Thank you and S U L T A N for sharing your valuable insights from comp during this extremely timely sale. Glad my Hellspawn has at least one chassis to maybe see some action!
Charger 1A1 I still can't understand why you would put X-pulse on it. 7 ER small lasers give you 700 meters range, and a 25ish Alpha strike almost twice every second. Why throw away the DPS for a little range? The just lose too much with the X-pulse.
The Stone Rhino SR4 with 6 LBX-5 is underrated and also runs very cold, unlike most of the other Stone Rhinos. It's an easy 2-button setup - group of 2 for the torsos for peeking and a group of 4 for the arms. It runs a little bit light for ammo. Thanks for the rundown, I filled out some gaps in my mechs.
@@lterrey I tried the 4 LBX20 build, but you sacrifice mobility and ammo for firepower. With 6 LBX5s I can run an XL325 and 9 tons of ammo. You don't get the high alpha but you can fire more shots from further away.
Recommending the Warthog over the ADR-C? Just because the ADR-W/Warthog is good doesn't mean it's a good buy due to its relatively meh So8 quirks, any Adder can just use the Warthog omnipod and play it in a near similiar way (only having less range really) and won't have a buyer's remorse of being pigeon holed into a loadout type for a mech. If you want to use UACs at all on an Adder you'd want the ADR-C for its So8 after all. 3:30 a map square is around 500m^2, 400m seismic covers almost all of it yeah. 22:00 Wolfhounds, the 1A should've been recommended with its strong laser duration quirks and heat quirks. Also not mentioning the Grinner being able to afford stealth armor is rather poor breakdown of it. 1:04:00 Summoner B has +top speed on its CT as a quirk, that's worth mentioning if you're not playing one So8. 1:20:00 +5% energy range So8 on the Exe-M is just a weak excuse to buy it over any other variant. This is like recommending buying the MLX-G when you can just get the MLX-D and use the G's arm and ST omnipods, even if it's technically the best way to run said loadout, you're just better off buying another one unless you have too much hangar slots. 1:23:00 The discussion around Highlander seems to be downplaying LRM poptarts with target decay, some people don't take R.Deprivation, and using jump jets to spot for your own LRM poptart is free damage with minimum counter fire even if it's really just whatever damage farming. 1:28:30 Anyone can really just substitute the Mad2-Alpha for King Crab-000B, unless you really need the JJs.
He have some guides for how to actual prioritize what you buy and what to play, albeit a bit outdated it tells you of hardpoints and examples of builds and so on. Lights, Mediums, Heavys and Assaults have separate videos. Mostly focus on Hero-variants in some but great info in well... all of them.
TTB's daily video tells you how to play no matter the team most often. ...and hopefully TTB wont get mad when I tell you Baradul don't go for the best results for posting, more towards showing his purpose of the build he plays, to win the game no matter his own matchscore. Both are German and can co-exist since they angle it soo different! :P
I'm experimenting with the KFX Purifier with 8 Small Pulse Lasers recently, has a bit of laser quirks with the omnipods needed to get all 8 energy hardpoints. Solo face tanked a Vapor Eagle one match and a Marauder another and won by just drilling through their CTs. But I'm still habituated to having ECM which this doesn't and need to work on my positioning more.
The comment about hit.reg, I think something might hickup on the server-side lately, have been so surprised several times both with hitreg and dmg numbers, i believe its when one is on the lower ping-side in the match. Like the game compensates and it hurts the ones with most divergent ping in the match.
For the Bounty Hunter 2, when you mentioned that you can do most builds with a standard engine, what engine rating are you running? I typically try to run it with a 300 engine to keep that 64.8 kph movement speed.
I haven`t picked an assault from the event yet, and OC is one of my options. I was thinking something like 2 snubs + 10 small lasers. what`s your build?
New player and wanted to make sure I wasn't buying something sub-par. Great video, very helpful to make sure I was capitalizing on money spent before the sale ends.
Any chance for current sale guide? The only mech from that list is Stalker and was wondering if there are any good choices now, like Zeus or something :)
TTB MY FRIEND! I have a mech request. A Fafnir Wrath with 3 MRM 20s, 1 SB Gauss, and 5 Medium Lasers. Use ECM, Endo Steel, 4 DHS (three in engine) and an LE 325. You can alpha for 100 dmg every 4.1 seconds, and you can do it up to 4 times in succsession before needing to cool down. It is absurd, quite frankly. It also gets a shield arm containing only 1 medium laser, on the same side as the Sb gauss (meaning you only have 20 percent of your damage on the shield side) so it lasts forever. You might also have to shave a bit of leg armor off.
Never underestimate how much of an asset you will be to your team for simply being something as mundane as actual sensor recon, narc, and tag. Never underestimate your tiny little mech if it is shooting a larger mech from behind while your large mech team member is shooting it from the front. Heat gauges are OP, and remember a clanner mech is a spicy mech! Clanners are secretly cold blooded, so make sure to keep them nice and toasty. They'll thank you later for assuring they won't be so cold.
Hey, TTB. I'd like to get back into MWO. Been off the game for a few months. I had struggles pushing past tier 3 into tier 2 (I keep bouncing back out immediately), and I think it's because I play too many different types of mechs and don't focus on being good at just one first. I aim okay, I don't move very well in the lighter mechs, yet... In fact, I get a hand cramp just trying. lol Have you got any good advice for a particular style of play or weapon type/mech type for solo play rank climbing? I do okay with map awareness, not amazing, just okay. I have played the most games in a Thanatos Hangover, but I can't decide on a best configuration. I've tried lots of them. Currently I think I have it fitted with 2 ERPPC and 3 ERML, though I'd have to look again, since it's been a while. Is that okay, or just bad? It seems to be doing the best for me, regardless. Cheers, and thanks for all the fun videos all the time! I forgot to mention, there are several maps I am just absolutely clueless on. I have map awareness, but those maps really still confound me, in terms of remembering distances and likely ambush spots.
No, the damage reduction is specifically for 'mechs with "doors" over their missiles. It's also the 'mech's left torso (which does not protrude up over the cockpit/head), not the one on your left as you're watching the video.
i wish PGI add the another Clan Annihilator with exclusive Turtle shell bolt-on. if Gauss Zilla exist, he need his buddy the Wub Mera (like Godzilla and Gamera in Japanese Kaijuu popularity)
This game is not pay to win. We're recommending to not use MC (which is mostly paid for, unless you only use MC from event rewards) and buy through the store instead so people get access to the battlepass which they would not get with a MC purchase. People would miss out on GSP, bolt-ons, cockpit items, warhorns, paintjobs or actual Omnipods in case of the Executioner.
I suppose I will share my secret Shadowcat build, the enlightened way to play shadowcats tbh... and yes, I have gotten some very good games on this build. A=9D
I genuinely didn’t expect this video to come out, and already spent all my C-Bills and MC LOL
Not me frantically finishing all my legendary mech passes for cbills

What would be good NARC support mechs?
Would there be any point to mixing LMGs and APGauss on the Warthog to take advantage of the MG range and spread quirks?
Staring weapons and pin-point projectiles don't really mix very well.
The best assault or mech from other class for missile boat?
WHM - 2 HGauss and 2 Sml XPulse... on a STD eng... its actually a face tanking bomb, Or swap for Flamers for Lols.

Try the osiris 1p with small xpulses. impossible sustained dps

So what's different in comp that makes ECM less useful?
People have eyes. It sounds like a troll answer but it's the truth.
@@TTBprime I guess the full answer is also good coms among the whole team (discord), to immediately communicate what those eyes see. I see.
