming. Day 1 came and i played until night xD Hope they make a third one^^

i bought dead island 2 a couple of days agobefore buying and playing it i was never happy with games but dead island 2 is beautiful and it changed my mind
I was aiming for the platinum for this game, and I truly felt the same way about the game. I sadly couldn't get the trophy because I was on PS4 at the time, and PS4 has a terrible time syncing and giving me the artist trophy. But I'm getting that now after watching this video since I got a PS5 now.

Still never thought there was a ton tbh.. there was a nice amount, like fighting 20 zombies felt insane, compared to like World War Z where you have to fight 700 zombies, Dead Island 2 had a lovely pacing

Most platinums are pure hell to do because you don't want to go through something that pisses you off. But this game was very fair and how it should be. Most games just throw in random requirements that ends up pissing you off so you don't bother. You know, such as complete this and this mission with the perfect score or finish the game on hardest difficulty. Or even worse when they are heavy on online requirements. You have to rely on others which is a nightmare.
Too funny I was raging and having fight problems at the exact same fights!🤣 I made the same mistake as you, went into the boss fight 2lvls lower than he was. So also backed out to level up some more, before getting back in. I was raging so hard I almost lost my HUMANITY🤣😉
Well I did offer you to help with the co-op trophies, but luckely the quick join worked perfectly💪🏾 I'm still working on getting this plat, but congrats to you for having it in the bag✌🏾🦖
If you’re someone like me who gets sidetracked a lot by side quests and shit, you actually find yourself being on or over the recommended level for each story mission.
Always a mistake to go in under levelled, and funnily enough I did think of messaging you for help with co-op but then I thought "how do I even contact them" just reply to a old comment and hope you're on YT😂 maybe you'll have to add me on PS

Not gonna lie, doing the "redacted" mission that gave me the Legendary AK, made the final boss feel underwhelming like fighting Adam Smasher in Cyberpunk... literally melted him with two mags... My Rage came from doing the ninja challenge and completely misunderstanding what the hell to do for the challenge where you gotta kick three zombies... kept thinking it was a fly kick when it was actually a drop kick...
The platinum for first game was also really enjoyable. Finding the skulls took a bit and I have the same issues as you with finding decent co-op groups, the rest was good fun.
My only complaint with this game is that there aren't enough games like this today (Robocop was no different). Same goes for the truly mature games like Last Of Us, Death Stranding or Red Dead. There's too much trash indie and shovelware on PSN these days. There's no way 90% of that stuff sells.

Man, I did all the side quest before I advanced the story and didn’t have any issues. None of the zombies where red or one shotting me.
The balance is for people to do everything not skip the side stuff
yeah im fully aware.. hence I mention it in the video. I also enjoyed the challenge more than just breezing through every zombie and boss (despite the rages) being a lower level, and being Amy with far less health, made certain missions extremely challenging and FAR more fun than just breezing through levels

yeah it didn't really feel like I was trying to get the platinum, more so just playing the game
I beat the game when it first came out and I raged so much the boss fights took me so long because they were so difficult

I have gotten all of them but one which has bugged out which is annoying as hell as its the very first one you should get, welcome to hell-a. Hopefully they will do a patch and fix a lot of issues in the game.

It's sad the only thing I need are the co-op trophies and to reach level 1 in a certain category that requires co-op. I could technically play the Haus expansion co-op if I find someone to do it with to finish the platinum.

Dying light 2 doesn't have sewer scene it has unifinshed underground train tunnels and maintenance rooms and dying light one was a tunnel aswell the zombie but we did go in the sewers in the last mission where the volatiles and when we get to old town
