Yo, Volvo really stepped up their game in the design aspects because the trucks used to look very plain but now they look really, really good

I specked out a Kenworth t680 the other day and according to their build software their 8 bag suspension was actually a little lighter than their 4 bag. Not sure how, but that was according to their system.

What about overall length of the trucks.

ARI has said the Volvo trucks are lighter than the others. Keep in mind that newer suspension could also just be an option and you don't have to order it. I'd like to know how much smoother the ride is, if at all.

How about the wheelbase? The others are alot longer. The last one was a shorts wb.

Man that new Volvo is sharp, it’s wild how narrow it is. It looks anorexic from any ordinary truck. I love how innovative it is, like raising the suspension up real high. Things like that will come in handy for these jerk customers who drop trailers 3 feet above any fifth wheel height. I never understood why they jack them so high into the air when they have lift trucks. My only guess is to drain the blood from meat loads. It’s beyond annoying to crank these trailers down so far

With all the moving parts, Kenworth 8-bag air suspension was a colossal fail.

      Why is that?

That extra weight is bad for bulk hauling..

So about 1500 to 2000lb heavier then old style.

@@user-ln7of9gs4sactually he got point…..it wouldn’t work with most reefers

@@gabrielf4448 there is no point. If you’re going to make a comment, then explain your reasoning. The poster failed to explain.

@@user-ln7of9gs4s thing is that most load going into refrigerated trailer (reefer) can’t be cut or shortened because of order or due weight restriction therefore if truck is too heavy by itself then driver won’t be able to take whole load order on trailer meaning he will lose that load and be forced to find lighter load….that’s why when you buy new truck that will be pulling reefer you have to make sure that truck is not too heavy…. I would specs truck with GVW to be in range of 19,000-19,500 lbs….t

And There Is A HUGE WHEELBASE DIFFERENCE, White Is Much Longer.
Volvo Has ALWAYS BEEN A HEAVY TRUCK... Steel Cab CAN PASS The EUROPEAN CRASH WORTHINESS STANDARD. NO AMERICAN OEM CAN.
    Steel Cab.
And ALL THAT PLASTIC SHIT IS HEAVY 🤔
