this over blown crap is garbage!video games don't have any real direction or completion anymore it's just all over the place. as far as genres are concerned.
after watching this trailer, I can definitely see that more production value was put into this than the Dark pictures games. I'm not saying that the dark pictures games are cheap to make, but not only are there more big named actors in this newest title ( David Arqutte, Brenda Song, Ariel Winters, Lance henrikson,) but the graphics and character models look like they have way more polish on them as opposed to the unfinished, derpiness that the graphics in the dark pictures games have. Also I'm just happy we FINALLY have a new supermassive game where they don't just reuse the same 16 face models over and over again.
I actually think the facial animation here is quite bad compared to what some other narrative driven games have done in recent years. The faces look good in stills, but as soon as they start emoting they look like weird puppets.
@@stephenpatterson8056 i didn't get that feeling at all here. If anything you just described how I felt about the faces in House of ashes. All the characters in that game talk, act, and move like animatronics. Granted, trailer don't ALWAYS represent the FINAL look of the game. Just look at the trailer for Detroit become human and compare it the opening mission of the game, it actually looked BETTER than the trailer. What gives me a BIT more hope for this game is the fact that it looks like it's going to be a lengthier story and it's being produced by a different studio than Bandai Namco (which as I stated before, just reuses the same assets and faces in ALL of their dark pictures games to save budget). As of RIGHT NOW, this game looks like it has a bit more production value than the other DPA games. If I was wrong three months from now, I'll admit it. 🤷🏿♂️
@KnightfallProtocol Well yeah it certainly has higher production value just look at all those names!!! LOL but seriously there's very little nuance to the facial animation. The mouths barely move. The eyes move slightly. The rest of the face looks like it was hit with botox. Could it change before launch? Perhaps. But I doubt it. I just look at older titles like Control, Uncharted 4, TLOU 2, even Ratchet and Clank as games with really expressive facial animations. And it's really important in a game like this since it's really just a visual novel/interactive movie. Don't really have gameplay to back it up. This thing is essentially all story and presentation
Sound design is absolutely incredible. Loved Until Dawn, can't wait to play through this one multiple times and hopefully get some interesting different endings :)

We need a Quarry sequel who here wants one if you do then let’s make it known it can happen if we make it known we want one #TheQuarrysequel#TheQuarry2 #TheQuarryPart2
@some Xud I mean not instantly but I think if we don’t make it clear we want one now we won’t have the chance to later. But I would love a sequel as you could develop the characters more and Eliza still out there so you can argue there more room for a story whatever ending there is. I think it’s possible bc the Quarry very successful.
@some Xud I would have Travis and leave it mysterious the fates of everyone else. But I would have it be like a reunion for them all to come back and talk about the tumour the place would be shut so it’s a more spooky and run down environment and see the circus area in the ending. But have all the characters speak and find out what Jacob did what everyone did on that night. Have Eliza curse someone that becomes a werewolf and kills people. Laura would get involved when people die. It’s got a lot of potential for a sequel

