@@luchats? Umm, lol, I trained for the '88 Olympics with Karolyi-HOW is height a difference in a flip?!?? 😕 Double doubles have been what this flip is called, of course, until the flip is used in a specific competition, where it gets "named" (another part of gymnastics I always disliked-smh).
Because it’s actually hard, despite what some people said it wasn’t. People who can do a Chuso and Silivas now do Chuso because it’s easier to control Chuso landing with less twisting and less effort to maintain the tuck shape.
@@ilitleo There are numerous gymnasts who can do (inconsistent or not) Silivas turning to do Chuso. 1. Skye had trouble doing Silivas but no problem on Chuso. 2. Josc can’t do Silivas, and rather do a Moors and Chuso. 3. Suni had a bad Silivas landing in 2023, and do a Chuso in 2024. 4. Jess replaced a relatively not-good Silivas with an excellent Moors. 5. New gymnasts in Paris quad who did Chuso (Konnor, Hezly, Ashlee, Shoko) outnumbered those who did Silivas. Only relatively good tumblers in the world can do Silivas, but so many choose to do Chuso instead. Partly because people figure out that Chuso is easier to land well in actual competition.
No matter how you slice it, the Silivas is an impressive skill, and kudos to all the athletes featured here for attempting it! But for most of them, I can see why they didn’t keep it in their routines. The gymnasts who aren’t crashing it are barely getting it around, or are landing low with chest down, etc. Under the current COP, all these athletes would be getting so many deductions that the skill wouldn’t be worth trying. Shawn Johnson, Jade Carey, Simone Biles, Morgan Hurd and many others have competed the skill much better…two flips, two twists, and they drop out of the sky and land much better, with far fewer deductions.
Zsofia Kovacs (Hungary) and Viktoria Lustinova have both landed this skill plenty of times, kinda rude to show them falling
Melanie Dejesus Dos Santos did the Silivas as well.
Listunova nailed the double double dozens of times. Why did you picked the one she falls?
the salivas is different than a double double, which is higher
bro the silivas is the exact same thing as a double double
exactly vicki made it so many times
Lol yea that felt a bit petty

Zsófia Kovács is from Hungary, not from Ukraine.
why did so many mess up the landing? I know the salivas is hard but damn

@@cocoroni1031 no way the double double is harder than the Chusovitina.

Because it is a hard skill lol. Simone has said it took her a year to learn the Silivas
Nice!

listunova... 💀
If the athlete crashes the element like Listinova then it isn't completed, it is crashed and worth ZERO!!!
