Awesome! Homemade Drill Press ( scrape strut and gear )

This press has worked like a charm for my projects ruclips.net/user/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with.This was an excellent purchase for $40!!

Nowadays I Rebuild homemade drill press and add two pulleys to the motor and spindle this is much better than the previous time used the motor and chuck directly.
Now I'm stuck to finish my lathe because no items were found here. The most handmade-made but in this time I do need some.

Thank you for your patience and comment it is handy to work but I don't like the speed of the motor quite a bit fast I should be looking lower speed.

​@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 look into getting a variable speed controller. A decent one is about $20 US. You can control the motors rotation output and maintain a good amount of torque. Much easier than rigging pulleys.

My is not good your asking but used motor technology Japan a kind of machine for drill press 750rpm I think it fast.
Now I am busy new build lathe. When I finish lathe I will change this motor if possible.

I do happy to exploit this drill press and it helped my workshop continue the next machine. I will repair it someday with a motor drill press because the speed is so fast that I am going to replace another motor and work with pulley it sound of my plan yet. My concern about the spindle to keep the chuck it going to work or not.

I am so glad for your comment and I really appreciated for your suggested. I’m sure that I want to make everything is good but I feel is not perfect at all because I’m not a good film and editor all thing I did by myself no one help especially I don’t have a good equipment. I knew music was loud because around my house and my village supper crazy noisy and I want to speak but my English very poor. I have more diy ideas to build some more machines but the problem is equipment and some tools never founded, like my drill press is not easy looking some if found cost so expensive.
I appreciated your offer info I will try the best if I can.
