Cool project, I wish you could have shown how to make it without all those other power tools. Seems like to make the mini drill press you need a multitude of other machines. Still, nice build!

Stil possible to make it without the tools but it will take a long time to make and it wont look as good.

First of all, awesome! I made one for myself, and can't thank you enough for your generosity sharing your build. I did run into some problems, so if anyone encountered them too please comment!
    1. No matter how much sanding, the dremel just wouldn't slide as effortless as yours does in the video mainly because of the friction between the pieces of wood. Tried rubbing a candle on it, helped a little bit. Any other advice?
    2. Especially when I turn it upside down to use it as a sander, the whole thing becomes SUPER loud because of the structure's vibration. How can I minimize this?
Thank you so so much! Greetings from Brazil :)

I would maybe use aluminum tracks: they will be straighter and smoother. Greetings from Brazil as well. :-)

Well, I know what my next project is. I just watched ten different videos about how to make your own drill press - this one makes an all-in-one drill press, router, and both a spindle and thickness sander. Not only that, it's way easier than every other video I saw.
Congratulations on both your skills and your imagination.
    Cheers.

Its very Elegance comes from its Simplicity!! The ability to do practical work makes it a great addition to any craftsman's war chest.
From beginner to Master Craftsman's this project should be in any Dremel user's tool kit!
    Thank you very much.

very nice design!! wil definitely be building this. I have been looking at the factory made pedestals for dremel type tools, but those available here do not have enough distance between the drill bit and the vertical column to allow me to use this for the purpose that I want to use it for. (drilling holes for screws to replace keyboards on mac laptops.)

thank you for sharing your idea with us. I had been putting off making a simple parallel arm design to aid me in drilling holes for larger scrollsaw fret work projects. I came across your video and like your design much better. good part is I have all the materials . I'm changing the throat depth as I need to drill to the middle of 10" materials. Thanks again.

You are already using a drill press and a router table to build this. I'm only using my Jigsaw and a lot of creativity. But thanks for the video. It's my favoutrite of it's kind.
But i see a screw in the middle of the piece: 14:40. I guess it's to support the track. It is not described in the project, but i'm adding that one too.

    lol allways funny to watch..
how to buil a hobby drill stand with a pro drill (n other pro tool) 😂
Now i go home and figuerd out how to drill stray holes without a existing pro drill..to build my hobby drill..
not bad meaned but kind of ironic in my op.
the video is good made ✌
