A different Jive technique for the Lads.

Something different for your Jive that will open up a whole new set of moves.
I’ve been using this swing out for years and I absolutely love it but have found that both Jivers need to know how to do it before it can be used on the floor.
The way I learned this from my swing dancing days was to not let the girls back to do their back step. This gives the lead control of the direction of the girl coming back up the slot which basically meant we didn’t have to move.
Letting them back step means we don’t have that same control because they rightly do an anchor step. This is what makes country jiving so smooth to dance and frees up the lads to do lots more intricate moves.
So, to compensate for not being able to change the girls direction, we have move. Get off our arses and cross over the slot. The girls will now be coming from our left instead of the right.
