I love your new sewing machine! She’s a beauty!!!! New machines take a little adjustment time,,, it will be fine. Congratulations!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤠🌵😎👸🦸🏻♀️👩🏼💻👍🏻😘🙏
Awesome! I can ask you questions when I need help. After using it this weekend I can see why you love it. The features it has for the money is unbelievable and it feeds your fabric through so nice. I just need to get the bobbin tension corrected.
Nice machine. You will get to know it. Your channel must be monetized now there was ad in it. Congratulations on reaching those milestones. Keep growing!
Thank you Carmen, I've been playing with it all weekend and it's to know it. Yes, my channel has been monetized! :) I'm so excited, I started handing out my autography to my grandkids. lol
When you said you were going to get a cup for your spool off thread, I thought you'd come back with a Mason jar, I used a Mason jar for my large spools before I got a thread stand. Also the metal lever behind your machine is a knee lift, that controls your sewing foot lever if you use that it'll work your pressure foot. Also before you give up grab a spools of regular thread and try that. Also just double check your threading. You'll figure it out.
Oh no, Granny, I can’t believe yours has tension issues too! What the heck! Maybe it’s just not having the spool on the spool pin. Fingers crossed it’s just that, I bet it is. On mine, you still have to press the reverse button to do the automatic back stitch when you’re done stitching. Idk what’s up with the presser foot, that’s odd. Read the manual and play with it this weekend...keep us updated and good luck!
I know, I hope it works it's self out. So far it hasn't but everything else on this machine is a dream and I love it. I'll play with it some more and give an update on it. Thank you!
Enjoy your new machine. It does help to read the manual or watch a tutorial for basic instructions before using it. You might've enjoyed the experience a bit better. Going in blind is never good. 😉
Does your machine also create an ugly nest undernearh when u first start sewing after using the trimmer? I have the same machine and was surprised it didnt have a clean looking sew compared to my old singer Quantum 😄
I think you have to hit reverse for it to tie off.and continue Sewing. It will stop after it does the tie off. Check your tension with a different brand of thread.
You definitely need to read your manual...I feel your dissatisfaction...keep your fingers crossed..and by large it's the feeding of the top thread, you will need to get a cone thread spool holder. And may I ask what brand is your other machine ? And that was one of the most honest review I've seen in the longest while.
Yes, your right :) after spending the weekend reading and play and watching youtube videos I got a few things figured out. I love this machine but the tension remains a problem. My very expensive machine is a Brother Dream Machine 2 Innov-ís XV8550D Comparing the two at feeding the fabric through, the Juki wins!
Dear Granny, please check out some of the tutorials of how to load your threads properly. It supposed to be a wonderful machine. There is a lock thread button (second button above the green light button), maybe press it before and after would help. Also it has one button lowering your foot (second to the right of your cut thread button). I am researching of this machine before my purchase, and hopefully the information helps you improve your experience of this machine! Don't give up on it yet. I'm just new to sewing and understand there is always a bit of learning curve for adapting to new machines. Love from Hong Kong.
You must have a user manual? If not you may have to go online and print a copy. I prefer to buy from a shop where I get hands- on instruction. After all, we're not technicians!
Yes take it back, I purchased mine online and will never do that again. I feel the tension is a little better. I purchased better thread but haven't had time to use it or my machine lately. My animals have taken up a lot of my time. Sorry I've taken so long to answer you. Have a wonderful weekend :)
Nice machine! My Juki DDl 8700 had issues too ,but I think mine was user error, I always have a learning curve when I get a new machine :/ This time It was the bobbin I had to loosen the screw. I hope you get it sorted out! If not maybe contact them?
I have this machine and it is AWESOME, and EASY TO USE IF YOU READ THE MANUAL FIRST. You obviously have not read the MANUAL. You've already done so many things wrong. PLEASE READ THE MANUAL before you break it. There is nothing wrong with the machine.
It sure is a learning curve and your correct I didn't read the manual. but in all fairness to me, I think the tension should have worked from the get go. That's the only thing that gave me problems. Thanks for the advice :)
Sorry you are a little disappointed. This machine has very good ratings. First thing that comes to mind is the way the top thread is feeding. With the thread feeding from below (in a cup), it might be pulling and causing the thread to feed improperly thus sewing tight. Try a spool thread in the spool holder on the machine or use a cone spool holder (found at Amazon). Both of these will feed the thread from high. Just a thought.
Thank for the tips Jeri, I will be purchasing a thread stand. After playing with it this weekend I'm really liking all it does. I'm sure the tension is the operators error.
I definitely would use a standard spool of thread before I was concerned about the tension! I’ve learned that threading is way more important than I’d first realized. Eons ago I bought a thread stand from Atlanta Thread, which is now Wawak. It has a metal base and I use it all the time because I often use the larger cones from Wawak. Here’s the current thread stand Wawak offers: www.wawak.com/Sewing/Sewing-Machine-Accessories/Machine-Accessories/1-cone-thread-stand-16/?sku=PRT6012 . It has a plastic base instead of a metal one, but it’s basically what I use (and couldn’t live without). A thread stand can also prove helpful sometimes when using topstitching and metallic threads. Secondly, I would recommend you find a video from a sewing machine store that gives an overview of how to use your machine. Here’s one ruclips.net/video/jx23U0sZyDg/видео.html that walks you through some of the processes. There are probably many out there. Several years ago I bought a new brand of machine and boy did I have a learning curve! I still go back and watch videos on my machine on occasion if I need to “refresh” my memory. Please try not to get too discouraged. Think of it like you would of getting a new phone. It takes a while to learn all the new features and how to use them. I wish you the best of luck with your new machine.
Congratulations on your new machine! Don't give up without reading the manual.
Thanks Connie, it's been a productive weekend playing and reading all about it. It a great little machine with so many great features.

Enjoy that new machine Sherrie. Have a great time getting to know it.

Hi Mari, it truly is a good little machine! Thank you :)
Wow. Looks awesome. Great toy. Enjoy it

Yes! I was surprise too :( Was told to hold the top & bottom thread when I start sewing. I wouldn't think it would do that.
I think you have to hit reverse for it to tie off.and continue Sewing. It will stop after it does the tie off. Check your tension with a different brand of thread.

@@GrannysSowingRoom from what I have read... It is the one icky that most of them have.. the tension... Is it automatic tension?

It came with a manual, plus I had the Tech on the phone. Something was just wrong with it. They have it back looking at it now.
I'm having the same problems!! I need to take it back ASAP, was wondering if you got the tension to work?

@@GrannysSowingRoom you might want to call them. You could've got a lemon?
You can purchase a thread stand which attaches to DX7 … about €70 and mentioned on Juki Junkies RUclips video dated 3 April 2022
