"Hasten Down The Wind" is my 1st= favourite album (with " Heart Like A Wheel")
Can you imagine, she never thought she had that great of a voice! I had a friend who grew up in Laurel Canyon, Linda used to come over to his musician parents house when he was a kid, he has been in love with her since he was 5 yrs old. Even my dad fell in love with her.
She is always remarkable ... love her and I love your reactions to her everytime! God bless you.
Linda had become the premier female interpretive vocalist several years before recording this album containing "Lose Again." Her dynamic performance here showed just why she was the absolutely the finest singer of Rock & Soul Oldies, Classic Country, Contemporary Pop and Spanish language Mariachi of her generation. They just don't make them like this anymore.

Originally from Karla Bonoff's 1977 album "Karla Bonoff." She wrote it. She sings it best. Don't get me wrong'; Linda is fabulous, but Karla makes the lyrics seethe with passion. Karla wrote it. And this album was the inspiration for so many female singer-songwriters that followed.

You really should try to take a look at Karla Bonoff.
She wrote this song as well as a few others that Linda released.
"Someone to lay down Beside Me", "Restless Nights", "Wild Heart of the Young", Baby Don't Go", "Tears From the Sun (Keiko Matsui), and the haunting "Goodbye My Friend" are all Keepers.
She is very underrated, IMO.

Don't know if you've ever listened to her cover of the Little Feat song Willin" but if you haven't, I assure you it's not a waste of your time.
Debbie made a great selection! But can you ever really go wrong with any Linda song? Harri, one of my favorite softer, Linda songs, is “Alison.” ❤️ It’s a cover but done so beautifully.
