That was a highly enjoyable watch. I laughed out loud a couple of times and liked the d.i.y. mods involving the white plastic tubes all over the place. You are very different in the way you've inhabited your boat, not ostensibly 'boaty' people, but having an absolute blast just doing your own thing. I'm not a sailor even though I love watching boat content of all sorts.
Thanks for that tour you guys covered just about everything I could think of. I used to live aboard in the 70s and 80s on my 30 foot Erickson sloop hi boy with a delta Fin keel. I sailed it from San Francisco to the Big Island Hawaii in 1982. 23 days I only had one crew member that I hired out of a bar in Sausalito. ⛵️
Beautiful boat and a great tour! I don't think I've seen a better organized boat with this many amenities. Literally, nothing is missing compared to what people are used to on land, with all the advantages of a boat included. The fact that you started from a fairly modest budget, speaks volumes of your resourcefulness captain! Your boat rivals million dollar yachts when it comes to all the creature comforts included. Great job!
She's a good boat and a good crew (including the pooch), who seem totally capable of the job. It's certainly entertaining to watch and it's a free life style, which may well be the biggest plus. Enjoy yourselves, while showing others what they're missing. Kudos!
Thank you for the tour. A beautiful boat & well set up. I am currently fitting out my boat (Roberts 45 s/v Two Dogs) and i have come away from your tour with several good ideas. Thanks for sharing!
I've never seen a cargo net above your head in the bimini, and the diy hose caddy, very creative. I love seeing how people setup their things whether it be a wood shop or a beautiful awesome Morgan sailboat! Your boat is really really nice! Congrats on working hard and becoming a boat owner. I've owned two boats. If you buy a solid, well designed, properly maintained boat and you buy it right and take care of it you will not lose money....well, you won't lose much money! In my experience, a boat is not a hole in the water that you pour money into. I'm guessing that in your case you'll have the same experience as me, you won't lose much money when you sell it. If the price of new boats keeps going up sharply, then well maintained, used modern sailboats might increase in value. I can almost hear the laughter now, but I did include the word "might"!! When I go to the marina near my house I look at the nicest sailboat and think to myself, if the world ever descends into anarchy, I'm going to come get you and sail away!
Love it! I’m trying to figure out what boat I like for a partial live aboard and this Morgan is the best all around I’ve seen, especially the way you have it set up. Center cockpit is the way to go. I’m a marine surveyor but I stick to power boats because of my area. BTW if you blow an impeller I don’t think you have anywhere near 5-10min before serious damage could be done and even risk a fire if something flammable is touching the (normally water cooled) exhaust.
I don't know alot about sail boats but , when I was in Bimini doing some scuba diving there was a Morgan at the dock that was from Wilmington Delaware. I really thought it was a nice boat it had beautiful lines and I never forgot that boat. That was back in 1980. You guys have a beautiful boat.. Safe travels. ☺☺☺
That Morgan is impressive. She is well maintained and well equipped for blue water travel. Side Note: Kelly is a keeper. She has definitely adapted to a boat and cruising lifestyle. Your engineering background is noticeable.
you guys have a nice looking very sound boat,i love your life style & i truly enjoyed your video.you two seem very happy together & please dont stop making magical moments together.my third wife & soulmate passed away from this world in august 2019, she took half my heart with her but we made good memories.thank you for the tour of your home & fair seas & godspeed .
I want one of these. I see people talking about catamarans, but I love being able to fill up with provisions and not having to worry about going in for supplies as much.
Hi Nick and Kelly, Satori is a beautiful boat! We'll add this video to our "Boat Tours" playlist, where you'll join a large selection of boats from a small gaff rigged cutter, to a 80 ft liveaboard wooden beauty. Keep up the great work and fair winds! Chris, Rossella & baby Emma 🙂
Neat gettin to look back over past vids again after seeing where you’ve gotten to. Really neat! You guys are definitely one of my fav sailing channels. Thanks! I’ll be a patron as soon as I get an account.
Love your boat. On a boat you are lucky to have a place for condensers that is not in the open. Where they are is the best place. There are some nice points about your mast which I like. If you get in rough seas and get blown over, you will still have your mast and these newer boats will not have theirs. Also it reinforces the hull. You boat is a tank which is good. I saw a Breaking Wave educational course today. The force of Breaking Waves is incredible. You boat will take it when other new boats go down. So don't let people give you crap about your mast. It might save your life someday.
