you forgot to mention the fact that the byakugan, like the sharingan, also enhances your vision's sharpness, visual info processing speed, and reactiong time. all of which make you *much* better at hand to hand fighting, not to mention that the byakugan's 'basic' visual perks are even stronger than the sharingan's
Also you can use it to enhance genjutsu like kaguuya did with the infinite tsukuyomi.

The reason they spin is because the force not only blocks but repels attacks, plus chakra points are small and close but if they didn’t then certain things like senbon and chakra threads could still get to them. The rotation offers complete protection. On a side note I’m super pissed at how Neji didn’t get to speak to his father when he was reaanimated during the war!
Rotation isn't needed to stop the attack, but the rotation knocks it back with force. Neji blocked Naruto's punches without spinning, simply exerting chakra.
With the cruel past of the Hyuga clan, I can't in good faith say they are a great honorable clan. They treated Neji and his father like a resource to cull. The blood is still on Hinata's fathers hands.
He volunteered his life because they look the same and once his father died his Byakugan would be sealed and unreadable, Hinatas father wouldn't have sealed his when he died, so the hidden cloud would be able to get vital information about the hyuga clan once he died, but since nejis father volunteered they couldn't get anything out of his eyes or mind. The hidden cloud tried to kidnap Hinata to start a war then when they got killed they demanded Hinatas father be killed because they tried to act like they didn't do anything. Really fucked up on the hidden clouds part imo.
No clan is free from sin. We feel sorry for Neji and his father because we know them, but this is a tradition that has gone on for hundreds of years that everyone in Kanoha was aware of. Well, at least the high ranking shinobi.

But people were scared of their fuinjustu, so they were wiped out as a result. If anything, it's tragic. But that's off the top of my head, I'm at work rn, lol
@@purplecubeman01 As far as we know, sure, but that was the family secret they were trying to protect. The Uchiha have a similar "blind thirsty" past with even more reason for people wanting their eyes. They just didn't have the same protection.

Slight correction I wanted to point out, Hagoromo did NOT have a Byakugan. He did have the traits of an Otsutsuki due to his direct birth to a full blooded Otsutsuki, but he did not have the Byakugan. Instead, the Byakugan was passed down to Hamura and Hagoromo inherited the Sharingan which is a watered down Rinnegan. (from Kaguya's Rinne-Sharingan to be exact) Hagoromo's inability to possess the Byakugan is made more apparent when he visited the Divine Tree and asked his brother, Hamura, to use his Byakugan and see underneath the Divine Tree. (EP 461 of Naruto Shippuden)
No. RinneSharingan is the chakra trees eye or center. Hagaromo inherited a weaker version.

So I actually like to believe the Kaguya Clan split off from the Hyuga It always kind of seems like these bloodlines split their powers in half when they separate and we never see the sage of 6 paths using bones as a weapon.

I’m still wondering why the Hyuga and Uchiha didn’t mix bloodlines to give them both Byakugan and Sharingan. That new clan would be the most overpowered in leaf, since they’d be able to see chakra points, all the way around them and be able to copy ninjutsu, have powerful genjutsu, have faster reaction speeds plus unlock the mangekyo sharingan.
The hyuga was held as a powerful and amazing citizens and the uchia were held as villainous and evil and the hyuga also believed that so they didn't mix due to the hyuga's pride
You forget that before villages formed, clans didn’t have the best relationships. This was the warring states period. The leaf is basically full of clans that are allied but not close. Plus, these clans have their own cultures and backgrounds spanning over thousands of years. Also, idk if the Uchiha clan would take kindly to being disciplined with “curse seals”.

As far as not needing to rotate, isn't that how neji managed to move the trajectory of the arrow from the sound 4 spider guy? When he tanked the arrow he said he changed the trajectory to make it miss any vital spots. So I'd think the rotation just gives his chakra more force to push things away

You have the timeline of the 3rd ninja war slightly wrong, it ended when Minato was alive, this means that it was more than 12 years before Naruto takes place, Hinata wasn't born yet and neither was Naruto. Kakashi was 12 during the war (recently promoted to Jonin and forced to take Minato's place) and 14/15 when the fox attacked. So the 3rd ninja war started more than 14 years before Naruto, and ended at least 12 years before Naruto.
I was confused at first when he said Naruto was 4-5 when the 3rd great ninja war came to an end because that would mean Naruto grew up with his dad and would see him become the 4th hokage. Like he says tho he’s not perfect. Honest mistake.

That is the one thing that always bugged me. 8 trigrams rotation is never explored. It's clearly a strong ability but we never see uses of it other than spinning.
In the anime when Neji is fighting Naruto he starts using it before he spins which was a cool application. By doing that, hr caught Naruto and his clones in mid air then spinned to send them flying.
During that fight he also reflected Naruto's chakra back at him. It's such a powerful ability that should definitely have more applications but it gets thrown to side unfortunately.

