I'm Filipino and this performance gave me literal CHILLS, even when the video had just started. We Filipinos should have more appreciation towards our own folk music and dance and perform them as proudly as other races do.
It's like Harry Potter and Hermione singing paru parung bukid 😂😍 welcome to Hogwarts

Would’ve given this a standing ovation for sure if I was part of the audience. Moved me to tears as a Filipino.
Sad part is only a few filipinos know this existed because of all that Cras Cras memes, TikTok, Toxicity and many more
I was part of a choir in 2nd grade. I really had a hard time at
"Paga-pagaspas" but now it's all so clear.

Pano niyo po nalamang onti lang nakakaalam nito
This is taught in elementary music, no? Sa experience ko lang. I thought that was a DepEd curriculum.
I'm sad to say that I'm not introduced to this songs anymore and I'm pretty bad at my own language aswell.

When the teacher makes us sing traditional songs they expect us to sing as well as in the video, but the reality is *VOICE CRACKS*
🤣🤣
The accent really sounds like Filiinos. It's cute.
Damn, if only we foster Filipino songs even more, they would recognize these masterpieces more and worldwide.
OMG! Foreign country sings our Filipino folk song. They sing it perfectly! They nailed it!
The best ever choir this group of singers could sing and sounded like Filipino. I would give them diamond 💎 award better than gold. Excellent performance 👏 good job 👍.
Thanks for all the kinds words, we truly worked especially hard on this piece of music and being the only Filipino in the choir at that time, it was extremely important for me to help guide my fellow choristers to not only represent our language in this piece but also our culture as a whole and to see them work tirelessly and embrace this piece wholeheartedly as their own made it that more special. We are all truly grateful for all the love we are receiving from this song! Maraming salamat po!
the fact that their filo accent is better than some students in the philippines is giving me chills as a 100% filo
Unless youre a tribesman youre definetly mixed this country has been colonized way too much
It's crazy how they sing it very well while me as a Filipino I don't even memorise the Lyrics😂
Me too lol
I'm 19 yrs old, still remember when I was in kindergarten I always buy folk songs book, or any 10 pesos books outside our school that is related to our history and tradition. And I'll read or sing it went we get home, over and over. And now I realized that I am different from the other children before. So yes, I am familiar to our folk songs and up until now I am still inlove with 'em❤️
Sounds like a Disney Background Music when animals are making a dress for a a regular girl that fell inlove with a Prince
It sounds like a music in frozen
I am a Filipino and am sooo amazed and teary eyed too seeing at how good these foreign youths sing a Filipino folk song.
Ok imma say this .....

Beatifully arrangement and singing! They seemed to enjoy this as much as we do Filipinos from childhood. Its a fun way of learning about and loving butterflies and nature. Mabuhay!!
I know exactly the lyrics and its context. This song is not about nature or butterfly. Its about a pre teen girl flirting. Described as like a butterfly wandering in a fields.
No. It's not about nature. Or butterflies. It actually tells the story of a beautiful woman looking very fancy as she shows off for her neighbors.
Pataka rapud ka!!! Paghilom wa kay ayo!!!
Haha it's not about nature lol. Literal talaga ha!

As someone who was in this choir (the little brown kid on the far right), this was in no small part thanks to one of our Senior Choristers who was Filipino making sure we didn't screw up in performance, though we did time and time again in practice.
