Europe is the place to be. What's the point of life if you spend 40-50 hours of your life working each week barely being able to afford bills. To only get an allowance of 2-3 weeks vacation every year? If you can even afford to take a vacation.
Meanwhile, other countries have a minimum of 1 month vacation with many sectors allowing you to build up more vacation time. A good example of that is Australia. My Wife's cousin lives in Australia working as a Nurse and she get's 2 months paid vacation every year. That's far better than the joke of a vacation we get in Canada.

When I see this video and others, I realized that there are many people of different backgrounds, some Christians, some Muslims, some East Europeans who grew up in Communism... people who chose to live in Canada, people who were thriving at some point... and then, in last 2-3 years, something happened that crossed the line from their point of view... something that was beyond their principles, belief and moral values to accept for themselves or for the future of their children... and so, many people are thinking to leave or already left the country.
I consider that an important factor is also the fact that none of us, immigrants, were inspired to feel patriotic about Canada. That is why, coming or leaving, are easy options, with no strong feelings keeping people tied. From the very beginning it was a surprise for me, coming from Romania where I was raised to love my country, to work for the good and prosperity of my country, like an ideal that always gave motivation and inspiration.
In 2002-2003 I was eager to see how Canada Day is celebrated, but nobody did anything, other than staying home. However, on the weekend of Canada Day, they all celebrated the diversity of sex. Canada Day assimilated pride day. There was no celebration and no events about loving Canada, but all about loving sex in all forms and with anyone...
I went to see out of curiosity the so-called "pride parade".
I saw balloons and candies in penis shapes, tens of men completely naked in the middle of the main downtown street, prostitution, simulation of sexual perversions in the parade, other harlotry and inappropriate behavior for the eyes of a child, took place on the street.. For me it seemed disgusting, like moving the bedroom affairs in the street, and being forced to watch porno movies (bad type, with ugly naked men) in the street.
After having kids, I tried to always spend that Canada Day weekend out of the city, to not expose my kids to that view. Many times I took trips in US on that weekend and it was close to America Day, Independence Day, where I admired how patriotic everybody celebrated in America.
It is true that in school the kids are singing "Oh, Canada" every morning, and they learn to love Canada. However, adult immigrants, people with families, or straight, don't find a strong motivation to have a nationalist feeling about Canada, which is not even properly celebrated, so there are not enough feelings developing in order to stay in good times and bad times, like the difference between a marriage for love or a marriage for interest.

One major aspect lacking in Canada is a soul. Having relocated from Canada to the USA 23 years ago, I've observed that, regardless of any criticisms one may have about Americans, they undeniably possess distinctive personalities. Though they might be boisterous, assertive, and sometimes overbearing, they exhibit strong opinions and a fervent spirit. THEYRE ALIVE! Each return to Canada I notice the only thing they are passionate about is their disdain for Trump and the fact that they are not Americans (God forbid). They blindly support woke politics, which I find quite off-putting. Canada is over!

Small businesses are painted as "dangerous" by government and media. The public buys into it and supports the regulations that are unaffordable for small businesses. The most recent example was BC where a fraudulent claim that milk was tainted was amplified by the press. This resulted in new regulations causing further consolidation of dairy into a few large entities.

  • @mikhailhunter5277
    @mikhailhunter5277 9 месяцев назад +5

Canada is mostly a one-sided left-wing country. left-wing politicians tend to cater more to big corporations than right-wing politicians believe it or not. Let me explain... left-wing politicians tend to implement more regulations that are unfriendly to business owners. The only businesses that can manage the burden of regulations and red tape are big corporations. They are also the only kinds of businesses that can afford a lawsuit. The corporations pass the cost of compliance onto the consumers, so when they hire compliance teams, they put the cost of that into the products. Large corporations don't mind the regulations all that much because it keeps new more innovative businesses from springing up and taking market share, they'll even lobby politicians for more regulations. They donate to political campaigns and in turn, politicians pass regulations or do things that benefit the corporations.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.
Their are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

I feel that they refuse to create public spaces for people to hang out. You just need some benches put together in a circle in a park and maybe some landmark or fountain in the middle to look at, but no. They would only want you to walk or bike in the park, maybe have a piknik with family, but that's about it. In European parks, they have something for everyone in public parks. Playgrounds for kids, places to have coffee for the parents, basketball courts for teens, chess tables for the seniors, chairs surrounding some statue or fauntain for people to chat and so on all nearby each other, so people of all kinds intermingle. We all love the European old streets with places where people actually want to be. Why can't we have that here? Why is it just in private settings like Wonderland or the mall that we are allowed to have fun? Is it the protestant heritage that dictates you to only mend your garden and have no life outside of work and family?

In Canada the rent is too damn high and the wages are too damn low. The medical system here is completely screwed. The government has brought in millions of immigrants since Justine Dildeau became prime minister. In that same time the baby boomers have reached the age, (70+) where they need a lot of medical care. In this time they haven't built hospitals for this increased need. There weren't enough hospitals 10 years ago.
You can't find a family doctor. Many doctors are retiring and just closing their practices. You have to go to the emergency room at the hospital and wait times can be 16 hours or more.
Kids are pushed to go to University and take on tons of debt and in most cases the "education" they get is worthless and they end up with a job they could have gotten out of highschool with no debt.
For anyone thinking of moving to Canada consider this; our economy is about to crash real bad. I can think of better places to be than here when times get really tough.