@@AmHotGarbage I'm not sure if you watched the full video, but NC literally talks about how the ability is performed by shooting out chakra from the 360 tenketsu points in the body so why can't they do the same thing but in blasts.
Even if you don't think that's possible, I don't think you fully read my original post. One of the things I talked about is how in the Anime, Neji used his rotation to catch Naruto in mid air. He wasn't spinning when he started. He blocked Naruto's punch with the chakra he ejected from his face while also emitting chakra around Naruto and his clone then he spun to send them flying.
It makes sense that they are able to do that but we never see it again. There are so many different jutsu that can be derived from the ability to shoot out tangible chakra from any point in your body but all they do is eject chakra from every point and spin to counter attacks.

Spinning adds yet another force of repulsion. So not only do you have the external pressure of chakra but you also have the rotational pressure as well. So it BLOCKS as well as REFLECTS incoming attacks
Also don't forget that by spinning it helps hide their one blind spot

About the Kaiten, it probably wouldn’t make a Hyuga dizzy. Having a 360 degree field of vision in focus (unlike us who have a cone of vision in focus with a wider peripheral view) would basically make them immune to becoming dizzy (at least from spinning). The only effect would have would probably be (from their pov) that their blind spot would rotate around their vision, but spinning at 750 mph would basically erase their blind spot.
I can’t back this up scientifically, but this is my head-canon for the Hyuga. Hope you like my take :)

Hyuga clan had enough strong Otsutuki gene that prevailed over human gene that they managed to maintain the ORIGINAL eye/Otsutsuki Byakugan (ofcors eintermingling with cousins/within their clan is one of the reasons why the gene didnt further mutate) unlike other clans wich had many mingles with others causig human gene to overtake teh Otsustuki gene casuing mutation and loss of many Otsutuki abilities.And the rumors that were given in beggining of the series when kakshi said that there is a belief that Sharingan came from Byakugan became partialy true bcs Sharingan as we all know is a mutation of the genes/dna mix of Otsutuki, 10 Tails and Human genome/dna wich when mutated created sharingan that over centuries same as byakugan slowly deminished over time due to human genom/dna takong over but certain clans Hyuga,Uchiha retained SOME of the strongest features from Utsutuki/ 10 Tails or mix of both by sticking within the clan nad not further diluting/no further pure human genome/dna influences.
A Hyuga member with either Sage Mode, The Hundred Healings Seal, or the 8 Gates would have been broken (especially with Sage Mode).
A Hyuga already specialize in speed and precision, adding the 8 Gates on top of it would be overkill against most people.
With the Hundred Healings Seal, they would have a stupid amount of chakra to use to spam their jutsu. Imagine a Hyuga being able to spam Air Palm, Rotation, and 64 Palms. They would also have an easier time with mastering it since Hyugas are naturally gifted with great chakra control. If Hinata had it, she could use Twin Lion Fists (which absorb chakra on contact) to continuously replenish it in a fight.
A Sage Mode Hyuga sounds like one of the scariest things to face in the series. Having near 360 long ranges x-ray vision on top of the sensory buff granted by sage mode means no one could have from them. All of their jutsu would be enhanced with sage chakra, making them even more deadly. The range of their gentle fist would increase. When they use the gentle fist, they could, in theory, inject sage chakra instead of their own chakra to slowly turn someone into a stone frog (assuming they can't control nature energy, which most people can't). Going back to Hinata, while she is in sage mode, and if she decided to use the Twin Lion Fist, not only would she not be using her own chakra, but she would constantly be restoring it as well.
That’s not how it works. Gentle Fist Twin Lion Step does drain chakra from tenketsu points that are struck but it’s not confirmed that chakra is given to the user, but even if it was hypothetically this wouldn’t extend the length of the technique, and actually might be detrimental. Sage Mode is dependent upon their being a balance between the spiritual, physical, and nature energies within the body of the user. If Hinata was to amass large amounts of chakra by striking tenketsu points while fighting there’d be an imbalance of physical, and spiritual energy in comparison to the nature energy which would result in the loss of Sage Mode.

I feel like we need to see the Hyuga have some ability to control tailed beasts. Of the clans directly descended from Kaguya we’ve seen 3 of them have a clan specific ability to do so or produce a member who can. The Uzumaki have the chains. The Uchiha have used the sharingan. The Senju have used the wood release. So what would the Hyuga clan be able to do?
Since tailed beasts are basically chakra the hyuga are the only ones who can see Chakra points to the most precise degree so maybe they could shut down the Chakra points of tailed beast or disturb their Chakra flow enough to control them even while the tailed beast is aware of it but the only downside is they have to be in contact with it for this to be most effective, although still possible to shutdown the Chakra points without contact, with special byakugan only techniques that can be only used by strongest byakugan eyes. I think this would be cool

Btw, Hamura later gets the Tenseigan if I’m not mistaken. This was referenced in Naruto: The Last. Hamura’s conversation with Hinata clears this up that a Byakugan can evolve.
So A wanted Hinata to be killed and her eyes. He was the Raikage at that time. I think that Neji or Hinata never were angry at A or B for that, is strange. They are the reason Neji lost his father. I always wanted that to have a scene where A at least confessed this sin.

