I'm so glad to see an update from you Kathy. I think of you very often, and wonder how you're doing. You're a wonderful lady, who's faith in the Lord warms my heart. Hi Kathy, you truly are a warrior for the Lord!!! My husband died of ALS 21 yrs ago. He was only 46. He was a remarkable man in every way. His walk with the Lord was so strong also. He was such an example to others even me who cared for him 24/7. When he passed, I knew I wanted a walk as strong as his (I was and am a Christian, but he was farther along on his walk). I started to read all that I could and learn all that I could and believe it or not I received a calling to be a minister for God, and so I started through the schooling etc and did so. This is the very short version. I still wish he were here but I know I wouldn’t have received my calling if he were and I wouldn’t want him back in the current crazy world that’s for sure. I will keep praying for you. One day at a time, blessings, Christine

I’m so sorry for your discouragement, Melanie. It is Melanie, isn’t it? I have a sweet niece with that name. We live in a broken world. It’s hard and hard to understand at times. This is why I’m so thankful for God’s Word that gives me peace in the midst of the storm. Might I suggest reading through a gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) all the while asking God to reveal truth to you. Start with the question “who is Jesus?” All the other big questions fall into place then. Let me leave you with this verse, this truth out of 2 Corinthians 5:21 - “He made Him (Jesus), who knew no sin to be sin for us (Jesus wasn’t a sinner like us. Sin wasn’t found in Him.) Why did God do this? “ So that we might become the righteous of God in Him.” I call this the great exchange. We, being full of sin, Jesus took and became it for us, on the cross. God punished Jesus in our place. Now we are righteous and pure like Him. He gives us His righteousness when we give Him our sin. Praying for you. May you find peace in who Jesus is and what He did for you.
