Terri is still amazingly beautiful
I met Steve the second day of the festival.
He stopped by my father's Commodore 64 booth. Yes that's right apple actually let in the competition. That's how proud they were.
The 2nd US festival turned ugly compared to the 1st one. Some bad people had mixed in and cars were towed away and law enforcement was on horseback restoring order. 1st one was great, I love warm/hot weather.
Thank You Terri for putting this together, What an education. I was in Jr. High and I wasn't allowed to go but today, I am watching the show, this... not quit the same... but I am hopeful, to be part of making something this amazing again. It's been 28 years in the making. The world is in need. Woodstock and the Summer Of Soul, revisited. I'll call is De Cades.... see you there.
Yes we all miss the 80's.
An unusual time but an amazing decade. I didn’t live through that period but I always have weird nostalgia for it, thanks to monumental event like this. Long live the 80’s!!!

That festival was S SO incredible that it seems just wrong & messed up that there isnt a nice 4 disc dvd package available.
I remember a bunch of huge cameras up on a hill in the back of where the audience was facing the stage and they seemed to be filming the entire time so I've wondered what happened to all that filming that was done. It's April 17th 2023 now at the time of this comment.

I don't see why it couldn't be a miniseries on Apple Plus or Showtime (who aired the US Fests) but the music rights wrangling is probably a nightmare. I think Jimmy Kimmel was producing a KROQ documentary (which I'm sure Richard's in as well as Terri) but haven't heard anything about it in 5 years.