the hyuga CAN infact shoot cahkra out from individual tenketsu: we see neji do that in his fight against naruto, and in his fight against kidomaru. however: remeber that you can only shoot out of certain *points*, that means that in order to get coverage of a significant are of your body, you *have* to rotate. also, rotation covers up their blind spot, but that's a pretty negligible point imo

Great video as always. A correction required here is about the term 'Swastika' mentioned in the video. Swastika is an Indian religious symbol derived from the Sanskrit word 'Swasti' that is composed of two words 'Su' (good) + 'Asti' (there is) which literally translates to 'good' 'there is'. It basically signifies these four - good luck, success, health and prosperity, which are represented by the four arms in the Swastika.
The notoriously popular 'Hakenkreuz' or the 'Hooked Cross' was used by the Nazis (often confused with 'Swastika') which if you read about is actually the opposite of what 'Swastika' signifies.
This curse seal could easily be implemented to be used in the interrogation core making the juts up of the hyuga a lot more useful. Also just give the flying raijin cause I want to see 8 trigrams 1024 palms
A hyuga with flying raijin is just unfairly OP. Instant teleport and one touch deaths with no weapons in hand just the kunai at littered around their feet. That would be scary as hell because even Minato needed a weapon.

Correct, but even though the world war was over, doesn’t necessarily mean that hostility/skirmishes between the the Cloud and the Leaf were over.
With the Hyuga, I'd also like to see them use nature and shape transformations from their chakra points, firing off justsu in any direction. It would be great for counters. I think the byakugan should also assist the user in learning how to mould different chakra natures, given they can see it happening inside other people. Hyuga should have an advantage in learning the 5 basic natures and even kekkei genkai. It would be a cool parallel to the sharingan which allows movement to be seen and understood/ copied.

If Uchiha descend from Indra, and Uzumaki and Senju From Asura, then considering that Kaguyu preceeded the Kaguyu Clan then is it not arguable that Hamura is the Kaguyu Clans ancestor...question is....how far back does it start and that raises a point Hagoromo inherited the physical aspect of his mom but wouldn't Hamura have inherited the spiritual side? This is pretty easy to argue by comparing Sharingan and Byakugan

The Uzumaki Clan isn’t Leaf, they had a relationship with the Uzumaki’s village.

They actually explore your chakra shooting theory slightly in the anime. Neji states the chakra seeps out and the rotation gives it the power to repel due to the centripetal motion. I always took it as the chakra would just ooze out of him if he didn’t spin much like nunchucks

I know im late but the "Sticks" thing gets me eveytime. Neji's headband was hit off by those "sticks" while he was performing Revolving Heaven. Meaning that even if he did use it when he blocked Hinata from it it would still hit and kill him OR he would rotate it around and it would still hit Hinata and Naruto who he jumped in front of to protect. So it was either Neji died or Hinata and Naruto dies. I agree still bad writing but yeah. His rotation couldn't stop it and Hiashi said that their Vacuum Palms couldn't either. It also could've been a "My body just moved" moment like when Sasuke saved Naruto from Haku's ice senbon. Or like when Naruto teased him during the start of their fight with Kaguya when he explained that Sasuke's body "just moved" without thinking and saved not just Naruto but also Sakura and Kakashi. But I digress. Point is... no matter what Neji did when he jumped in front of Hinata and Naruto. NONE of his jutsu would've saved him from the "Sticks". Sorry for the aggressive tone... Thay whole argument just bothers me. Im also a big Hyuga and Byakugan fan so call me biased. 😅

you're slightly wrong about gentle fist: gentle fist is primarily used to damage internal organs. now, a skilled/powerful enough byakugan user can see tenketsu and thus strike at them, however not all of them can. remember in the neji vs hinata fight how both kakshi and hinata were surprised by neji's ability to see tenketsu? that's what i'm talking about

It s a pity that Kishimoto did not give Hyuga clan power ups like Sharingan can you imagine a batlle betwen Sasuke and Neji one using Sharingan and other using Byakugan.

The eight gates are the key most foremost Chakra points.
Valves in the Chakra system. That can open or close. To restrict or enhance flow.
Other points don't function like that.
You could think of the other points as similar to a long hose with holes.
And the gates to shut the water down or open it up to those different hoses.
Chakra points realize Chakra like the holes would do for the water.
But the gates control the pressure.
However that said if all the points could function in that way.
The power would be ludicrous well above the gates.
Open the gates is just 8 points of 361 that leaves 353 unopened.

Think of this Uchiha use fire style. Sasuke could do it maybe ten times in prt 1. But if a point in throat was forced open.
The jutsu may very well become super charged. However. They may lose control of it. Or become exhausted quiker

The Hyuga say they are the strongest in the leaf because they are stronger than the average uchiha member. Sasuke, Madara, Itachi, Shisui etc. are just exceptions who have gained the mangekyo sharingan
Think of clans as sort of semi ethnic groups in naruto. Because two clan members can both have the last name uchiha and not be related in a familial sense. So naruto and hinata being cousins isn’t really that true. Clans are not one huge family. I believe the leaders are most likely related. Madara being related to sasuke in one huge family line.
