Interesting to see that the pump actually INCREASED flow rate slightly with some resistance/pressure on it. Could see the needle climb roughly 1 gpm...
Have you ever notice a difference when installing your needle/flow valve on the input side vs. the output side of your flow meter. I’ve seen it done both ways. Generally I always install my valve on the output side.
Although there will theoretically be some amount of pressure loss through the flow meter, the effect is negligible compared to the pressured being measured here so no, installing the valve upstream or downstream from the flow meter does not produce any noticeable difference.
Thanks for taking the trouble to record the Press & Flo as simply as that: may have been a good idea to have had a MotorTacho to get the feel of it. Such is the rubbish from some experts about increasing speeds etc. Now tell me this, How much POWER is absorbed on idle and at max steering ? Noone seems to understand that the Fanbelt has to deliver all that + Generator and Cooling, etc .... So where's all the viewers? U need to raise your profile ! youtube can be funny! Thanks for your efforts Slàinte mhath
Nicely demonstrated & explained. New subscriber.
Great stuff! Looking forward to more tech!
where can i get a flow and pressure gauge set up like yours????
Hello did you build that flow and pressure gauge setup or is there a kit similar to it for testing.

Maybe its my serp belt causing sloppy steering?