I don't think your life is that boring. I do agree that you can be individualistic but also private. I saw an old woman with a walker and a bag of groceries walking as slow as a turtle, bent over. No one helped her. If you hate crowds and love being outdoors, Canada is great. I know you say that the country is geared told older people but I saw many older people who seemed to be in financially dire straits. I do feel at home in Canada, much more so than the US. Canada is a very, very boring country. I totally agree with all of this. I’ve lived in all the major cities in canada. Alberta is especially boring with the same franchise stores and strip malls everywhere but outside of the core parts of other major cities, the situation is the same.
One thing that is frustrating is that any sort of “fun” is generally some sort of outdoor sport (skiing, hiking, snowshoeing etc) which are boring activities that I don’t enjoy.
Vancouver and Montreal are the best of the big cities. There is at least more of a cafe culture and more mom and pop shops but they are also super woke (especially Montreal.)

A lot of the lifestyle complaints you have are not unique to Canada. They're much the same throughout the western world. It's a consequence of our advanced stage of development and our history. For example most western countries have an aging population because most of them had massive population growth in the 50s and 60s.

    • @NasAlive1
      @NasAlive1  9 месяцев назад +1

We lack culture. To me Canada feels soulless and this has nothing to do with our ageing population. Large corporations dominate various industries making it difficult for individuals and families to compete. Tight zoning laws and regulations are also to blame. The large corporations influences the career opportunities available to us Canadians. The result is we all have homogenized lives, depriving us of diversity and culture. That is prominent Canadian problem. How many mom and pop shops do we have when compared to Europe, Mexico or even the US?
Some stats: "Canada is the second largest franchise industry by number of outlets, with over 76,000 franchised outlets in operation. It is also the second largest franchise industry by economic output, generating over $170 billion in sales annually." This is WILD considering our small population when compared to other countries around the world. We truly lead cookie cutter lives.

We have to have very good reasons to stay in Canada. And as an Aussie, I do! Its for the things that doesn't exist downunder, like the scale of the film and tech industries. And for most of the world, its still worth it because all the problems you mentioned. In India, Phillipines or Nigeria for example, its so much worst, its actually a refreshing change to be here living in a country with fresh air, people minding their own business, given the opportunity to work hard, and feel appreciated for the contribution. Without the toxic cultural baggage and people watching your back. And it is so much safer here than the rest of the world, especially against climate change!
People must be willing to adapt and compromise or rightfully so for those who immigrated here. Different mindset than those who are born here. I always encourage people to leave and explore the world.
But honestly, I think you're describing problems in Vancouver! Toronto and Montreal is vastly more dynamic. The communities are engaging and very vibrant. In here, people are less about polite but rather genuinely want to help you! And the weather has more sunshines even in winter! And there's soooooo much to do and there's a lot to see and experience. All the people who moved here from Vancouver said the same thing as you. And truly parts of Canada sucks, but not all suck. Despite all its problems, I know I can always go back to somewhere decent. And for majority of the world, Canada is still so much better than where they're from!🎉

In my case it's permanent unfortunately. It comes with a slight hearing loss (you see me doing the hearing test in the video). I've accepted it. Most times I don't hear it because my brain tunes it out. But when I was anxious about it, it was the only thing I could hear. Having all of this said, of course check with a doctor. Sometimes the causes are easily fixable, for example if you have an ear wax build up.

@@NasAlive1 Thanks for the reply. Sorry about that! Have to wonder if you had _not_ had to wait so long in Canada to get treatment that the tinnitus could have been reduced or eliminated...

However, in the case of hearing loss, the brain is confused as to the missing frequencies and is making it appear "real" when they're no longer there or reduced. So a hearing aid that magnifies that lost spectrum could be used to re-train the brain to not be confused about the missing spectrum so much. Good luck getting such a hearing in Canada I guess.
See actor William Shatner how used such a device to cure his tinnitus.

@@NasAlive1same here. Lost 70% of my hearing in my right ear and with it came tinnitus. Happened in 2008. It was a virus that attached the nerve my ear.

@@NasAlive1 Also, back when the hearing loss was happening I sat in the emergency room for 7 hrs just to see someone. I HAVE NEVER been in so much pain. I had two of my children at home, both 10 pounds, with no medication, all natural.
The hearing loss pain, I will always remember. 7 bloody hrs.
      F’ Canada.

Some valid points for sure. It is confusingly expensive here and the health care system is slow. No question. Its also a safe, friendly and free country with a good amount of opportunity. I think it was better 20 years ago. It has fallen. It can be improved though.
The weather...I like the weather in Vancouver, but I get its not for everyone.
I struggle with, if I were to leave, where would I go? This is home. All my family and most of my old friends are here. Anywhere you go there are advantages and disadvantages. Dubai, sure nice medical clinics, but there are brutal human rights violations there and its a raging hot desert. The USA has a lot to offer, but it's not perfect either. Europe is cool, but it's crammed with people and the major cities are expensive. Plus there is a language barrier.
Ive looked at Latin America. Great weather and its cheap, but its only cheap because Im coming from Canada. It's not cheap for the majority of poor locals. Same with Portugal/Spain. Plus the corruption and crime...
Overall, while there are valid criticisms for Canada, it is still a great place to live. I think we can work on some of the problems, but hey, we can't solve winter.
Woke culture won't last forever. There is already considerable pushback from a good amount of level headed Canadians.
Want to leave Canada? Sure. Go for it. I occasionally consider it too. But I'd leave to go be alone in some foreign place with, for the most part, less opportunity for the next generation (there are exceptions here).
    Peace!

seems that you live way over your means--about debt, don't spend twice your salary & you'll be fine. Go see elsewhere, but you'll also find bad sides, some even worse. About the sunshine, it's winter reality here. After 50 winters, I don't mind anymore. If you don't like cold & winter sports, better stay locked inside, but it's even worse.