Though all boats seem to be a compromise in one area or another, I can’t imagine one thing I’d change on yours. Stunning, and well organized. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Maybe we’ll cross trails some day in the Keys! Love and respect, “Pirate Roy”......Rrrrrrrr!
You guys are great, Love what to did to your vessel and all the extra s you added . Good job on the netting for the king. Keep up the adventure, and GOD bless.
Hello Kelly and Nick,I somehow missed this before now,I don't know why???? Anyways,I've seen it now,and very pleased to have done so,answered heaps of questions I had, which is why you made it ,right👍😊 She's a terrific boat, way better than I imagined, and importantly, plenty of yard for the Good King to run around 👍
What a great cruising boat! Dolphin Sonar, funny. Always fun to hand a first time guest a winch handle & ask them to hold it. After guest asks “why can’t I just leave it in the winch pocket “... Explain that that winch handle costs a lot of $ and if they were to fall overboard with it you would be sure to turn back to get it 🤣
I so luv your sailboat it's beautiful an Mr. Author is beyond adorbs. Thanks for the tips I so appreciate an enjoyed watching this video... I always wondered what below deck looked like. It's great nice touches! Fare winds,Following sea's! 🤘❤🌞⛵🌴🍷😊❗
thanks for sharing. your video was one of the better ones for a comprehensive look aboard. i would love to hear what you especially like about this vessel and what is in need of improvement (like solar power)
For a long-distance sailing boat, I would always look at the keel version first; I would never take a short keel with a lot of draft; I would also be extremely reluctant to take a free-standing rudder blade!
It's funny, I never was really attracted to Center Console sailboats before, but yours is really great! I love everything about it! For two people, it must be the equivalent of owning a mansion compared to just a home. I have always been of the school, the smaller the better. I have a 26' sailboat and looked mostly at how much I was saving on bottom paint, lines, equipment and storage. Seems like boats get exponentially more expensive once you get over 30 feet. Because I've had a real small boat that wasn't expensive and still tried to anchor out to save money, I was able to put the best into electronics and other gear. So I always felt I was a head of the game. Until I wanted to invite friends to go out with me and the space was limited. I may have to reconsider next time! Thanks for offering an inside look into the "Life Style of the Rich & Famous"!!
That's not the first time I've heard that... I agree that its a great cruiser, but since it's the only one we've cruised on, I have no comparison. You've inspired me to change the video title... thanks Rick!
Loved the boat tour mate. I noticed how much room Kelly has for all her clothes etc.....it seems your premonition in episode 1 came TRUE. It would have been interesting to see on the boat how much space you had for your clothes etc. Anyhow they say happy wife, happy life....lol !
If the pans (and the sails) are arranged property, it’s not bad. We avoid rough seas, but If it gets rough, we just stow them. Thanks for tuning in Carey!
I was just sort of picking fun with you, I pretty much figured that at the first "clang" of the fire alarm you'd be quick to stow the pans...lol Had a great time visiting thanks for sharing....
Nice boat , and perfect tour , she look like a beautiful Brazilian girl, hehe, your boat is very beautifull, clean and organizer, I hope the best time for you guys.Thumbs up all time from your new Brazilian surfer friend Walter in NY city.
We sailed a 1989 Morgan 41 in the Caribbean for 5 years and now have a 393 Beneteau moored in St. Lucia. I miss the Morgan except for the pointing ability. The Morgan 44 is, I believe one of the best cruising boats for the Caribbean. Solid, comfortable, liveable, plenty of 'inside' storage and a great looking boat. I went through Hurricane Emily in Grenada on our Morgan and wouldn't trade boats with anyone. Your idea's for storage, equipment and set-up are much the same as ours and it seems you have the boat almost figured out. We had the Yanmar 4JH-TE turbo at 68 horses, can't figure out why the factory (Catalina at that time) would only engine it with the 44. Good luck in all your endeavours and if you need advise on great hurricane holes in the windwards, just whistle.
That was a highly enjoyable watch. I laughed out loud a couple of times and liked the d.i.y. mods involving the white plastic tubes all over the place. I really like the PVC storage solutions, giving me a few ideas for my future boat...

