This is real China has multiple of these vertical mountain trails. There is metal railing attached along the route where you need to attach your rope with hook.
Nowhere near the most dangerous hike. most dangerous ones are probably Grand teton via owen spalding, or Mt Yamnuska. Even thought the matterhorn is considered a mountaineering route, a good amout of people scramble it so thats also an option. You are also roped in on that hike, if you fall you wont die.