Creature: Werewolf, or werewolf type Why: So, overall, I think its safe to say the trailer gives off a lot of werewolf vibes (lots of full moon shots). But the big give away is at 1:42. If you slow it down, you can make out a silhouette of the creature's face and hand. It looks like it has a snout. About the Werewolf: The werewolf might have been contained in the bunker area that the yellow door leads to. At 0:56 you can see the lock on the yellow door being cut. At 0:52 you can see jean jacket guy and pink hat women standing at the top of the stairs. The women is holding a tool, either a wire cutter or shears, so its safe to assume that they are the ones who cut the lock off and that the yellow door leads to the stairs. At 1:42 jean jacket guy gets smoked, and pink hat turning around. This is presumably at the bottom of the stairs. So, pink hat and jean jacket probably let the werewolf out when they opened the door. This leads to 1:10 and 1:27. Red sleeve dude flexes his survival instincts by investigating weird sound, and at 1:27 red sleeve dude becomes red shirt dude after his investigation. 1:27 is also where we meet Big Boy (buff dude with hat), who will probably be playing the chaotic neutral role. Also, I can't be for sure, but cult damage shirt guy may have been shooting behind Big Boy instead of at him. Also, like the mines in Until Dawn, the werewolf may be using some kind of underground system. Red Hair's wonderland adventure at 1:39 and the second bunker that Red Hair is in at 1:05 might allude to this. This bunker isn't Yellow Door Bunker because it looks different. Also, in the Yellow Door Bunker, there appears to be a possible pulley system at 1:43 . The Police Man: The police man knows about the werewolf from the start. That may be why he was so eager to get the counsellors out before the night, but I can't say for certain. It was kind of odd that the car wasn't working, but then it was and he drove off without any passengers, claiming to come back in the morning. Plus, in classic Until Dawn fashion, there are probably more threats than supernatural beings. Back to the point, the werewolf and the police man are heavily intertwined. The reason why we know he knows of the werewolf's existence isn't just because of his anxiousness, but also because of the part at 1:36 . We see a police man standing in front of the open yellow doors, a gun in his right hand and a syringe in his left. I can't be positive if this is the policeman in the beginning, but I'm leaning towards yes. Anyways, the fact that the policeman is at the doors means that he knows the location of the werewolf's lair, and the syringe he's holding may indicate that there is a cure for the werewolf. I could see this scene as being either a flashback, or maybe the police man returning before morning to try and stop the werewolf. I'm leaning towards this scene not being a flashback, because I have a theory that the police man ends up failing to stop the werewolf and gets infected in the process. That's because at 1:42 , when we see the werewolf jump down from the ceiling, if you look under its left armpit, you can see what I believe to be is a sheriff's badge or something like that. Also, at the right of the creature, you can see what might be a holster on his hip. Plus, I think the color of the uniform looks similar to the police man's at 1:36 , but it's pretty hard to be certain. These are the theories that I think the trailer backs the best, at least from what I could find. The theory not so backed by the trailer: At 0:52, we see carvings in a tree. It has ever scratched out and then summer written underneath. It's possible that one of the lovers, Emma or Jacob, had died or had something supernatural happen to them. Also, it's fairly probable that this is the same tree that we see at 0:49 . If one of them had died, then maybe they are going to be the source of the ghost activity. Or, maybe some freak accident happened, and one of them became the werewolf. Or, maybe they aren't significant at all and just date for a summer instead 4 forever. Either way, I feel like their story will be important. Besides the counsellors, we are shown an array of characters that I'm going to refer to as the locals, the people like Big Boy. I think that the locals, including the police man, were all aware of the werewolf and the tale of Hatchett Quarry and Emma and Jacob. Hell, maybe they went to camp together back in the day, and one of them is either Jacob or Emma. Especially because Big Boy has an old beat up Hatchett hat on. Either way, some weird paranormal tragedy struck, and a secret only known to the locals were born. I imagine at some point, one of the locals maybe betrays the others or the policeman, hence why the car didn't work in the beginning of the trailer. So some sabotage might come into play. But, what could be possible is that the policeman might have been Jacob and the werewolf was Emma. They were able to trap the werewolf behind the yellow doors, but because he cares about Emma, he couldn't bring himself to kill her. Maybe he's been spending his time searching for a cure, hence his holding the syringe at 1:36 . There's also a very final and confrontational feeling to that scene. It just feels heavy. Off the cusp theories/random details: If this game really is about a werewolf, then maybe the Red Hair women is a reference to Little Red Riding Hood. Also, we saw here crawling through that small hole in the ground, kind of like Alice in Wonderland and the rabbit hole. There is really no point to this, just kind of wondering if her character might be referencing some fables/fairytales. There will probably be ghosts. At 1:58 , it looks like Pink Hat is being stalked by some ghouls. I have no idea what's going on with Brochacho. All I know is that when he's being dragged at 1:28 , he's got a creepy smile, or maybe a really poorly executed grimace. This trailer looks awesome, and I can't wait for the game to come out. If anyone wants to add or contradict my theories, or put down a thought, please do. I'm interested to hear more!
Forgot to mention that you will probably have to play back the trailer in 0.25 speed or lower to catch some of the details for the parts I timestamped.
@@hm4645 Thanks man! I spent wayyyy too much time on this, but regret nothing lol. Honestly just surprised you read all of that...😅 I'm super hyped to see what happens!
Are you saying David Arquette at the beginning is a police officer? He looks more like a forest ranger. You can see by his name tag (C.Hackett), so he owns the quarry and camp. Cast list names him as Chris Hackett. There's a line in the trailer he says; "Terrified kids are bad for business." I wonder who he is saying this to.
@@tlrelement I thought that David might be a police officer out of official uniform or something. But now that you mention it, I think your explanation is right. Also didn't catch his name tag-- you got some good eyes! So, that means that he probably isn't the police officer that we saw holding the syringe. Also, as for who he was saying "terrified kids are bad for business" to, I think that may be the guy with the cult damage shirt (Justice Smith). At 1:45 , David is telling Smith to lay off the ghost stories. Smith is a counselor, so he was probably telling ghost stories to kids and scaring them, which of course would be bad for business. That's my speculation as to who he is saying that line to. Thanks for the input, hoping to hear more!

Wow, I loved the games from these developers so much, it's a pity that everything happened in the world like this now. The developers of the greatest success.
Just realised Ryan is referencing the Dark Pictures Anthology at 1:18.
Zombies = Undead crew in Man of Medan
Aliens = Demons in House of Ashes
Time hopping Draculas = Combination of the time travel in Little Hope and again the demons in House of Ashes

I mean. This isn't part of the dark picture series tho

I really liked detroit become human aswell.
this over blown crap is garbage!video games don't have any real direction or completion anymore it's just all over the place. as far as genres are concerned.
after watching this trailer, I can definitely see that more production value was put into this than the Dark pictures games.
Not only that but LIN FREAKING SHAY FROM THE INSIDIOUS FRANCHISE IS HERE TOO!!

We need a Quarry sequel who here wants one if you do then let’s make it known it can happen if we make it known we want one #TheQuarrysequel#TheQuarry2
#TheQuarryPart2

Creature: Werewolf, or werewolf type
Why: So, overall, I think its safe to say the trailer gives off a lot of werewolf vibes (lots of full moon shots).
Off the cusp theories/random details:
If this game really is about a werewolf, then maybe the Red Hair women is a reference to Little Red Riding Hood.
WOW, you should be a detective :P Will be fun to come back to this once the game is out and compare your theories :D Game looks ACE!