Great tour of your boat, a center cockpit/ aft cabin is certainly the way to go !!!!
Excellent video. We loved the boat tour. Your boat is beautiful and looks like you really have it set up to be functional!
Nice boat! I worked for Morgan Yacht from 1972 - 1979. I was a decking crew chief on the Out Island 51.
Very Cool! Thanks Dave!

You have a really fine boat, cleverly organized and a well thought out storage. Enjoyed the tour. Cheers.
Thanks Ramon, we appreciate that!
Very nice walk-thru of boat. Thanks so much for taking the time to video.
Thank you so much for watching!
King Arthur was so kind to let his humans show us his sailing vessel! Great tour!
You know it!
Neat gettin to look back over past vids again after seeing where you’ve gotten to. Really neat! You guys are definitely one of my fav sailing channels. Thanks! I’ll be a patron as soon as I get an account.
Thanks so much!! ❤️
Great boat, even the dog loves it. True live aboard. That back bedroom is nice.
The very best boat tour I've ever seen thanks for the tour
Oh wow, thank you!

Great Video very nice boat you both look like you are having fun and that is what life should be about.
For a long-distance sailing boat, I would always look at the keel version first; I would never take a short keel with a lot of draft; I would also be extremely reluctant to take a free-standing rudder blade!
Thanks guys, a lovely vlog, njoy! Not that you need me to tell you that!

Thanks Brian... both great additions!
Me and my wife are looking for a boat to do something similar … very nice looking boat it just made our list 😊
Nice S/V, thank you for the tour!
Morgan’s are such great boats. Made really well. The 44 is such a perfect couples cruiser
That's not the first time I've heard that... I agree that its a great cruiser, but since it's the only one we've cruised on, I have no comparison. You've inspired me to change the video title... thanks Rick!
Thanks for the tour of your boat.
Great Boat! You know every square inch of it too. I wish you smooth sailing and always happiness.
Thanks!
Loved the boat tour mate. I noticed how much room Kelly has for all her clothes etc.....it seems your premonition in episode 1 came TRUE. It would have been interesting to see on the boat how much space you had for your clothes etc. Anyhow they say happy wife, happy life....lol !
You're right... it's like I can see the future!

Great vid...n heaps of little tricks to boot....ty
Great boat. Excellent tour. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Johnny!
saw your pan arrangement, rough seas must sound like a five alarm fire...lol Thanks for inviting me in
If the pans (and the sails) are arranged property, it’s not bad. We avoid rough seas, but If it gets rough, we just stow them. Thanks for tuning in Carey!

Love the information on the satori
Nice boat! Clever solutions. Thanks for the tour! Enjoy following you from frozen Minnetonka.
Thanks! Stay warm Dan.
Just found your channel. Nice boat tour. Dennis from St Paul, Minnesota
To me this boat has the best size and layout of any mono cruiser I’ve seen (which is just RUclips surfing). I wish more boats had this layout.
Sweet Boat!! Thanks for the tour!

Thank you so much!! And yes we definitely will. Satori is an amazing SV!
Can you share instructions on how you made your PVC beer sleeve? That is awesome!
I kind of just winged it... but we will put on the list for a possible vid in the future.
This was a great video and a really nice boat well thought out
