Death of a Large Microbe: Collected 02/08/2024 in a small pond

I collected this water specimen at a small pond in Buncombe County, North Carolina. I let the water sit in a sunny window for a few days and found this large single cell microbe. I noticed it was moving slowly and kept a camera on it. Turns out for some reason it was in distress and shortly died. I used the Swift 380T Trinocular microscope, and an attached Sony a7rIII camera for the filming. This is videoed using the Dark Field technique which uses reflected light to illuminate the subject and gives a dark background and adds color to the organisms.
