Price it out over 5 years and the subscription means either 1. you pay the cash in which case the Mevo+ is a better option that will hold its value better or 2. don’t pay the cash and you are better off getting the Garmin r10 for cheaper…. Companies that demand a yearly fee for unlocking “on box” functionality shouldn’t be encouraged. It’s as bad as car companies demanding a yearly fee to unlock seat warmers or performance. If I pay maintenance then I should get the new features and cloud storage - that’s ok. If I don’t, then I miss out, but a partial rental plan for a launch monitor is taking the piss.
I have one and I think people are being blinded by the subscription. The MEVO+ is the only sub 5000 dollar launch monitor that is comparable and the pro edition that has the same features may not have a subscription, but costs $3500 cdn. I would have to run my MLM2 pro for 9 years to equal the cost of a Mevo+. To each their own but to me the subscription is almost like a finance plan as it keeps the initial cost down which is the biggest stumbling blocks for people look in LMs. The Garmin is definitely the best overall value but it is clearly a rung below the MLM2 and the Mevo+

I just don’t think hardware manufacturers should be able to hold their customers to ransom for on box features that cost them nothing to provide. I don’t care about the cloud storage stuff. Stick another 200-400 on the initial price and be honest about it. Then if people want to get updates they can charge for those if they really want to but it’s poor practice imho

I know without premium the E6 Connect provides free access to 5 courses with the Rapsodo, which you can upgrade for a fee. Also Awesome Golf is available but only on a 14 day free trial. 👍🏌️♂️
Without a subscription, you might as well buy a $200 voice caddy or mevo. Spend 600 and don't get to use the majority of its features. Get F#cked Rapsodo! R10 is more responsibly priced Subscription, but SC4 has no Subscription but only one course and driving range

Is there a significant difference in carry distance with or without the subscription, meaning with or without the second camera?
Not from my testing. The spin metrics are paywalled and the second camera also allows slow motion replay. 👍🏌️♂️
