If you're mounting high on the door, why flip it so the cable outlets are pointing up? Presumably from that position people will be pulling down or at least downwards and out?
Hello Stefan, you have a good question. When the MAXPRO is mounted in the upper position using our EZ mount door brackets with the strap running through the top slat, and the cables on the MAXPRO are pointing up, this stabilizes the brackets with their non-slip backing to push and hold on to the door better and reduces bracket rocking movement. But when the brackets are mounted in a low door position, it's basically the opposite… strap runs through bottom slats, and MAXPRO cables point down. However, if you are using two of our ratchet straps simultaneously, running through both the top and bottom slats of the brackets, then you would have stability regardless of the direction of the cables and how the MAXPRO is mounted. Sorry for the long answer, but I hope it helps answer your question
@MAXPRODetroit I believe you misunderstood his question. In the video, the person put the MaxPro on the door bracket with the pulley hooks for the handles facing upwards instead of down, which is the direction you would be pulling. I think that was just an error on the demonstrator's part.
Hello, Everyday Clips! Thank you for reaching out. We do not sell spacers for mounting brackets. But you can reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@maxprofitness.com. They will offer an alternative solution to your situation right away. We hope to hear from you soon. Stay safe!
Not sure if this is still being monitored but this doesn't seem to work as well on doors with a much more depth in the opening. My dials are right against the outer trim.
You can always put the Door mount on the other side of the door, it isn't ideal but it should work. If you need help, drop our customer support a line! they'd love to help.
Then I'd be inside of my closet or bathroom lol. It's all good. I have my wall mount in my gym. Just wanted to take it upstairs one day and it didn't work well on my doors.
Hello, debc43, Thank you for reaching out. Please get in touch with our customerservice@maxprofitness.com team, and they will be able to help you get a door mount. I hope this information helps. Stay safe.
Hi Michael. It does make a difference when mounting it on the door. You want the cables to pull out at the direction we note in the video and the instructional manual because of where the strap is and where the force is applied. It makes the MAXPRO more secure to the door. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Hello @leeforspeed, I'm sorry that you lost your door guard bracket. Our team is happy to assist you. Please reach out to customerservice@maxprofitness.com. I hope to hear from you soon. Stay safe.
would this be safe to use on a glass door with a wood frame? locking mechanism/handle/hinges are all part of and attached to a wood frame about 2 inches wide and then a frosted glass center...can i mount the door mount on this?
Hello there! The MAXPRO SmartConnect will always include a door mount! You can check our www.maxprofitness.com store and review more information. Feel free to reach out to our customerservice@maxprofitness.com for any additional assistance. I hope this information helps; stay safe!
Hello Christine, Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with closing your door. Try mounting the door without the door guards. It should allow you to complete it. If, after trying this, you are still experiencing any difficulties, Please reach out to our customerservice@maxprofitness.com for more instructions. I hope this helps. Stay safe.
Do yourself a favor, get some duct tape, loop it around itself so the sticky side is facing out, place all 4 pieces on the door in the proper configuration, then route the strap through. You do need to remove the tape before you tighten it all the way or much later the tape will fuse to the paint and strip it.
Hello John, Thank you for reaching out. The Door Mount System is a reliable system. And another strap would provide even more stability when working out. If you wish to add a second one, there is no problem; an additional 1” ratchet straps can be bought pretty inexpensively at your local hardware store. Hope this helps. :)

The cables should point up if mounted in the middle of the door!

Hi Robin, we honestly wouldn't recommend mounting over a glass door. That doesn't sound too safe.
Does the door nounts come with the maxpro? Or is it a separate item?
