    I'm thrilled to present my new personalized vocal program SINGING IGNITION!
    www.singingignition.com
    SINGING IGNITION is a revolutionary self-study singing program that lets you practice techniques and exercises customized for you...wherever and whenever you want!
    The basic problem with a video or audio recording, whether on RUclips or a self-study course, is it can’t give you the valuable feedback you need! They can’t determine what your voice specifically needs, curate the exercises that will work for you, and then adjust the exercises according to how your voice reacts.
    That’s what a good voice teacher does. They tailor the content of their lessons to your needs.
    But maybe you aren’t ready to commit to regular lessons. Or maybe you just can’t afford a voice teacher right now. Times are tough!
    So you're stuck either booking a voice teacher, which can get expensive and has limited hours. Or you are forced to use a self-study course that can’t really give you the feedback you need to excel...
    ...and maybe you just don't feel comfortable quite yet, sharing your talent with anyone else!
    Finally, all of this has been solved by the revolutionary new system SINGING IGNITION!

    I've struggled with mixed voice, strong vocal break, low break point issues and have not been able to overcome this problem so far which has affected my confidence to sing. I tend to just allow the break. People say it sounds nice. It can sound good for certain parts of the song but gets a bit weird sounding if it hapens too much so I have to choose my songs carefully. It would be nice to be able to sing any song. Your you tube lessons on this issue seem to work the best so far. I think I'm going to have to practice these everyday. Thankyou!

Are things like vocal fry and vibrato (which to me are the spices that add texture and flavor to the dish) worth practicing every day ? I feel like this meal is going to continue remain bland til I fully develop those things. Is it ok if I spend a half an hour a day on warmups and exercises daily but only sing 2 or 3 days a week ?

    Love these exercise videos! I have a question on how to apply exercises like these to songs I want to sing. How do I make these sounds more applicable then to singing?

    • @SpencerWelchVocalStudio
      @SpencerWelchVocalStudio  4 месяца назад

      I'm glad you love the exercises! Your questions about application to songs are valid, and singers often run into these issues when singing a song. However, just like every singer is different, singers don't suffer from the same issues. So I would have to work with you in a lesson to know what is happening in your voice and how to help you. hi spencer..first i wanna say thanks alot for all your lessons! for me they are one of the best online! i only started the exercise above with the lip roll..and i was in shock! cus i ended up riching all the notes..and you said something about whistle register. i did it in head voice nice and easy till the end of the lip roll excersice. what i'm asking is what does it mean? what does it say about my potentional vocal range? im taiking now about only lip roll scale. it's amazing because i sing with strong chest voice but only now developing my mix..cause until now i pulled chest voice to the point i could in some songs with high notes. i noticed that i can rich very high in head voice...but its funny cause i struggle with much less then that...i mean with lower notes. for ex: listen of beyonce...i do all of it except the passage part when she goes high with listen..i once did it connected but i lost it, and its always happaning to me..those high notes in songs..i wanna rich them without straining or fliping or the fear of cracking when i push it. sorry for the long question:) i wish you all the best!

    I have an almost effortless transition from chest to head. There is no break, crack, yodel shift of any kind, it just smoothly transitions. One problem. It just sounds like head voice. If I try to put ANY power behind it, it strains, no matter how much or how little air I use, regardless of my jaw position, laryngeal position, it’s strains if I try to do anything other than very light head voice above an a4

    • @SpencerWelchVocalStudio
      @SpencerWelchVocalStudio  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately, the vocal world doesn't use standardized terminology, so what one person calls chest belting might be different than what I call it. In the terminology that I use when training singing teachers, I don't lump chesty mix, chest belting, and mix belting as all being the same. What do those terms mean to you?

    • @fancythebold
      @fancythebold 3 года назад +1

      @@SpencerWelchVocalStudio those terms to me means a very strong sound that sounds like chest or chesty mix or a balanced mix, only way i know how to explain it. Lots of famous singers use these "modes"

    • @fancythebold
      @fancythebold 3 года назад +1

      I'd say the chesty mix is like a controlled yell that's compressed and I'm not sure about the others

    • @SpencerWelchVocalStudio
      @SpencerWelchVocalStudio  3 года назад +1

      Belting is singing a vibrant, brassy sound at a high dynamic. But then within this definition, singers can use their chest voice, mix voice, or head voice to belt. Adele demonstrates chest belt a lot. Bruno Mars and Whitney Houston demonstrate mix belt. And Aretha Franklin and Chaka Khan often demonstrate head belt. From working with singers for 25 years, I don't believe all singers can belt in all of these ways. Different singers have different recovery levels and times, which fluctuate with age and other stages of life. So some singers are able to belt up their chest voice for years until their voice ages and can't handle the stress of it any more.

      Good for you! Mixed voice takes a while to build so be patient with yourself. Remember that even if you have good exercises to practice along to, it's HOW you practice, not just WHAT. Singing along to a video can be challenging since it won't give you feedback to tell you whether the exercise is right for you and whether you should tweak your approach. If you can't connect your chest voice to head voice like I am in the demonstrations, it's better to flip between chest and head as you ascend and descend than to try to sing every note across the range in ALL chest or ALL head. The idea is that eventually you need to work toward thinning your chest as you ascend and thickening your head voice as you descend until a mix range develops in the middle.
