I remember back in 2008 when Palm Beach County Fire Rescue used these for their Engines and Rescues back when they had the FL80s for the Engines and Rescues. Now they use the Whelen Cencom Sapphire for their Engines and Ambulances, but mostly the Engine uses the Q instead.
My favorite siren of all time, love it! It looks really new! Does Whelen still make this model? Could you also show the other tones which you can program on it?
Thanks buddy! If those are the only tones then I wonder why it has states T3 for the piercer. From my understanding T3 (Tone 3) would normally be programmable. That's why the current sirens only show T1 T2 T3 instead of Wail, Yelp, Piercer. 2007, wow!
@@Rummeltobi ya your right i didnt think about that. These do not have the scan lock button like the new whelen sirens and i dont know how it could be changed. I sold this siren so unfortunately I cant mess with it and see.
Zach Novosad you can have one it's just the illegal to install inside of your vehicle if you're not a first responder and use it in public or on public roadways
David Dies yes it is illegal for civilians to use them in public or on public roadways especially in their vehicles but they are not illegal to own and use on private property

RTobi (Rummeltobi) no Whelen no longer produces this siren new and unfortunately these are the only tones that you can have on it
RTobi (Rummeltobi) yes this siren was made in 2007 so it is over 10 years old but is in really good shape
Thanks buddy!

I wish I could have a siren so bad.

Zach Novosad but you can buy and own Sirens legally and use them on private property as in in your house
@LouisianaLights&SirensCollector
I take it it’s illegal for a civilian to use one.
